Chapter 43 Angel Was Ever Better Than Anna
Chapter 43 Angel Was Ever Better Than Anna
The first to arrive were the ones from the Newman Family, the Hall Family, and the Pearson Family.
Charles was with his wife, Sofia, and his daughter, Anna on both sides.
Sofia had an indifferent expression on her face. As Charles and Anna greeted others, she just slightly
nodded without saying much.
Anna was dressed in a white dress today with a light blue belt around her waist which was knotted on
one side into a light blue rose, making her look chic and refreshing. Her whole outfit set off her face
which was originally beautiful, making her look more extraordinary as if she were a fairy.
With a light smile on the corner of her lips, she greeted every acquaintance politely.
Charles's face was as serious and composed as ever.
They were followed by a couple from the Hall Family. As Dennis Hall walked, he whispered to his wife,
Jessie Graham. William kept staring at Anna as if everything around him had nothing to do with him.
His clothes today matched Anna's. He wore a white three-piece suit with a light blue tie that matched
Anna's belt.
This pair of the beautiful and handsome young couple immediately attracted everyone's attention.
Laura was holding the arms of her father, Marcus Pearson. With a light smile on the corner of her lips,
she kept staring at William and Anna from time to time. Wearing a bright red dress today, as usual, she
looked beautiful and noble. She was a beautiful woman who wouldn’t easily be inconspicuous among
the crowd.
As soon as Anna saw Alexia, she intimately took Alexia's arms, "Aunt Alexia, your gown is so beautiful!
When it comes to a dress of such a color, only someone whose temperament and skin tone like yours
can handle it. You indeed are good at choosing clothes!"
Alexia graciously allowed Anna, Laura, and other noblewomen who came to observe her dress after
they heard Anna’s words. Then she proudly said, “My Angel personally picked it for me! I think she has
good taste as well. So I will leave what I should wear in the future to her."
Anna smiled more affectionately, "Where is Angel? I brought Laura along with me to see her. They are
almost at the same age. So I think they will get along with each other."
Alexia immediately looked around and shouted, "Angel!"
Angel responded from afar, lifting her skirt and walking over gracefully.
As a coordinator of this banquet, she had been helping her aunt. And as time went on, the ones from
the PR department and the housekeeper at home would come directly to her if they needed anything.
After all, in their opinion, Angel was much more talkative than Miss Alexia.
When Angel approached, Anna couldn’t help but suck in a breath of cold air, feeling that she almost
couldn’t maintain the smile on her face.
As for the red dress Angel was wearing, Anna had seen it on the runway, only to find that it was the
"summer" dress out of the "Your Four Seasons" series which beat David Lee’s work!
When she saw the skirt on Alexia's body, it suddenly occurred to her that the nude-colored one on
Alexia's body was the one named "spring". It was just that the color shouldn’t be the one on the runway,
which was why she didn't recognize it for a moment.
"Aunt." Angel came to them with a smile, gently lifting the hem of her skirt with one hand. And she got
an elegant posture and a sweet smile on her face.
"Angel, come here. Let me introduce you to everyone." Alexia immediately held Angel's hand.
Angel greeted everyone one by one under Alexia's introduction.
"Uncle Charles, Aunt Sofia, Sister Anna."
"Uncle Dennis, Auntie Jessie, Brother William."
"Uncle Marcus, Sister Laura."
Angel’s well-behaved look stunned Anna. And for a moment, she even had a feeling that this Angel
wasn’t the same as the one she knew.
She had always been reserved and cold towards her.
Seeing Angel, Sofia stared at her quickly and stared closely at her face without saying a word.
She subconsciously gripped Charles with her hands. Charles felt the pain and shook off her hands,
glaring at her.
Sofia awkwardly stopped staring at Angel and turned her head to look at others. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
Angel looked at her and couldn't help but feel pain in her heart. Even so, she listened to Jessie talking
to her with a smile on her face as usual.
"Oh my God, is this Angel? Ouch, she simply looks so similar to Isabelle. Alexia, don't you think so?"
Jessie asked Alexia with surprise as well as joy.
Alexia smiled and said, "Yes. As the saying goes, like mother, like daughter. The more Angel ages, the
more she looks like my sister-in-law."
Jessie couldn't help but pull Angel's hands, "What a beauty she is! She looks more beautiful than her
mom at her age. Yo, look at her. she's so, so good looking."
Angel smiled gently, looking decent and elegant.
Laura couldn’t hide her shock.
She thought to herself, “How come this little girl was so beautiful. While standing in front of her, even
Anna is overshadowed.
And judging from her gentle and well-behaved appearance, no one will think that she is a fool. Nobody
will remember this fact anymore.”
Laura glanced at Anna who was standing next to her with a smile on her face. However, in her heart,
she knew that Anna probably had met a strong opponent this time.
When it came to the things which Anna possessed, whether it was her family background, her look,
and her temperament, or her talent, Angel had it all. And Angel was even better than Anna.
For some reason, Laura looked at Angel, feeling a chill rising behind her.
Charles looked at his wife who was silent beside him, feeling annoyed in his heart. In his opinion, if
Sofia could be as socially proactive as Jessie, he surely would be in less trouble.
On this kind of occasion, females needed to show up to socialize with each other. However, Sofia didn’t
say a word.
Suppressing his anger, Charles said amiably, “Angel, you are so grown-up in a blink of an eye. Back
then, you used to hang out with my Belle when you were both little girls. Angel, now that Belle is gone.
Her sister, Anna is still here. You should visit my family more frequently in the future.”
It was clear that Sofia's body stiffened after she heard Charles’ words.
Angel didn’t respond upon hearing Charles's words. Instead, she smiled at Sofia, "Aunt Sofia, aren’t
you feeling well? I'll have someone take you to the VIP room to have a rest there."
