Sextuplets From Ruthless Love

Chapter 84

He retreated to where Jessica was unable to see him before taking a deep breath. He knew that if Jessica saw him like this, it would make her suspicious.

Jessica took long puffs from her cigarette. Her dry eyes refused to shed any tears.

Her ears and legs had recovered, but the doctors were unable to heal her tear ducts.

They only said that it would be a long process and that whether they recovered would depend on Jessica's health.

However, Jessica had long accepted that she was unable to cry. "Perhaps God blocked my means of expressing sadness to tell me that my tears should only flow within my heart," she thought. Cough! Cough! Cough!

Having choked on a puff of smoke, Jessica violently coughed.

The scene was too much for Trevor to bear. He walked

forward swiftly and snatched the cigarette out of her hands before patting her back gently. "Are you okay?"

Jessica turned to him and quickly stood up, offering him a smile. "What brings you here? Aren't you singing?"

"I got tired from singing, so I came to get myself a drink."

"Oh, go on then, and get your drink. Unless you have something that you need?"

"Indeed, I do." Trevor quickly jumped at the offer, fearing Jessica would push him away.

"What is it?" Jessica questioned, confused.

"Well..." Trevor trailed off. The truth was, he did not have any requests.

He fumbled to come up with an answer.

"Um... Bring that important object to my room later.

You know what I mean." Trevor gave her a subtle look and quickly left the room.

Truthfully, Trevor did not have an "important object" that he needed. It was merely a ruse.

He decided that he would go along with whatever object Jessica brought to his room later.

Jessica was about to ask him what he meant, but Trevor had already left.

"An important object... What object?" Jessica shook her head confusedly, then thought of the subtle look he gave her.

"He would've said it outright if it was just any object. Unless it's... Well, I don't want to believe it, but it must be what I'm thinking of."

In his room, Trevor sat on the couch with an open book in his hands, but he was unable to absorb any information from it.

"What do I say when she comes

here? How do I get her to stay longer without being weird? Will I sound like a pervert if I ask her to stay and discuss work? Man, this is too hard." Trevor's mind was restless.

Clack.

The door opened. Trevor kept his head still and refrained from looking back in hopes of seeming nonchalant.

"Mr. Gulliford, I brought you the stuff." Jessica said with a smile, hertone brimming with respect.

"All right. Come in, please." Trevor replied coolly. At first glance, his eyes were glued to the book as if he was engrossed in it, but in reality, he was too nervous to look up. Jessica had already left the room and shut the door. However, another person entered the room upon hearing Trevor's words.

"Let's talk about work for a bit. If you

think it's too warm in here, feel free to remove some layers." Trevor spoke again. His heartbeat became erraticas the footsteps echoing through the room reached his ears.

QUMS

"Alright, Mr. Gulliford." A man's voice rang out in the room, shocking Trevor, who quickly whipped his head around.

It was the handsome young man who was in the hall earlier.

"What does Jessica mean by this? What is she implying by sending this man into my room? Does she think that... I want men?" Trevor thought furiously. Cough! Cough!

Coughing, Trevor trembled with

ét

anger as he held his slender hand over his chest. "I'm getting a heart attack! My woman thinks I'm gay! Isn't she supposed to know whether

I'm gay or not? Why would she think that?"

"Mr. Gulliford, are you satisfied with this?" The handsome young man had taken off the only garment, a t-shirt, on his body and was looking at Trevor abashedly. "Get out!" Trevor threw his book down.

He was at the end of his patience. He would have gone ballistic ages ago if it were not for the fact that he didn't want word to get out to all his employees on the island.NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.
