Clueless

“DAMN it! You can’t do this, Dad!” “Try me, Helios. Try me. I warned you. I told you to stay away from that woman, and what did you do? Do you even plan to elope with her? You would destroy the clan if I didn’t find it out!” Helios clenched his fist while he pierced his gaze toward his father. “Don’t you dare touch them,” he uttered. The old man laughed. “I won’t if you promise me that you will forget her and marry Chloe.” Helios’s heart seems enveloped with barbed wire. He tried his best to understand everything—he was just fighting for his love. “If Cliff didn’t tell me about it… I wouldn’t know about it,” Don Lincoln said. Helios now darted his gaze toward the man that stood beside his father. Cliff—the traitor. Helios trusted him as his reaper, but he ended up spoiling his plans. “Be grateful that I didn’t kill you, traitor!” it was Ambrose who stood up beside Helios. Cliff didn’t show any expression and was just looking at them while his friend Ambrose was dressed in rage. Don Lincoln let out a devilish chuckle. “How many times do I have to tell you, son… that you can’t trust someone that much.” Helios scoffed. “You old demon. You want me to marry Chloe, right?” The old man’s eyes widened, and he smiled after. “Don’t worry. I will not bother Zoe anymore. I will marry Chloe,” he said, and after that, he left. Ambrose glared at Cliff for a few seconds before he followed Helios. “Don’t try to escape, Helios! I have a lot of assa—” “You don’t have to tell me, old man!” Helios exclaimed without looking back as he opened the door and left. … “Can you tell me what are we doing here, Grant?” Zoe asked. It’s been an hour since they arrived at the meeting place, but Helios hadn’t arrived yet. While Grant was sitting on the couch while holding his laptop.

Zoe was curious about what he was doing, which made her stand up and sit beside Grant. “Grant…” Grant frowned and looked at her. “Get back to your seat—” “Why are you so cold? You used to smile brightly—” “It’s because I am not Grant,” he said, making Zoe’s eyes widen, and it seemed like her mind couldn’t process what he said. “W-What?” she let out a sarcastic chuckle. “Are you insane—” “I am Grant’s twin brother, Gun.” Zoe’s jaw dropped, and the information won’t register inside her mind. Her heart beats so fast. She faked a laugh. “HAHAHA… what are you saying? Is that your new tactic—” she paused when the man showed his identification card in front of her eyes. Zoe gasped but covered her mouth. She was rendered speechless. “If you don’t believe it, then ask Grant—” “H-How do you know about this?” Gun grinned. “Grant ain’t a good liar, Ms. Levine. Anyway…” he glanced at his wristwatch, “—Grant will be here in a minute,” he added. Zoe has a bad feeling. “Y-You look like Grant—you acted like him a while ago. It’s just that you got a cold voice like—” “Helios?” Zoe met Gun’s eyes. “Y-Yes. And I didn’t know that Grant has a twin brother.” Gun smirked. “Now, you know,” he said and continued tapping on his computer. Zoe clutches her chest. “Helios will c-come, right?” she asked suddenly. Gun arched his brow and looked at her. “What do you anticipate?” She sat straight. “We already talked about this… so, yes—” “He won’t come,” Gun interrupted. Zoe was frozen in her place because of what she heard. And at that moment, Grant entered the house. “What did you do?!” Anger can be visible in Grant’s voice. Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

Gun closes his laptop and rests his right elbow on the armrest. He shrugged. “I didn’t do anything —” “Did you tell her?” Grant asked. Zoe gets back to her senses when she felt a cold drop in her cheeks. “W-What’s happening?” Gun pierced his eyes at Grant as he waited for his twin’s response. He put down his laptop and crossed his arms in front of his chest as he leaned on the sofa. “What do you think?” Gun asked. Grant clenched his fist. “You should have waited for me—” “Where’s Helios, Grant?” Zoe asked as she stood up. Her hands are trembling as her body shakes slightly. Grant looked at her, and sympathy lingered in his eyes. “C-Calm down, Zoe. It will endanger your child—” “Answer me!” Grant approached Zoe and was about to hold her to calm her down when Zoe warned him. “Don’t come near me.” “Zoe…” “Answer me!” Gun sighed and stood up. He suddenly grabbed Zoe’s hand and dragged her outside the house. “Gun! What are you doing? She’s pregnant!” “They’re here. We need to move swifter!” Gun uttered.