Everyone looked at Sofia.
Jessie said with concern, "Ouch! Sofia, your face is so pale. Let me accompany you to take a rest."
She held Sofia with one hand.
Angel said, "Thank you, Auntie Jessie. Sorry for causing trouble to you."
Jessie smiled and said, "Look at Angel. Why is she articulate and talkative? It doesn’t trouble me at all.
I'll accompany your Aunt Sofia to rest. You and your siblings should talk with each other more."
Laura took a deep breath and showed a most friendly and cordial smile, "Angel..."
"Miss... Miss Angel? Oh my god! What... What did I see? How can it be Miss Angel?"
"Holy shit. It's indeed Miss Angel!"
Two exclaims interrupted Laura's words.
Aydin and Harvey stood in front of Angel in unison.
Aydin and Harvey were both the most favored grandsons in their respective families. And both of them
followed their grandfathers respectively.
However, as soon as they entered the banquet hall, they saw a familiar face among the crowd.
They couldn’t help but exclaim in surprise.
The two of them exclaimed a bit loudly, attracting the ones surrounding them to look over.
Ronan Barrett couldn’t help but reach out and slap his grandson, thinking to himself, “How come this
brat acts inappropriately in public?”
But Aydin surely couldn’t care about these. Harvey and Aydin eyed Angel up and down, observing her.
Alexia couldn't help but say, "What's wrong with these two naughty kids?"
But Angel just looked at them with a smile.
Although Angel was smiling gently and elegantly as usual, for some reason, everyone felt a compelling
aura emitting from her body as she stood in front of these two handsome boys.
Aydin touched his nose and called out gently. It seemed that if he talked more loudly or he blinked his
eyes, the one in front of him would disappear. So he called out carefully with unusual caution, "Miss
Angel?"
Angel felt amused and gently responded, "Good evening."
Aydin jumped backward with a big step in fright and pulled Harvey over.
"Harvey! She's indeed Miss Angel!"
Harvey stared at Angel with widened eyes.
Angel felt speechless.
Alexia, who was puzzled, asked Angel, "Do you guys know each other?"
Angel said lightly, "They're my students."
“What?”
The ones around couldn't help but be petrified.
It was clear that Harvey and Aydin looked like they were about the same age as Angel, or rather, they
looked a little older than Angel.
Originally, they thought that Angel should have attracted two playboys with her beauty.
How come now Harvey and Aydin were Angel’s Students?
However, Aydin and Harvey did call her "Miss Angel" just now!
Before anyone could question Angel, Ronan, Aydin's grandfather, who was walking behind Aydin,
stepped forward and asked Angel hesitantly, "Are you the assistant of Professor Jordan in University M,
Miss Angel?"
Angel was extremely well-behaved in front of the elders. So she nodded with a sweet smile, "Hello, I'm
Angel."
Alexia was surprised by the fact that Ronan was somewhat almost respectful to Angel. So she
introduced Angel in a hurry, "Angel, this is Ronan from Jiaheng Real Estate. Call him Grandpa Ronan
quickly!"
Angel bowed gently, "Good day, Grandpa Ronan!"
Ronan hurriedly reached out and helped her up ceremonially, "Hey, I don’t deserve this! I don’t deserve
this!"
He looked at Angel, "What a surprise! What a surprise! Miss Angel, do you know? Miss Angel, do you
know that this brat of ours, Aydin, is now reformed and rehabilitated because of you? And so is the brat
from the Cox family! Ralphie and I were thinking of going to University M one day to personally thank
Professor Jordan. But Miss Angel, I didn't expect that you would be the granddaughter of Mr. Clayton.
Ralphie, Ralphie! Come on, come on!"
After Harvey's grandfather, Ralphie Cox, knew Angel's identity, he was astonished as well. After that,
he was emotional.
Angel looked at the two students of hers who were standing aside with mixed feelings as she said to
the two elders, "You can just call me Angel. We aren’t at school. I am a junior in front of your guts.
Kindly don’t be polite to me."
Ronan and Ralphie were no longer calm, "She… She...Look at her! Alexia, your family is indeed so
good at educating children!"
Alexia was modest with honor.
Aydin muttered, "Grandpa, we're doing well now as well!"
Ronan glared at him, "That's because of Angel!"
He turned to Angel and said with a smile, "Angel, when these two boys are in your hands, you can beat
them up and scold them. If they don't do as you say, you can complain to us directly. We will discipline
them for you. And we will surely break their legs."
Angel smiled and glanced at the two students of hers whose faces were livid. And she said with a
smile, "Grandpa Ronan, Granpa Ralphie, both of them are quite proficient and professionally capable.
You can rest assured."
Ralphie was extremely satisfied, saying, "We rest assured. This time, we are relieved, Angel, if you
need anything in the future, just come to us!"
Thinking of Angel's identity all of a sudden, he became embarrassed again, saying, "Oh, I think your
grandfather, your aunt, and your brother are all responsive to your requests. So there is nothing we can
do to help you."
Alexia smiled and said in a lowered voice so that everyone could hear her words, "You can help me. Of
course, you can. Grandpa Ronan, Granpa Ralphie, this girl is quite naughty. We frequently punish her
by deducting allowance. When she gets punished next time and can’t afford to buy ant food, I will let
her go to you guys for dinner."
Hearing her words, everyone was stunned at first. Then they laughed.
Alexia's words instantly brought everyone close to each other, making Angel’s position of being a junior
clear again.
After all, they couldn’t let others compare the grandsons of the two families frequently. Even if they got
along with Angel, it was a social occasion anyway. In Alexia’s opinion, only by acting appropriately
could they get things done better in the future.
