Chapter 184: Looking For The Phone Thief
Chapter 184: Looking For The Phone Thief
She closed her eyes and recalled the moment she was bumped into, retrieving the memories of the man who had stolen her phone. “Can I borrow a pen and a paper?”
The handsome foreigner handed her a black pen and an A4 size paper.
Fang Xinxin received it and held the pen to quickly sketch the man’s appearance on the white paper. It was a young man with a heart-shaped jawline. He had been wearing a black scarf and a cap at the time.
After a couple of minutes, she finished her sketch and handed it to the blonde foreigner. “I’m looking for this man.”
“Who is he? How is he related to you?” The blonde handsome man was extremely curious. He took in the sketch and praised her. “You drew it so well on paper. It feels like he could leap out of the drawing anytime. It seems like your drawing skills are really strong!” She wasn’t completely useless.
Fang Xinxin glanced at him. “I thought underground organisations disliked asking questions? Your second question doesn’t seem related to the ‘task’ I have for you.”
“My name is Ya Lun.” The blonde, handsome foreigner smiled radiantly and then shared his English name with her. “You can just call me Aaron.”
“All right. Handsome Brother Ya Lun.” Fang Xinxin rubbed her temples. “Since your Chinese is good, there’s no need for you to put on airs.”
“Of course.” Ya Lun continued smiling radiantly as he responded in Chinese. He even winked at her. If he took it a step further, his bright, straight teeth would be radiating light.
“Beautiful, I’m the second-in-command of Hei Xiao. I’m handsome and cool, elegant and intelligent. Most normal people wouldn’t even get to know my name. I’m making an exception by being friends with you. That should be a sufficient reason for you to answer my questions, isn’t it?” Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
“As if people like you would make friends.” Fang Xinxin smiled as well. “But, I’ll give you some face since you called me beautiful.”
She had heard too many people calling her ugly and fat. Even though Ya Lun’s ‘beautiful’ did not have any sincerity in it, she was still pleased by the sound of it. “Let me tell you, he is a thief. Three years ago, he stole my phone.”
Ya Lun naturally knew she would not be looking for someone because of a lost phone. “The reason you’re looking for him?”
This time, she was the one sizing him up curiously. “I heard that Hei Xiao is efficient and ruthless when it comes to handling tasks and they rarely waste their breath on other things. Why doesn’t that seem to be the case?”
“We don’t bother wasting our salivas with other people. But when it comes to a beautiful woman...” Ya Lun put on an amiable expression. “I’m still willing to know more about her and become her friend.”
Fang Xinxin took in his probing gaze. “I think the person you’re looking to make friends with is Bai Qinghao.”
Ya Lun was caught off guard. He had not expected her to be this sharp. If this went on any further, he would give himself away. Thus, he appeared unmoved as he smiled. “It’ll naturally be a good thing to make friends with Bai Qinghao. I wonder if the Third Fang Lady is willing to introduce us?”
“No.” She did not wish for the powerful and noble Bai Qinghao to interact with this sort of organisation. It would be troublesome if they caused problems for Bai Qinghao. “Are you willing to accept this deal?”
As long as they found the thief and asked about the true instigator from three years ago, they would be able to obtain the truth about her brother’s accident.
“Of course.” Ya Lun scanned the paper onto his laptop. It immediately began matching appearances based on his database. However, he continued asking lightly. “Do you have other information about this man?”
Fang Xinxin shook her head. “I only have this sketch.”
Ya Lun noticed the main point. “Miss Fang, your memory is really amazing. It’s already been three years and you barely brushed shoulders with this man. Yet, you were still able to draw out such an impeccable sketch. It seems like you are able to perfectly recall everything you have seen!”
