Finishing her sentence, Kinsey left, leaving only the sound of her high heels click-clacking. She got in

the car and started the engine. In the rearview mirror, she saw Joanne remaining still in place and

your property to others without my permission?"

reasoned with Edric.

"That won't work either. If that woman, Irene, does something and steals your shares, what will you

"I don't know whether Irene will play tricks on me or not, but I know why you are so agitated. Don't

worry, as I won't touch your shares," Edric sneered.

"Are you kidding me? I'm not doing this for the property. Isn't all my property yours anyway?" Margaret

got mad at his words.

"I wouldn't dare to take your property. If I could, I would rather be born into another family. At least I

wouldn't feel the pain of being tricked by my own mother."

"What did I do to you?" Margaret was getting a little guilty. What did Edric mean? Did he know

something? Thinking that Lily wouldn't be so stupid as to tell her son the truth about the pregnancy at

"This has nothing to do with Lily. It's all my scheming." Margaret put in a good word for Lily. "Lily doesn't

want to do this either. It's me who begged her." Margaret cried out.

"A lie can only last for so long, but it can't deceive everyone forever. I know what kind of person Lily,

clearer than you. I advise you to open your eyes. You'll regret it if you don't," Edric claimed.

She's pregnant with your child." Margaret begged.

Only once he had calmed down would she then bring it up once more.

Lily was not staying idle either. After hearing Joanne say that she would reveal the news to Irene, she

had been waiting for Irene and Edric to argue. However, there was no sign of someone coming at all,

and Irene's life seemed to go on as usual.

On the other side, Joanne had gone back to Mencodia. Steven had warned Lily to not to go out if it was

not necessary. He also notified her that Edric might hurt her and stop her pregnancy.

Lily didn't expect that Edric's reaction would be so strong, so she had to turn her sights towards

Margaret for help. Unexpectedly, Margaret called her at that time and informed her to be careful, which

was the same as Steven's advice.

and called her. Irene realized that the woman was Lily.

Irene glared at Lily, "Miss Cook, why are you blocking my way?"

"I have something to discuss with you. Let's go somewhere private to talk." Lily said furtively.

"I don't have the time," Irene immediately rejected Lily's suggestion.

"Irene, I'm pregnant! Please help me! I'm really at my wits' end!" Lily pleaded in a quiet voice.

Irene looked at Lily's expression and felt only disgust, "What does you being pregnant have to do with

me? Miss Cook must've gotten the wrong person."

"I know you hate me intensely, but that time I really was framed by Rowane. That woman was too

vicious. I had planned to go to the hospital to stop the pregnancy, but the doctor had said something

was wrong with my body. If I did it, I would never have another child in my life," Lily handed Irene a

report. "Look, this is the proof from the doctor's."

Irene did not take it. Instead, she just looked at her coldly, "What does this have to do with me? I'm not

the one who is stopping your pregnancy."

"But Edric won't allow me to keep this child. Irene, could you help persuade Edric?" Lily wiped her

tears. "It's not just a single baby in my belly. They're twins. They are Edric's children. Isn't Eden sick?

Maybe there will be a time when they would be useful in the future."

"I'm amazed that Miss Cook is so kind. But I will take care of my own child's illness by myself. You, as

an outsider, don't need to worry about it."

"Irene, I beg you. Please let me give birth to my children. Don't worry. I will be far away from you and

Edric. What you are worried about will never happen!" Lily knelt in front of Irene.
