Chapter 639 Sophia, Carry Me
Chapter 639 Sophia, Carry Me
Chapter 639 Sophia, Carry Me
The car was parked not far from the exit of the station. Sophia had no problem carrying the old Mrs.
Lawson over.
Bonnie, who had been standing there, felt annoyed. She muttered in a low voice, "This old lady is so
annoying!"
Coincidentally, the old Mrs. Lawson heard her.
The old Mrs. Lawson patted Sophia, "Sophia, stop!"
Sophia stopped.
When the old Mrs. Lawson looked at Bonnie, Bonnie trembled. Yet then she thought she was right, and
therefore got some courage to face the old Mrs. Lawson head-on.
"Come here!"
Bonnie was about to walk over, but Drake stopped her.
The old Mrs. Lawson said angrily, "Drake, Sophia doesn't know to teach her child. I will help."
Drake couldn't put up with this damn old lady anymore. No matter what reasons made Sophia behave
like that, he wouldn't allow their daughter to be treated like that.
"I don't think Sophia is bad at parenting!"
"Isn't she? The girl had just said something disrespectful to me. Is it normal?"
"She was just telling the truth."
Drake stood with his daughter firmly.
"Okay, then let's ask your mother. I believe she is smart enough to conclude."
The old Mrs. Lawson looked at Emma, "Emma, tell me, do you find your granddaughter's behavior
acceptable?"
Emma said lightly, "The old Mrs. Lawson, you were questioning Sophia's upbringing, but you should
know that the Lawson family didn't interfere much in it. She is educated by me. So are you questioning
me actually?"
The old Mrs. Lawson's face darkened.
She didn't like Emma, but Emma was well-respected.
Besides, Emma had been kind to everyone, yet for Sophia, Emma argued with her.
"Young people should respect old people indeed. But it would be another story if the old don't behave
themselves."
Hearing these words, Sophia felt warm. Since she married into the Riley family, she felt like having two
mothers. The feeling of being protected was great.
The old Mrs. Lawson looked at these people, "I see. You guys are threatening me together, right?"
"Sophia, you are amazing. It seems that I really need to teach you a lesson this time."
As she said that, the old Mrs. Lawson slapped Sophia on the head.
Everyone took a step forward. If it wasn't the old Mrs. Lawson, they would have taken action long ago.
Cathy had enough fun watching the drama. She came to them with a bouquet of flowers at this time.
"Grandma, I'm sorry. Sophia doesn't allow Drake to let me use the car. So I had to take a taxi. The
traffic jam was terrible on the road. I thought I was going to be late. Grandma, look, your favorite
flowers."
After speaking, Cathy handed over the flowers.
The old Mrs. Lawson smiled in an instant. She took the flowers, sniffed them, and said happily, "Thank
you, my oldest granddaughter. Although you are late, it's okay."
By calling Cathy "oldest granddaughter", the old Mrs. Lawson meant that Sophia wasn't her
granddaughter. Upon hearing so, everyone was pissed off.
And everyone could see that the reason why the old Mrs. Lawson stopped was to make Sophia carry
her for a long time so as to make Sophia exhausted.
Cathy quickly said hypocritically, "Grandma, how can you make Sophia carry you? She is the apple of
everyone's eye in the family. Let me carry you."
The old Mrs. Lawson snorted, "Is she? Then let's see how delicate her body is. No one is going to carry
me but her."
"Grandmother!"
Cathy pretended to blame her.
But the old Mrs. Lawson said, "Okay, I can't bear to let you carry me. I will feel sad if you are tired."
Sophia said, "Grandma, aren't you tired? Let's go home." Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
The old Mrs. Lawson said with a straight face, "I was tired, but after seeing my eldest granddaughter, I
am refreshed."
"Alright, then should I leave you guys alone?" With that said, Sophia was about to put her down.
"Sophia, how dare you!"
Sophia said weakly, "Yea, I dare not, but Grandma, I just want to know. Are you leaving or not?"
Cathy mocked, "Grandma, don't argue with Sophia. People may think you are a bad person."
The old Mrs. Lawson was very happy, "You are right, Cathy, I should listen to you, Sophia, let's go!"
She didn't treat Sophia as a human being, but as a beast, who should obey whatever she said.
Drake didn't know what was going on in Sophia's head. He wished he could stop Sophia but he
controlled himself.
Along the way, the old Mrs. Lawson kept finding faults with Sophia.
Sophia finally carried her to the car. Drake, Sophia's older brothers and parents all asked her with
concern.
"Sophia, how are you doing, are you tired?"
Before Sophia replied, the old Mrs. Lawson snorted, "It's her honor to carry me, and she will have more
opportunities to carry me in the future. If she is tired now, she should work out more."
"Mom, you!" Abbott was pissed off. He couldn't bear seeing her daughter suffer.
"Shut up! If you had educated your daughter well, why would I do this now?
Abbott wanted to speak but was stopped by Sophia.
No one knew what Sophia was thinking, so they all got into the car.
Cathy and her parents, as well as the old Mrs. Lawson, were in one car. Sophia, Drake and Bonnie
were in another car.
Sophia was typing something on her phone. Drake felt exasperated when he thought of how the old
Mrs. Lawson had bullied Sophia in front of him just now.
"Sophia, I allowed her to push so far because of your request. Yet you should know how important you
are to me. I can't stand it anymore. If she continues to be so harsh on you, I won't spare her."
Drake would treat the old Mrs. Lawson nicely if she treated Sophia well. If not, Drake would not show
any mercy.
