Could it be related to the unclear patterns on the ring? Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

“Mom, ask the customer to send a few more pictures. The ones they sent weren’t very clear.”

Janine immediately sent over a few more pictures. “The customer already sent several photos from the start. I’ll forward all of them to you.”

Skylar carefully examined each one. Gradually, the faint patterns on the ring became clearer in her mind. However, there was still no historical connection to thing.

Could this ring never make it to the market after being crafte Was it only discovered now? And perhaps it wasn’t as unusual as she initially thought?

Still feeling uncertain, she reviewed the pictures again, but the strange feeling only grew stronger. There was definitely something off about this ring.

“Mom, have the customer request for a refund. We can’t authenticate this.”

Janine didn’t ask why, knowing that if Skylar refused, there was a good reason for it. “Okay.”

Though the customer was refunded, Skylar still kept the pictures.

Perhaps she wasn’t able to focus properly due to lack of rest. So, she decided to revisit the photos in a few days with a clearer mind.

Glancing at the time, it was already past 8:00 pm. She felt tired, likely from not getting enough sleep the night before. So she turned off the lights and went to bed.

In her half–awake state, Skylar’s phone, placed by her pillow, began vibrating, waking her up. She answered the call without checking who was calling.

“Mrs. Martin, Mr. Martin is sick! He has a fever. The flu in Fachington has been severe lately, and many people are getting sick. I can’t take care of him alone. Can you come back to take care of him? I tried giving him medicine, but he won’t listen to me!”

Paul sounded helpless over the phone.

Skylar, still groggy, quickly snapped awake upon hearing this. She looked at the time and noticed it was just after 9:00 pm. So, she had only been asleep for less than an hour, which explained why she still felt exhausted.

“Is something wrong? I’m not feverish anymore, and I have medicine. I have colleagues staging on the same floor, so don’t worry about me,” Natalie suddenly said, having been roused by the phone’s vibration.

Natalie turned on the bedside lamp, her eyes still half–closed. Then, she yawned and added, “Just be careful.”

Skylar responded with a simple “Okay,” addressing both Natalie and Paul.

“I’ll send someone to pick you up!” Paul was relieved. It felt like he had found a savior.

An hour later, at around 10:00 pm, Skylar returned to her hotel, where Paul was waiting for her outside.

When he saw her, he hurried over and explained, “Mr. Martin’s recent injury had weakened his body. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have caught the flu so easily. Dr. Grey didn’t come along this time. Plus, Mr. Martin hates hospitals and refuses to take medicine.

“I’m at my wit’s end. So, I had to call you.”

Whenever Paul ran into issues he couldn’t handle, he would call Skylar. Then, she would always have a way to overcome Joe’s little quirks.

So, Paul had full confidence in her.

“Why didn’t you call Ms. Ruell? He’ll probably listen to her,” Skylar asked.
