Rejected Luna Queen

Chapter 67

Nesta’s POV

I decided that enough was enough. Netta had been occupying my thoughts, and it was time to set things straight. If she was going to live here, she might as well be useful.

The mere thought of her had me hard, and I needed to address this situation head–on. I summoned her to my chamber one evening, determined to make things clear.

I waited. I paced the room, trying to calm the storm of conflicting emotions within me. Desire and frustration battled for dominance. When she finally arrived, I felt my heart rate spike.

“Nexta,” I said, my voice a controlled rumble, “we need to talk.

She looked at me with a mix of curiosity and wariness, standing just inside the door. She seems to be really afraid of me after everything and I don’t know if I’m thrilled at that or not.

“If you’re going to live here,” I continued, “you need to be useful. This is my kingdom, and everyone has a role to play.”

Her eyes narrowed slightly. “And what role do you have in mind for me?”

I took a step closer, unable to suppress the desire coursing through me. “You might as well become my mistress,” I said bluntly. “My thoughts are consumed by you, and my body responds only to you. If we’re going to deal with this, we might as well address it head–on.”

Her eyes widened in shock, and for a moment, I wondered if she would slap me or storm out. Instead, she stood her ground, her expression shifting from surprise to something more thoughtful.

“You want me to be your mistress?” she asked, her voice a whisper.

“Yes,” I said, my tone unwavering. “I can’t get you out of my head, and if we’re going to coexist, we might as well satisfy this need.”

She stepped closer, her eyes locked on mine. “And what about your other responsibilities? Your duties as a prince?”

I swallowed hard, my gaze never leaving hers. “They come first. Always. But this…this is something I can’t ignore.”

For a moment, we stood there in silence, the tension between us almost palpable. Then, she nodded slowly, a hint of defiance in her eyes.

“Fine. But understand this, Your Highness–I’m not here to be used. If this is going to happen, it will be on my terms too.”

I nodded, a mixture of relief and anticipation flooding through me. “Agreed.”

With that, the line between duty and desire blurred even further, setting the stage for a complicated, intense arrangement that neither of us could walk away from.

Nesta agreed to my proposition, a nagging feeling stirred within me. There was something in her acceptance that didn’t sit right.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

The glint in her eyes wasn’t kind; it was calculating, perhaps even defiant. This wasn’t merely submission or acquiescence; there was more to it than met the eye.

She had agreed too easily, too quickly. I watched her closely, trying to decipher her true intentions.

Was she planning something? Did she have an agenda of her own? The possibilities spun in my mind, each one more troubling than the last.

“Nesta,” I said, my voice-low and cautious, “I need you to understand that this is not a game. If you have now is the time to speak.”

any ulterior motives,

She smiled faintly, the kind of smile that didn’t reach her eyes. “No games, Nolan. I understand the terms perfectly.”

But I wasn’t convinced. There was a steeliness in her gaze, a fire that hadn’t been there before. This was a woman who had been through hell and survived, and now, she was standing before me with a quiet determination that was both intriguing and unsettling.

As she turned to leave, the unease gnawed at me. I couldn’t shake the feeling that this agreement was only the beginning of something far more complex and dangerous.

The question was, who would come out on top in this intricate dance of power and desire? And what would be the cost?

I had to stay vigilant. Nesta was no ordinary woman, and I couldn’t afford to underestimate her. Not now, not ever.

I jolted awake, heart pounding, the remnants of the dream still vivid in my mind. It was just a dream, a twisted, vivid fantasy where Nesta had agreed to my terms with that unsettling glint in her eyes.

But as the haze of sleep lifted, a grim determination settled over me.

Dream or not, the desire was real. I couldn’t deny the magnetic pull she had on me, the way my body reacted to just the thought of her. My resolve hardened.

Whether she wanted to or not, I was going to make her my mistress. This was more than mere lust; it was a matter of control, of staking my claim and ensuring she understood her place.

I swung my legs out of bed, the cool floor grounding me in reality. I couldn’t afford to be swayed by emotions or doubts. Nesta needed to know her role in my life, in this palace. She would become my mistress, willingly or by force.

The morning light filtered through the curtains, casting long shadows across the room. I took a deep breath, my mind racing with plans and strategies. Today would be the day I set things in motion. No more dreams, no more hesitation.

Nesta was mine to command, and I would make sure she understood that unmistakably.

I stepped into the shower, the rush of hot water cascading over my skin, waking me up fully and washing away of the dream.

the remnants

The steam rose around me, enveloping me in a cocoon of warmth. As I stood there, letting the water pound against my back, my mind focused on the task ahead.

Today was the day I would take control. No more distractions, no more wavering. The water soothed my tense muscles, and I felt my resolve solidify with each passing moment.

I reached for the soap, the scent of cedar and pine filling the air as I lathered up. The rich, masculine fragrance reminded me of my strength, my authority.

I rinsed off, feeling the last vestiges of doubt swirl down the drain. Wrapping a towel around my waist, I stepped out of the shower and faced the mirror.

My reflection stared back at me, eyes sharp with determination. This was not just about desire; it was about asserting my dominance, ensuring that Nesta knew her place.

As I dressed, choosing a crisp shirt and tailored pants, the fabric felt like armor against the day’s challenges. I adjusted my collar, the final touch in a carefully curated image of power and control.

Today, I was ready to conquer anything and anyone that stood in my way. And Nesta? She would understand exactly where she stood.

With a final glance in the mirror, I turned and walked out of the bathroom, ready to face the day and all it would bring.
