Richest Mogul 974

As Skylar entered the hotel, she happened to make eye contact with Vera, who was looking down at the street.

In a red spaghetti–strap gown with long, wavy hair, Vera exuded a captivating charm. Her beauty looked almost surreal under the night sky.

As she glanced toward the roadside, there seemed to be a hint of confusion in her eyes.

When Vera’s gaze met Skylar’s, it was clear she was surprised. Skylar quickly looked away, but Vera continued to stare at Skylar and Joe.

Joe escorted Skylar into the hotel after they got out of the car. His gentle, protective demeanor sparked a pang of jealousy in her heart.

“Skylar really knows how to act!” Vera thought bitterly. Despite seeing her and knowing that Skylar had seen her Instagram posts, Skylar managed to appear as though she hadn’t noticed anything.

She behaved intimately with Joe right before her, which was infuriating.

Vera had just called Joe, only to have him refuse to meet her. Through some cunning method of charming him, Skylar had managed to secure a favorable position that unexpectedly left Vera, who should have been proactive, in a surprisingly passive role.

Thankfully, Vera had prepared for this, but Joe’s refusal still caught her off guard. Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

She had made her Instagram posts visible only to Joe and Skylar, keeping it private from others. She wanted to maintain some dignity and avoid letting people see how she had lowered herself for Joe.

Additionally, she didn’t want others to think she was inferior to Skylar.

After Joe and Skylar entered their suite, Skylar put her things down and went to take a shower.

Despite initially feeling sleepy, Skylar found herself wide awake once she was

in the shower. However, her mind kept drifting back to the image of Vera looking down at her.

Vera had approached Joe so boldly.

After finishing her shower, Skylar emerge to find Joe on the phone.

Since he had picked her up, Joe had been quite busy. When Joe glanced at her, his gaze lingered momentarily, showing a hint of deep thought.

Skylar quickly dried her hair with the hair dryer, leaving it slightly damp. After glancing at Joe, she went to the mirror to fix her hair.

Lost in thought, she became somewhat distracted.

She didn’t notice when Joe came up behind her. He carried a towel and gently began drying her hair.

“Why didn’t you dry your hair completely?” he asked.

“I heard that drying it fully might not be good for the scalp and could cause hair loss,” she replied.

Joe saw that Skylar’s hair was dark and silky, and he seemed reluctant to stop as he enjoyed helping her dry it. “Let me help you dry your hair,” he said.

Feeling a bit tired after the shower, Skylar didn’t refuse and let Joe continue. Moreover, his touch was gentle and just right, making her feel quite

comfortable and content.

“What were you thinking about earlier?” Joe suddenly asked.

Skylar smiled and replied, “Nothing much, just a bit tired. Are we still taking wedding photos tomorrow?”

“Don’t you want to take the photos?” Joe asked. His hands paused, and his tone was cold.

“No, it’s fine,” Skylar replied.

Joe’s tone softened. “We’re scheduled for the shoot at 2:00 pm tomorrow. Get some rest in the morning and be ready for makeup.”

Skylar nodded, realizing she had been overthinking. She decided to trust Joe.

The two lay in bed that night, holding each other but doing nothing more. It took them a while to fall asleep.

Though they didn’t speak, both felt the other’s preoccupation.

After what felt like a long time, Skylar drifted into a light sleep. Joe quietly withdrew his hand and then carefully got out of bed.

Skylar immediately woke up but stayed still.

A few minutes later, Joe dressed and left the room.

eves.

As the door clicked shut, Skylar opened her eyes. All the sleepiness she had felt before vanished in that moment.
