Richest Mogul 1010
Skylar and Joe rested for a day to adjust to the time difference after returning to Jipsburg.
The next day, they each went about their business. Skylar bought some souvenirs as gifts for her colleagues.
She then went to meet with Alexander. When Alexander saw Skylar, he looked somewhat apologetic. “I’m sorry for interrupting your honeymoon with Joe, but this is something only you can handle.”
“We were actually planning to return within the next few days anyway, so it’s not a big deal. Mr. Gardner Senior, just let me know what the issue is, and I’ll see if I can help,” Skylar replied.
Alexander nodded. “Only you can take care of this. It’s regarding your Grandma Viola.”
“Grandma Viola?” Skylar echoed.
“Didn’t she mention she would be coming back soon?” Alexander continued. NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.
Skylar nodded and looked at Alexander with growing concern. “Has there been any news about Grandma Viola?”
“A few days ago, we received another letter delivered directly to my home. I’didn’t want to alarm anyone, so I waited for you to return,” Alexander said, his expression grave.
He went to his desk and retrieved an envelope from a drawer.
He took the letter from the envelope and said, “You should read this and see for yourself.”
Skylar took the letter from Alexander’s hand and read it carefully. The letter was indeed written in Viola’s hand.
Seeing Viola’s handwriting, Skylar’s expression mirrored Alexander’s seriousness. She struggled to believe what she was reading. “Why is Grandma Viola telling me to ignore these negative items now?”
Alexander shook his head. “I can’t figure out why your Grandma Viola would give you such instructions She even mentioned that dealing with these negative items would lead you back into a nightmare.
“What does that nightmare mean? Skye, take another look at this letter. Could it be that someone is mimicking Viola’s handwriting?”
He hadn’t wanted to alarm anyone, so he hadn’t had the handwriting analyzed.
However, after comparing the previous letter with this one over the past few days, he found no differences. They were identical.
Skylar frowned tightly. “I can confirm that this is Grandma Viola’s genuine handwriting. Of course, someone could be imitating it. But for someone to mimic her writing this well, they’d have to know her handwriting extremely well.
“Grandma Viola’s writing style has changed over the years. It’s different‘ from how it was 30 years ago. There’s no way anyone could perfectly replicate it now.”
Her hand holding the letter grew cold, and her palm started to sweat. Skylar wondered if Viola was referring to her past life when she mentioned the nightmare.
She wondered if “lead you back into the nightmare” meant she would return to her previous life and that this lifetime would turn out to be an illusion.
An overwhelming sense of fear that she had never experienced before suddenly engulfed her. Alexander sighed heavily, not noticing the pallor that had taken over Skylar’s face.
He reached into the envelope once more and pulled out a second letter.
He said,
This is the letter I received two days ago, also from your Grandma Viola. I’ve been hesitating to give it to you, but now that you’re sure it’s really from her, I can’t keep it from you any longer.”
Ever since receiving the two letters back–to–back, Alexander hadn’t been able to sleep properly. He kept pondering what Viola was trying to do.
He couldn’t figure out what her intentions were. Skylar took the letter from him, her already pale face now ghostly white.
When she saw the words on the letter, the last traces of color drained completely from her face.
