Sextuplets From Ruthless Love

Chapter 106

She could not believe her life was saved by her own son.

"That's right, I'm so glad that you're awake. I'm going to tell Mr. Gulliford," Monica said before she left the room. Jessica let out a sigh as she watched Monica leave the room.

Throughout the years, she was greatly indebted to Monica.

Jessica would have taken Monica away as well if it weren't for her fear of Trevor discovering her true identity. "What time is it now?" she wondered to herself.

At the thought of that, Jessica sat up abruptly. She could feel the throbbing pain from the wound around her waist. "Hiss..."

She inhaled sharply due to the pain, and subconsciously covered her abdomen with both

hands.

"Don't move," Trevor exclaimed gently as he entered the room. His eyes were filled with concern.

"Thank you for saving my life, Mr. Gulliford," Jessica said gently as she leaned against the headboard once again.

"There's no need to say thank you between us. We have a long way ahead of us. It's my fault that I am unable to protect you well since you are my woman." Seeing Jessica's pale and weak face, Trevor was overwhelmed by pity for her and suddenly grabbed her slender fingers.

"Please let go of me, Mr. Gulliford."

Jessica quickly retracted her hands. "What does this man want from me? Saving my life doesn't mean that I belong to him!" she scoffed inwardly.

"I'm sorry. I was just feeling guilty about what happened."

Trevor, too, withdrew his hands quickly. He could not afford to frighten the precious person in front of him now.

"This isn't your fault," Jessica replied gently. She felt helpless toward his words.

"What's wrong with him? Isn't Trevor too overflowing with sympathy right now? Or perhaps, he doesn't know who I really am? This can't be! If he knew that I'm Jessica Jackson, he would've sought revenge against me!" Jessica pondered. She had no idea what that man was actually plotting to do with her.

"You can rest here at the Gulliford residence for a while. Don't worry, it's very safe here."

Trevor's words were full of tenderness, and his gleaming eyes were filled with gentleness and warmth.

Even Monica, who stood by the door was in disbelief. She had been serving in the Gulliford residence for three years, and yet she had never seen Trevor being so gentle toward anyone at all. There were countless women who excelled in every aspect, as well as having perfect body figures and appearance, and yet Trevor had never paid attention to any of them.

"The lady in front of him is nothing special, so why is he paying so much attention to her?" Monica wondered.Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

"Mr. Gulliford, my husband is still in the hospital. Can

I just leave right now, and..."

Before Jessica could finish her sentence, the man in front of her merely huffed impatiently, "Just let him die." "What?"

Jessica frowned slightly as she looked at him with a puzzled expression.

Trevor lifted his head, and his gaze met with hers. Only then did he realize that he had acted too rashly.

Thus, Trevor hurriedly explained,

"N-No, what mean is that he

shouldn't have any issues at all. If you're still feeling worried, you could tell me which hospital he's at, and I'll send some men to check on him."

His long, slender fingers drummed impatiently against the side of the bed. "Come on, just tell me. Tell me where he is, so I can have my men take his life!" Trevor muttered to himself.

He had sent men to look for the man for a long time, but he was unable to locate Jessica's rumored husband.

Nevertheless, he was bound to fail in his search, since Jessica's rumored husband didn't exist.

"It's okay. There's no need for such trouble, Mr.

Gulliford."

"How can you say that? You're mine. And your husband is me..." Trevor stopped mid-sentence before he continued, "I-I mean, your husband is also a part of my family, too." "Family, my ass! I'm going to kill him instead!" Trevor scoffed inwardly.

Jessica frowned. "Since when did Trevor become such a kind-hearted and helpful person? This doesn't seem like the man I've known before."

"Mr. Gulliford, even though I'm working in your company, you shouldn't talk about me being yours. If anyone hears about it, I'm afraid it will lead to misunderstandings." "Why would they? What sort of misunderstanding? I mean what I said."
