Super Mommy and Her Triplets

Chapter 169

Chapter 169

“W-Who wants to kill my grandson?”

Instead of answering, Artemis glanced at Caridee and Simon, who were both standing dumbfounded at the side.

When they received their eldest brother's cold glance, both of them promptly snapped out of their daze, and they quickly helped their mother up.

However, Felicity just pushed the two of them away as she stepped toward her eldest son and asked through gritted teeth, “You know who poisoned Max, right? Tell me. Who poisoned him? I'm going to flay that b*stard!”

Artemis touched his forehead and sighed. “Let's save that conversation for after Max's condition has stabilized. Right now, it's more important that he survives.”

Upon hearing that, Felicity staggered backward again.

Once again, Caridee held her mother and advised timidly, “Let's visit Granddad first. His operation was very successful, so I think he'll be waking up soon.”

“I'm not going anywhere.” The older woman was stubborn. “No one can drag me away from the emergency room until my grandson is no longer in danger.”

At her words, Caridee turned to Artemis with a troubled look. “Artemis, what—”

“Just let her be.” He waved his hand before rubbing his tired eyes.

Inside the second bedroom in the Jefferson residence, a thud was heard when the phone in Rhonda's hand slipped out and fell to the cold floor.

Seeing that, Beatrice knew what had happened. D*mn it! I can't believe that b*tch Bailey also overcame this difficult obstacle!

During the day, she asked for an expert's opinion.

They told her that if someone with a tumor in their brain was stimulated by a drug that would cause their nervous system to deteriorate, that person would probably be dead. Even a deity would not be able to complete an operation as dangerous as the one Bailey was performing.

The operation being successful made Beatrice wonder if Bailey was a monster who could resurrect the dead.

“What do we do, Mom? What do we do? Bailey succeeded! She actually completed the operation that everyone thought was impossible to pull off! We basically handed her a stepping stone to achieving even greater fame!” Panic filled Rhonda's voice.

Her mother pulled her to the bed and patted her back. “What about Maxton? Is he dead? Since you sprayed the drug onto his shirt, it counts as direct contact. The drug was basically absorbed by him, so did that kill him?”

Upon taking in a deep breath, Rhonda stabilized her emotions and uttered in a sinister voice, “I was told that he foamed at his mouth and convulsed before entering a coma. Let's hope that the grim

reaper will take him quickly. If he dies, my act of stealing Bailey's child will forever be a secret. And as a result, the Luther family will forever treat Bailey's other two children as Simon's children.”

“He even foamed at his mouth? I think he's pretty much dead, then.”

“But Bailey saved Old Mr. Chivers!” Rhonda roared. “Why does she always have such good luck? Even though there was no way she could've succeeded, why did she still manage to overcome that impossibility?”

With a graceful smile, Beatrice reminded, “She may have overcome this predicament, but we still did manage to kill her son. It's not all bad.”

Then she sneered and added, “Don't forget about the Les Cinq Series incident that went viral overseas. She was fully responsible for that. If the matter is investigated, there's no way Luther Group's board of directors will let her walk away scot-free. How much longer do you think she'll lead a happy life in Hallsbay?”

That calmed Rhonda down, though she still gritted her teeth. “That's right. There's still that plagiarism incident waiting to do her in. Even though Jessica is a useless woman, at least she managed to do something I'm satisfied with.”

“Jessica...” Beatrice muttered as a violent look flashed past her eyes. “She'll lose her value after we finish using her. I think we should take care of her once everything's over. She knows you stole Bailey's child, so if she leaks that news out, we may be in danger.”

“Don't worry, Mom. I've already made arrangements for where she will be going. Soon, I'll make her

disappear from this world without anyone noticing.”

The night was as cold as ice.

Inside a private manor in the eastern suburbs of Moranta, there was silence within the master bedroom.

A slender figure was standing in front of a large window. The man's facial expression appeared blurry under the dim light. It was difficult to tell what kind of expression was on his face.

He was holding a wineglass while playing with his phone.

The red liquid inside the glass swirled, causing ripples to spread out.

The phone screen was glowing and displaying a page of received calls.

His bony finger was brushing a number without a name on the screen. Every time he touched it, his surrounding temperature would drop by one degree.

Memories were flooding into his mind.

Anyone who saw the two people entwined in a dimly lit room would experience a potent visual impact.

“Get out of here if you don't want to die!” the man, who was being pinned down by the woman, roared furiously.

However, it was as though the woman had lost all her rational thinking. She had also forgotten about

their status and that if they continued further, irreversible damage would be dealt to their reputation.

Suddenly, the door to the hotel room was kicked open before reporters flooded into the room. Camera lights flashed relentlessly as criticisms, insults, and mockery were flung toward the two even more incessantly.

“What are you doing here with your stepmother, Mr. Lionel?”

“Mr. Lionel, your father is currently in a critical medical condition right now. Are you that eager to get your hands on your stepmother?”

“Mr. Lionel, we heard that you had an engagement with Victoria from the Saunders family. Don't you feel sorry for cheating on her?”

“Did you think about your father and the daughter of the Saunders family when you performed such an immoral and unethical act, Mr. Lionel? Have you considered how they'd feel?”

The man on the bed had already died inside.

When he was brought out of the hotel by members of his family, he saw someone through the sea of people. At a distance, a young woman who used to smile at him often was staring at him coldly.

Next to her was her respected and beloved father, whose hand was lying on her shoulder.

The middle-aged man who set up the whole thing to destroy his reputation was smiling wretchedly at him through the crowd, like a winner showing off a successful, treacherous plan.

It was as though the cruel reality was telling him that he had been set up by the woman he loved.

The gentle and quiet young woman gave up the love they had fostered with each other for the sake of her family.

He felt like a puppet that could do nothing but watch as he was pushed into an endless abyss he could never crawl out of by the woman he trusted and loved the most.

What happened next was the death of his father, the collapse of his family, and his disgraceful escape.

As for her, she was still the daughter of a prestigious family, with countless young men chasing after her.Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
