Chapter 122
Chapter 122
Simon's face twitched and gloomed.
Why do I even have a son like this?
Never in Simon's life had he ever met a son who would call a dog to bite his own father.
This kid is the first, man.
Zayron looked impatient when Simon did not reply to him. “I'll close the door if you have nothing to say,” the boy said, grabbing the door handle.
“Wait,” Simon blurted, shoving one of his feet into the door gap, “Where is your mommy? I want to talk to her.”
Zayron glanced at him. “She went out yesterday night and is still not back yet. Just call her if you want to talk to her. I'm tired. Get your foot out, or I'll ask the dog to come. I'm sure Hado will be able to locate that part of yours accurately this time.”
Simon swallowed hard, glaring at the boy in wariness. “D-Did you say she didn't come home? Is she not worried about you guys?” he stuttered in a shaky voice.
“She always does this. That's why I say you're smart. Otherwise, you'd have ended up being cheated on if you married her,” Zayron replied with a shrug.
Simon clenched his jaw. What a promiscuous woman. Can she even bring up the children properly? Thank God I didn't marry her. In fact, I should make sure Artemis and Edmund don't fall for her.
“Well, your great-granddad wants to see you and Susan. Do you guys want to visit him if you all are free?”
Zayron shook his head without even thinking. “I won't go anywhere unless Mommy says so. I don't want to get kidnapped.”
Okay... Does he even see me as his dad?
Simon scratched his nose awkwardly.
“I might not be able to officially make you all a part of the Luther family, but I'm still your father. I won't do that to my own son.”
Zayron cocked his head and looked at Simon haughtily.
“Oh, really? So, you know I'm your son, but you still brush me aside and let me stay outside like a homeless person. What a jerk.”
“He's right. You're a jerk.” A kiddish voice came from inside.
Susan was holding on to her teddy bear, glaring at Simon. “Mommy would be engaged to Daddy Eddy if it were not for you. You're disgusting!”
While speaking, the girl walked over to her brother and gazed at him. “I thought he wanted to bring us to see Great-grandad? We'll go. It's not like we're outsiders. Why can't we go to the Luther residence?”
she asked.
Zayron raised his brows and patted Susan's head. “All right. We'll go,” he announced, raising his leg to boot Simon in the knee.
The man recoiled in pain, and his right foot jerked back from the door.
Bang! The door slammed right in his face.
It took Simon a while to snap back to his senses. “Hey! Are you still coming with me to see Old Mr. Chivers?” he shouted, banging the door.
“We'll see you downstairs after we get changed!”
Simon ended up falling asleep in the car, for he had waited for a good half an hour.
Luckily for him, the journey home was uneventful since the children looked forward to seeing Glen.
But once they arrived at the Luther residence and just got out of the car, they were met with a hostile and angry Felicity.
“Who asked you to bring these two brats here, Simon?”
The man rubbed his forehead in annoyance. “Mom, Granddad wants to see his great-grandchildren, so can you please stop making a fuss? He doesn't have many days left.”
Felicity glowered at him, pointing at Zayron and Susan.
“When did our family acknowledge these two bastards? They're not his great-grandchildren. Send them back before I ask the guards to chase them out! It'll be embarrassing for everyone then.”
Simon's heart sank. “Mom,” he called coldly with his eyes narrowed, “the Luthers' blood run in them. You can be stern all you want, but you can't call them 'bastards.' They are my children, so show me some respect, at least.”
“Exactly, you old witch!” Zayron chimed in. “How dare you say that to us. Are you saying that my daddy is also a bastard? If that's the case, then may I know who's my real grandpa?”
Felicity was incensed. What Zayron said was equivalent to an accusation that Felicity cheated on her husband.
Her arm was shaking in anger when she pointed right at Zayron's nose. “Get lost!” she screamed. “Get out right now! Or I'll ask the guards to break your legs!”
They're not my grandchildren! They're not part of the family! No! I'll never acknowledge them, even if I go to hell! There's no way I'll ever accept these two unruly and rude bastards!
Zayron suddenly felt a gush of thrill in his heart when he saw how infuriated the old woman was.
“Did you say 'get lost'? Sorry, but I don't know how to do that. My mommy is not a dumb*ss, so she never taught us how to do that. You, on the other hand, seem to say that a lot. I bet you know how to do that very well. Why don't you show me how it's supposed to be done?”
The impertinent kid pushed Felicity to the verge of passing out. Her legs gave way, and she faltered
backward.
The maids hurried over to hold her.
“Are you all right, Mrs. Luther? Do you have a headache? Should we send for the doctor?” one of them asked.
“Call all the guards out,” Felicity ordered, still pointing at Zayron. “Tell them to break his legs and throw him out!”
“For real?” the boy scoffed. “You're a cruel witch.”
Then he turned and kicked Simon on the calf and shrieked, “Are you really one of the family? You must be a bastard too! It's all your fault! You'd better go do a paternity test with your daddy!”
All the servants heard what Zayron said because he was shouting, and many started discussing among themselves.
“I remember Mrs. Luther wasn't this harsh when Ms. Rhonda brought Mr. Maxton here. She likes him a lot. I don't know why she hates Mr. Simon's son so much.” Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
“Maybe what that kid said is right.”
“Do you mean Mr. Simon is not Mr. Luther's son?”
