Chapter 2
Chapter 2 36
I turned away from Sebastian immediately and without looking back, I dashed our of the room.
"Rita," Janice called out running after me, but I ignored her, got into my car and drove away with no destination in mind. I wanted to go somewhere far away. I needed to be alone in a place where no one knew me because I needed to clear my head. For the p past five years, I've been living my life just for Sebastian. Now that I and Sebastian are no longer together, I wondered how life was going to be
It was still hard to believe that Sebastian had been cheating on me. The fact that Taylor was hooking up with Seb despite knowing we were mates did not surprise me though.
She always wanted what was mine, even though unlike me, she had it all. She was taller, had the perfect body, face, hair and skin. We became step-sisters when we were both six and since then, I lost all my friends to her. I was not bad-looking myself, but Taylor could make anyone next to her look ugly
While her mom ignored me and poured all her love on Taylor, my father loved her as much as he loved me or even more. So. I never got the love of a mother growing up while Taylor got the love of both a father and mother.
!
I was still content, but somehow she was not. Growing up, I finally came to the conclusion that Taylor never wanted me to be happy. She enjoyed seeing me in pain,
I reached a boundary demarcating my pack from a nearby pack and without thinking twice, I drove past the boundary.
Werewolves from my pack visited this pack and vice versa, but a young she-wolf like me visiting another pack alone was risky. I could get rape from werewolves here who sense that I'm not a pack member and the rapists will go scot free, because the pack won't be willing to hurt a pack member because of an outsider and I was not important enough for my pack to get justice for me. I cared less.
Have you ever been at a point in life that nothing mattered any longer? Well, I could totally relate to that now because I was at that point in life. It was late in the night with no single soul on the road but I kept on driving into the pack before finally coming to a halt in front of a bar.

out of my car, walked straight to the counter and ordered a drink.
After getting my drink, I gulped it down at one go and ordered more until I finally got drunk. Werewolves were immune to alcohol, but after Sebastian rejected me, it seemed like Dakota had disappeared so I was as good as human "If you keep on drinking, you'd be an easy target for perverts." The voice.
Deep. Husky. Sultry.
I felt a tingling sensation in my abdomen and my heart fluttered. It made me doubt if I had just gotten rejected.

There was something about this man that felt familiar. I squinted, studying his face. There was something about his aura too. He was definitely not an ordinary person..
I have seen this face before." I thought to myself. I just could not remember where, how or when.ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
He leaned closer to me and his eyes searched mine. Somehow, felt he could see my pain.
"You should stop drinking.'
I laughed.
As I my heart squeezed in pain. "I know, right? These drinks are useless. They don't take the pain away. They only distract us from the pain"
He nodded and gulped down the content of the glass he was holding.
I frowned. "That's not fair. You asked me to stop drinking, but you're drinking. Aren't you drunk?"
Oh, right. My wolf was gone, but his was not.
"I am a a little drunk," he confessed, probably trying to play along with me. Werewolves who are not wolfless do not get drunk. "But, unlike you, I'm good at hiding it. Infact, I'm not. I can't get drunk. I'm only a little distracted and I need it." I nodded in agreement. He did not look drunk to me. "What do you need these bitter liquids to distract you from?"
His face fell
"I miss her.
"Who's she?" Who's she
"She's dead," he said dryly. "She died ten years ago, but I still miss her. I want to know why she left me. I thought forever was the deal
"Right?
And ten years? I'm alive, but my mate got bored of me in about five years. I caught him today with my step sister. Guess what he told me?"
"He said, 'why should I do that when there are hotter girls like your stepsister?" I laughed bitterly. "It's funny. This morning. I was daydreaming of us getting old together. I also thought forever was the deal, then boom I caught that son of a gun cheating on me. I leaned closer to him. My forehead touched his. "It is nightfall now and I want to be with someone else."
"You're drunk. When people get drunk, they do things that they'll regret when they get sober."
"Well, it seems like it sucks to be sober. I'll just keep on drinking so I'll never be sober."
"Very soon your

as you are now,"
"Is it the effect of the drinks or are you just too irresistible?" He whispered, his eyes dackening.
Damn! That rich baritone voice,
"I thought you said alcohol had no effect on you," I said, leaning closer with our lips almost touching. I took in his scent.
His scent was too powerful for an ordinary werewolf. At that moment, the rain of recognition poured on me.

I couldn't get the nephew, perhaps I could get the uncle.
Immediately. I smashed my lips against his.
