Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 337

Chapter 337

Coleen flicked off the light and spun around to her daughter. "Hit the sack, honey."

After spending the evening with her daughter, she was as fresh as a daisy the next day.

Seeing her husband, she laughed and said, "You've got nothing on our daughter when it comes to

cheering me up."

Mr. Kendrick, clueless about why his wife was on cloud nine, couldn't help but join in. "What did our

little girl whisper in your ear?"

Coleen said, "She gave me a piece of her mind."

Molly didn't grill Saul about what had happened the night before. The next day, she asked her dad,

"Dad, I have a bone to pick with you about my cousin Saul."

Before she could even finish, Mr. Kendrick cut her off, "I'm in the dark here, don't ask me."

Molly hopped over to Chad and called him sweetly.

"Don't bug me." Chad was not interested in her buttering him up and shoved her away, "You give me a

headache just looking at you."

Molly had become the black sheep of the family, even her doting brother Chad was giving her the cold

shoulder.

At noon, Chad received a work call and left without even grabbing a bite.

Soon after, Mr. Kendrick also got a tip-off call at home and he too left to handle it.

Seeing that the house was empty, Molly grumbled, "Why is everyone busy as a bee and I'm the only

one twiddling my thumbs?"

Just then, her phone rang. It was a call from Jack Ashford.

"Molly, are you free this afternoon? We're throwing a bash and we'd love for you to come."

Molly hesitated for a moment, and then gave him the old, "I have to hit the books this afternoon."

Jack laughed, "Come on, it's Saturday. Take a breather. It'll do wonders for your studying. Plus, the

people coming today are future colleagues. Networking is just as important as your studies, especially

when you take over the company."

Sensing Molly's hesitation, Jack joked, "I'm not gonna bite. I'll pick you up and drop you off. If you're still

worried, I can give your mom a heads-up."

Molly thought it over and agreed, "That's not necessary, just text me the address and I'll head over

later."

Hearing her agreement, Jack was over the moon. His voice was filled with glee, "Alright, I'll text you." All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

After Molly hung up, her phone buzzed with a new message.

After reading the message, she replied with a formal "Received" and then went silent.

Mia of the Cedillo family was gnawing on an apple while scrolling through the investigation results

Cooper had sent over on her phone.

Mia asked, [Cooper, where did you dig up all this dirt?]

Cooper replied, [Don't worry about where I got it. Just tell me, are you treating my nephew right?]

Mia glanced at her baby bump and took another bite of her apple, [I'm taking good care of him.]

After chatting with Cooper for a while, she had to sign off because of the time difference.

Not long after, Andre came home. Seeing his pregnant wife on the sofa, he was on cloud nine. Just

seeing her, even when she's doing nothing, made him happy.

Andre walked over to his wife, who was engrossed in her phone, with a loving look in his eyes. He

reached the sofa, pulled her into his arms, and planted a gentle kiss on her cheek.

Mia wiped her face in annoyance, "Honey, you got your drool all over me. That's gross."

Andre immediately pulled her up, "Come, let's head upstairs."

Mia wasn't keen.

So, Andre just swept his pregnant wife off her feet, not giving her a chance to refuse, and carried her

straight to their bedroom.

Once inside, he didn't say much. He just kissed her, savoring her sweet taste.

"Um.." Mia regretted it.

Her eyes sparkled as she blinked, trying to push him away. Andre just placed her hands on his back,

covered her eyes with one hand, and kept kissing her.

Her phone was confiscated and because she wasn't paying attention to their kiss, Andre gave her a

smack on the butt.

She was ticked off.

Her plan to call Molly was completely out of her mind.

In the afternoon, the weather cooled down a bit. Jack arrived at the Byrne house to pick up Molly.

He was dressed to the nines and behaved like a perfect gentleman. He even got out of the car to open

the door for Molly. "Molly, the party's in an out-of-the-way place. You might get lost if you went by

yourself, so I offered to pick you up."

Jack's party location was on a hill in Havenbrook, a secluded gathering place. He had spent a lot of

time finding this place, not only was it private, but it also had a great environment.

On the road, Jack mentioned the place to Molly, "Molly, do you like swimming?"

Molly said, "I do, but I'm too chicken to swim without my brother. He said there are monsters in the

water that will pull me under."

When she was a child, the school leaflets warned students not to swim in the river to avoid drowning.

Molly didn't understand why people drowned, so Chad scared her by saying, "There are monsters in

the water, they'll grab your feet and pull you under." This scared young Molly so much that she wouldn't

dare swim unless Chad was with her.

Jack laughed, saying she was adorable.

"Molly, I'm really sorry about last time. I've been trying to reach you but I showed up at your school

without giving you a heads up. I regret that I upset you with my actions. I've been looking for a chance

to apologize to you in person, but I couldn't find the right opportunity. I thought if I just texted you an

apology, you might think I wasn't sincere. Today, I want to say sorry to you face to face."

Molly recalled the incident. She was indeed upset at first but she had forgotten about it afterwards. She

didn't hold a grudge, "It's fine, just give me a ring next time if you want to ask something."

After nearly an hour's drive, they finally arrived at the party venue Jack had mentioned.

As soon as Molly got out of the car, she spotted a few luxury sedans parked on the side, with Jack's car

front and center.

Ms. Thornton had already arrived, clad in a red dress and arm in arm with two girls, all of them sporting

exquisite makeup. Spotting Molly, she joked, "Looks like Molly's got some pull, Jack came to pick her

up personally. I tried to get a ride with him, but he turned me down and said he had plans."

Someone chimed in, "Just take a look at who Jack's throwing this shindig for. How could you possibly

think you'd get him to pick you up?"

Jack responded with a laugh, "Molly's still a student. It's her first time at a bash like this, let's lay off the

teasing, eh? Take good care of Molly, will you all?"

To everyone present, Molly was just a simple and gentle good girl. She was introverted, and not much

of a talker. She was incredibly tender, just like a well-bred little missy.

Jack, no matter when, would always look out for her.
