Chapter 9
Chapter Nine Both of you?
Tillie
“Strange, like what kind of strange?” Charity asked.
“Like two men talking about their mates to me today and one calling me his. That kind of strange.” I
said, looking up at my best friend. She swallowed hard before looking at the bathroom door.
*Tillie, is this because of what happened with Jake?” She asked, turning away from me to look into the
mirror. She fluffed up her hair, but I could see in her eyes that she was holding something back from
me. “I wouldn’t read into that too much.’
“No, you know that we weren’t in love. I cared about him, sure, but it was never love.”
“So, is it something about the drummer that was talking to you?” She asked and I looked down at the
floor again, feeling frustrated with her. “Or that hottie bartender making eyes at you?”
“No, well, kind of. When they touch me it’s like, it’s like playing with fire.” I said, leaning back against
the sink. “That’s not right. It’s like I don’t know sparklers and how I imagine they would feel without
burning me.”
“Like it sets your whole body aflame?” Charity asked, trying to clean her smeared lipstick off. She
wasn’t paying attention to her lipstick, but she was watching me in the mirror.
“Yeah.’ I nodded, shifting from foot to foot.
“Why don’t you see where the night takes you?” She asked. “You never cut loose and, well, I have a
feeling they would take good care of you.”
“Char, 1. I can’t do that. I’ve never had a threesome. Besides, they might not want that.” I said, feeling
my cheeks flush at the thought of being with Ryan and Travis. I took a sip of my drink, thinking about
what Travis had said.
I bet you’re sweet and tart, that you taste like cherries.
“Don’t be silly. You look good. There is a first for everything. This might be just what you need, let go.
Have some fun.’ Charity moved closer to me, spinning me around so that I was facing the mirror.
“What’s the worst that could happen?
‘I mean, I could give you a list…” I said, picking the cherry out of my drink and pulling it off the stem
with my teeth. “Maybe you’re right, but what if-“
* “No, what ifs. No worries for one night.’ She said, cutting me off. “Go out there and have fun.
Tomorrow we can
meet up and drink coffee and you can tell me all about it.”
‘You won’t think less of me?” I asked, worrying my lower lip as I looked at her in the mirror.
‘I could never think less of you, Tillie. You’re my person.” She wrapped her arms around my shoulder,
pressing a kiss against my cheek. “Now go do nasty, dirty things with those sexy guys. I want to hear
all about it.”
“Charity. I chided, bringing my hand up to squeeze her forearm. “I love you too.”
“Good, now there is a very fuckable guy out there waiting for me to rock his world.” She unwrapped her
arms from around me, her hand moving down my arm to hook our arms together. “I’ll totally give you all Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
the details of the dirty things that I’m going to let him do to me.”
“Charity.’ | chided again.
“I’m just saying it’ll be fun.”
I let her pull me out of the bathroom. A part of me wished that I could have the confidence she had. It
would be so much easier to give in to what I wanted rather than over thinking it. She was right, though.
It was a chance that I didn’t know if I would ever get again and I wanted to know what it was like to be
with both of them. That was if they wanted to be with me. They could have found someone else while I
was having my mini freak out in the bathroom.
My heart ached at the thought and I hoped that they hadn’t. I didn’t know why the thought made my
heart drop.
“I’ll see you later. Call me if you need anything.” Charity shouted over the music and I nodded at her.
Watching her slink through the crowded dance floor and wrap herself around Aaron. His lips spread
into a slow smile and he danced over to her. Charity moved with him and I let out a sigh. She needed
some fun. School had been demanding for her, but I knew that being a doctor was what she had
always wanted to do.
Finishing off my drink, I tried to let it soothe my nerves as I made my way back to the bar.
Ryan had moved to sit on one of the bar stools that sat in front of the bar. He and Travis seemed like
they were deep in discussing something. Travis held out his hand and Ryan grasped it. A look passed
between the two of them and I wished I was closer so that I could know what they were saying to each
other.
I sucked in a deep breath. There was only one way to figure this out. Closing my eyes, I tried to
summon up a little bit of courage to do what I wanted. Consequences be damned. I wanted them and I
was going to follow through with it. Just for tonight, tomorrow I could go back to normal.
Opening my eyes, I walked over to the bar. Setting my glass back onto the shiny counter top. “Can I get
another one?
Travis’ lips twitched into a smile, his eyes flicked to my lips before they moved slowly up to meet my
eyes. “Sure, sweets.”
Travis turned away from me, moving to fix me another drink as Ryan swiveled around on the bar stool
to face me. His legs were spread apart, I swallowed hard before stepping between his legs and resting
my hand on his chest.
“Would you like to dance?” I looked at Ryan. My heart was beating faster and I looked over at Travis.
“Both of you?”
