Chapter 691 Cathy Set Travis Up
Sophia had been looking for a chance to speak and glanced at Travis and Helena.
Laura had also noticed it, "You got something to tell me?"
Sophia took over the baby, "Mom, before we tell you, we have to make sure you can take it."
"Oh? You even took the baby away! You think I'm gonna make a fuss?" Laura smiled.
"It's hard to tell. It's something big!"
Laura was very curious. So was Abbott. But they didn't see Cathy coming over with Mr. Knight and
overhearing their conversation.
Mr. Knight followed her eyesight, and asked, "You know them?"
"No." Cathy was about to leave but stopped abruptly when she heard the familiar voice.
"What?" Laura heard Travis' words and was too excited beyond words, "Helena is pregnant? And she's
carrying twins?"
Cathy frowned. The third generation of the Lawson family was on the way! Though Sophia's daughter
Bonnie had the family name "Lawson", she was still the child of the Riley family. But things were
different in Helena, who was carrying the real heirs of the Lawson family.
Her parents got a divorce because they didn't have a son. She couldn't stand it when Abbott and his
family had it all.
Laura looked at Abbott, "Did you hear it? Helena is pregnant. We're having grandchildren!"
Bang! Abbott passed out of excitement while Laura was over the moon.
"Dad! Dad! Wake up! Are you OK?" they cried.
Fortunately, Abbott was fine. He woke up and said in happy tears, "Helena is carrying twins. What a
happy surprise! Thank God! God blesses the Lawson family! We'll go see your grandma later. She
must be very happy to hear the good news!"
Cathy disdained them and swore she wouldn't let them have it their way!
They had also told Emma and Baron the great news. Even Aria had heard about it. But they just kept it
between the relatives and close friends since Helena was still in early pregnancy.
Not long later, Cathy came to them with a glass of wine.
"Travis and Helena, congratulations! I heard the good news!"
Travis stepped forward to protect Helena, "Thanks. But please stay away from my wife."
"Don't be so mean, Travis. I've always got on well with Helena. You're carrying on the family line of the
Lawson family, and I'm also part of the family. I just wanna say congratulations. What's the problem
with it? " said Cathy unhappily.
"You know better than anyone!" said Travis harshly.
"Travis, I know we're only cousins, but both you and I are Lawsons. Why are you so mean to me?"
Cathy acted to be wronged.
"I'm sure you know why." warned Travis.
Out of a blue, Cathy burst into tears. It was supposed to be a big happy day, but Cathy's cry had caught
quite a lot of attention. Sophia was hanging with Drake and the others, while Travis had accompanied
Helena to rest in the corner. Soon afterwards, they heard the cry.
Sophia went up to Cathy, "What do you want this time?"
"Sophia, I don't want anything. Travis bullied me. I couldn't help but cry." said Cathy in tears.
Travis stared at Cathy, while Helena just exploded, "You've gone too far, Cathy! Travis didn't bully you!
Don't defame him!"
"Helena, Travis is your husband. I can understand you're defending him. But why would I cry if he
hadn't bullied me?"
Cathy turned to Abbott and Laura, "Uncle Abbott. Aunt Laura. I know my parents are divorced, and I'm
a poor girl who isn't favored and cared in the Lawson family. But Travis has bullied me in front of
everyone. It has disgraced the Lawson family!"
Travis looked like shit. Clearly, he hadn't expected that Cathy would embarrass him in public.
Helena got mad in a second, "Cathy! Stop talking nonsense! You know what you've done!"
Cathy looked more wronged, "See? Even Helena is walking over me. Oh god! I've been kicked out of
the Lawson family, right?" She said and burst into tears again. She had made a scene of it.
Sophia look desperately mad, wondering why shit happened in each party, and why they couldn't enjoy
it for one time! While the guests were gossiping and while Laura and Abbott were thinking of what to do
with Cathy, Sophia seized her by the wrist abruptly and began to drag her out.
"What the hell are you doing? Let go of me! You all want to walk over me, don't you? Damn it! Let go of
me!" shouted Cathy in rage.
"Good job, Cathy! But you wouldn't be able to speak if we've really bullied you!" Sophia taunted.
"But you are barking like a mad dog. People here are clever to tell you're acting a play."
"I've had enough of it. Get out of here. You're humiliating the Lawson family!"
The crowd agreed with Sophia. Indeed, they weren't idiots, and they could tell Cathy was putting on a Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
show!
Cathy noticed it and got red in the face, "No. It isn't true. Please don't listen to her. She..."
Mrs. Watts stepped out first, "Oh? You're Miss Cathy Lawson? I never met you before but you've
impressed me today. We've known Miss Sophia Lawson for five years, and we know what kind of
person she is! But you... Jeez! You're so disgraceful!"
Other ladies stood out one after another, "That's right. I always think the Lawsons are nice and decent.
Clearly, you've disgraced the family. I bet you're jealous of your cousin!"
Cathy couldn't fight back. She just stepped backward and pointed at Sophia in rage, "Sophia, let's wait
and see! You'll be so sorry for it!" Then she left the party.
Sophia nodded her head at the ladies, "Thanks, ladies!"
"Not at all. I never forget how you've helped me out of trouble!" said Mrs. Watts with a smile.
