Chapter 80
Sabrina stuffed her hands into her coat pockets.
She was about to leave when Nelson grabbed her arm and pulled her into his embrace.
"Mrs. Tucker, we're only divorcing tomorrow, right?" Nelson asked.
She didn't respond but glared at him coldly.
He chuckled and hoisted her onto his shoulder.
Sabrina was furious.
She punched his back and tried to grab his ears, but he seemed unaffected as he carried her into the elevator.
Meanwhile, Pamela was dumbfounded that no one was going to help her.
…
Nelson tossed Sabrina into the back seat of his car, then climbed in and pinned her down.
Sabrina was slumped against the car seat but didn't struggle as usual.
Instead, she scooted back until her back was against the car door.
"Since we're still married, you can do what you want to me. Even though I think you're pretty disgusting, you look decent. I'll just pretend you're a gigolo I hired," Sabrina said.
Dylan was in the driver's seat and couldn't hold back a laugh when he heard this. Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.
Nelson was left speechless by her remarks.
He propped himself up, his face hardening as he stared at her.
After a long pause, he grabbed her chin. "Do you think you've got the upper hand now, and I can't do anything to you?"
"Are you going to do it or not? If not, get lost!" She pushed him away, revolted by the lingering scent of Pamela's perfume on him.
"You're disgusted by me?" he sneered.
Then, he looked down at the men's puffer jacket she was wearing. "Neither of us should despise the other."
He lifted her and grabbed her by the neck to force her into a kiss.
Whether she wanted it or not was never his concern.
For Sabrina, a kiss was the most intimate and beautiful act.
However, the one she's having now made her feel wretched.
It reminded her of that night at the Tucker residence when he was drugged and didn't kiss her.
It turned out that kissing someone she didn't like would bring tears to her eyes.
When Nelson pulled away from her lips, he breathed heavily as he stared at her.
Although Sabrina was in his arms and they were physically close to each other, the tears glistening in her eyes made her seem distant from him.
"Pamela and I are not what you think we are." He caressed her cheeks gently.
She didn't say a word.
She disliked such intimacy and moved away from him.
However, he firmly held her waist. His eyes filled with dominance.
She decided not to be sentimental about this and let him do what he pleased.
Nelson was frustrated by her disbelief. "I'm serious."
"I'll believe you if you make her face the consequences she deserves," Sabrina bluntly stated.
He pursed his lips, and his expression darkened.
Her hands fell on his shoulder, and she smiled at him. Her fingers lightly tracing his facial features like a playful fox.
Nelson swallowed hard.
She'd never looked at him with such allure before.
"Sabrina, why don't you come home with me?" He sat up straight, and their bodies pressed intimately together.
"Don't even think about it. We're getting divorced. There's no home for us. Even if there was, what have you ever given me?" she asked. "There's not even one thing that I can remember fondly."
There wasn't even one ordinary and happy moment between them as a couple.
Suddenly, Sabrina's phone rang.
She pulled it out of her pocket, glanced at the screen, and answered it. "Hello, Gerald."
While she was in the confined space of the car, Gerald asked if she was okay.
"I'm fine. Where are you? Have you been drinking?" Sabrina remained seated on Nelson, looking him in the eyes.
No matter how he humiliated her, it didn't matter anymore because she no longer cared.
"Wait for me there. Have the driver send your clients home, and I'll send you home." As she spoke, she climbed off Nelson.
He didn't stop her and merely watched in silence.
"Dylan, take me over there. My car is parked there." Sabrina instructed Dylan, grabbed her bag, and put on her coat.
Nelson didn't say a word and seemed to be lost in thought.
Dylan hesitated to drive.
He glanced back at Nelson. "Mr. Tucker…"
"From now on, we do as Mrs. Tucker says," Nelson replied.
Sabrina didn't seem to hear him as she leaned against the car window.
She was gazing at the winter night of Slitton. Lights flickered across Sabrina's face.
Her beauty still mesmerized Nelson.
Nelson pursed his lips and eventually looked away without saying or doing anything.
The car stopped in front of the club, and Sabrina got out with Gerald's jacket.
Nelson watched through the window as Sabrina returned the jacket to Gerald.
Gerald stood at the entrance and grinned broadly as he put it on.
Meanwhile, Sabrina stood under the streetlamp and watched him with a faint smile.
After Gerald put on his jacket, he looked down at her and opened his arms. "Come on, give your friend a hug."
Tears glistened in Sabrina's eyes when she heard this. Her husband had never even thought to hug her or comfort her when she was upset.
"I'm kidding." He awkwardly laughed, feeling bad for putting her in such a difficult situation.
She walked up to him and gently hugged him.
Then, she couldn't help but sob.
Gerald knew that her tears meant that she quarreled with Nelson and had endured much frustration.
He didn't ask any questions and patted her back gently to comfort her.
When Nelson saw this, he frowned deeply, and his gaze darkened.
Dylan glanced back at him.
"Maybe you should divorce Mrs. Tucker. If she could, she wouldn't want to be like this. Since no one was there to love her and protect her, she had to plan and handle everything herself," he said.
Nelson felt a sudden pain in his chest.
He had always remembered her as strong and independent but had forgotten that she was only 26.
He understood Dylan's point.
It wasn't that he couldn't give her such a hug, but he had never thought she was important enough to deserve it.
