Purchased A Mr. Right

Chapter 1965

Chapter 1965

...

Desmond leaned back and said, "Go ahead."

Mia said, "Josiah works in your company, right? Lyle is his crazy fan, so could you please ask him for a special autograph?"

On the phone, Lyle told her that Josiah would hold a concert.

In the end, she urged Tina to ask Desmond for Josiah's special signature.

After all, Desmond was Josiah's boss. It would be a pity not to use such a good resource.

It was not easy to get Josiah's signature. His fans would line up early in the morning to attend his fan meetings, and only the super lucky ones could get a special signature.

Desmond crossed his legs. "A piece of cake."

He had the demeanor of being omnipotent.

Mia asked thoughtfully, "Will it be troublesome for you?"

Desmond replied lazily, "No!"

He was the boss. Who would refuse to do a small favor for his boss?

Mia originally thought that such a sudden request would trouble him. Seeing him being so generous, she couldn't help asking, "Then could you get another one?"

Desmond asked, "For another classmate?"

"No." Mia shook her head and said with some embarrassment, "For me!"

Desmond fell silent, feeling displeased somehow.

...

He narrowed his eyes, gazing into her eyes. "Do you like Josiah too? What do you like about him?"

Mia did not hide it from him and answered seriously, "Well, I'm also his fan. He's very handsome!"

Desmond was once again speechless.

What the f*ck...

She said he was handsome! Seemingly irritated by this, he suddenly had lost his appetite.

Desmond suddenly put down the tableware in his hand- he then took out a tissue, wiped his mouth, and got up to leave.

Seeing this, Mia looked surprised. "Desmond, are you full already?"

He hadn't yet touched the cuttlefish sausages and fried eggs on his plate.

Desmond gritted his teeth. "Yes! I'm going to work!"

Mia believed it and nodded. "Oh, be careful on your way!"

Desmond was speechless.

Talking properly was an art. Obviously, Mia hadn't grasped it. Desmond felt that sooner or later he would die of anger.

Mia finally realized Desmond was unhappy.

In the evening, Mia came back from school and Desmond returned from work. But he ignored her the whole time. He talked to the driver and Sabine but didn't say a word to her. When he saw her, he would put on a straight face.

Mia was startled.

She felt wronged.

Although she didn't know what had happened, she was aware that it was she who had upset Desmond, so she had to coax him.

She had never coaxed a man.

She called Josiah for help. After listening to what she said, Lyle immediately scolded Desmond for being a shameless man. He dared to put on airs just after they got married!

Nevertheless, Lyle offered her two ideas.

The following day, Desmond casually finished his breakfast. Without even glancing at her, he swaggered off to the company.

Mia was not in a hurry to go to school but went into the kitchen.

She asked Sabine to prepare something for her.

Seeing that she was wearing an apron, Sabine hurriedly said, "What do you want?"

"Well, thanks, but I'd better do it myself!" Mia shook her head and sighed. "I seem to have made Desmond unhappy. I want to make some delicious food to coax him. It's more sincere to do it myself!"

Unhappy? Did they quarrel with each other?

Sabine’s spirits shifted immediately when she heard the critical news.

When Mia was busy in the kitchen, Sabine sneaked into the living room and called someone to report this.

Mia cook rice porridge.

Besides, she made two meat dishes and four vegetable dishes, which filled two thermal lunch boxes. © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

Simon brought them to the school first. After class at noon, she went to the E and M building instead of the canteen.

...

Its entire structure was constructed according to Desmond's request. Well, the building was uniquely coquettish. From afar, it looked like a robot.

Unlike other entertainment companies, it wasn't easy to join the E and M. All their entertainers would take the initiative to renew the contracts. After all, it was better to rely on a large and renowned group.

She saw many large posters on the two sides of the corridor when she entered the building.

Almost all A-listers of the entire entertainment industry were here at the E and M.

At the end of the corridor was a group photo of E and M's employees taken at the annual meeting.

Desmond was in a sapphire suit, with maroon curly hair and dashingly handsome facial features. He stood out even among those dazzling stars.

In the entertainment industry, his face was more valuable than any other star's.

After admiring his face for a while, Mia got into the elevator.

At the same time, Desmond was in the meeting room upstairs.

The shutters in the room were closed, and everyone was looking at the projection screen while listening to the project manager's report.

Desmond's most capable male secretary walked up to him and said in a lowered voice. "Mrs. Chin has arrived. I've asked Mary to bring her into your office!"

As soon as Mia came out of school, his driver reported it to Desmond.

Desmond knew that she had personally made some dishes for him and visited him in the company.

He had been waiting for her the whole time.

Hearing this, Desmond raised an eyebrow and said calmly with a cool face, "Okay."

He sat extremely steadily, unperturbed, not showing any intention of moving.

The secretary was not in a hurry to say anything. He just stood aside, waiting.

In less than five minutes, he saw Desmond knocking on the table with a pen in his hand complained impatiently, "Why hasn't the meeting ended?"

Everyone was speechless.

The secretary cleared his throat and said very calmly, "Everyone, that's all for this meeting. If you have anything else to report, send an email, and we'll discuss them again at the summary-up meeting!"

Desmond then announced that the meeting was over!

Holding a pile of documents, everyone left the room silently, including those who hadn't yet reported.

Desmond headed straight for his office.

He strode in through his open office door and saw two thermal lunch boxes on the table.

The black lunch boxes were somewhat too plain, but Mia put them in a canvas bag with a cute rabbit print, making the two boxes much more pleasing to the eye.

Desmond looked around the room. "Where is she?"

The secretary replied, "She seems to be in the bathroom. I'll let Mary have a look!"

Two minutes later, the secretary came back.

Desmond looked at him with questioning eyes.

The secretary hesitated before saying, "Mary said that Mrs. Chin was out of the bathroom. Well, she is now..."

Since the E and M were large entertainment companies with many famous stars, it was too easy to meet stars here.

When Mia came out of the bathroom, she ran into a few stars along the way.

However, she stayed very calm.

Abruptly, she caught sight of a figure and couldn't help chasing after him.

Josiah was a singer and dancer with huge followings whose stage performance was full of explosive power.

Lyle loved him very much. Mainly because of her influence, Mia also became his fan. However, she was not that crazy about him as Lyle, for she was usually too occupied. In addition to studying, she also needed to practice violin and do other things. She could only spare some time to attend his concerts.

Although Josiah dressed casually today, wearing a cap and no makeup, Mia, who had seen him many times on the stage, still recognized him at a glance.

Although Desmond had promised to help, he never mentioned the matter again. It seemed that he had changed his mind.

But Lyle was still looking forward to getting his signature.

At this time, when Mia saw Josiah, she didn't want to miss the opportunity, so she intended to do it herself.
