Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 351

Chapter 351

Andre shook his head indulgently as he watched his hardworking little wife, letting her say whatever

she wanted as long as she was happy.

Hansen, after taking a sip of his juice, shot a glare at his son. "Why did you order it with less ice and no

sugar? I like it with more ice and regular sugar. A juice without sugar and ice is soulless."

Hansen had become like a young man himself, knowing quite a bit about ordering juices.

Mia, with a mournful look in her eyes, glanced at the now lukewarm juice in her father's hand. "Be

grateful. Your son won't even let his precious wife have a sip."

Hansen glanced at the fruit tea in his daughter-in-law's hand and dismissively said, "What's so great

about fruit tea? Our maid can make you a dozen different flavors."

Mia responded with the same argument, "What's so good about juice? Our maid can also make a

dozen different flavors."

Hansen was left speechless. He loved to banter with his daughter-in-law, but he never seemed to win.

"Where's my daughter?"

"She's with Chad."

Hansen grumbled, "She's always around that Byrne boy. Andre, bring your sister back home."

Mia pointed at Hansen and gave him a 'I knew you'd say that' look. "You're starting again, aren't you?

The Byrne's is also Molly's home. She's spent months with you, so what's wrong with her going back to

the Byrne's for the holidays?"

Hansen pulled Mia closer and whispered his suspicion, "Mia, I think that Byrne boy has ulterior motives

for my daughter."

How did her simple-minded father figure that out?

Soon, Leo also returned. Seeing his father and Mia whispering and holding drinks, he asked, "What are

you guys talking about? Let me in on it."

Hansen turned his face away dismissively, "It's adult business. Why are you so nosy?"

Leo huffed. He quietly took a seat on a nearby couch.

Remembering something, Mia turned to Hansen, "Dad, if your grand-daughter was pregnant, would

you hug her waist?"

"Could it be that you're expecting a girl?" Hansen was inexplicably happy. Could he be having both a

grandson and a grand-daughter?

Leo's gaze also shifted to Mia's stomach. Was he getting a sister?

Mia shook her head, dashing Hansen's hopes, "It's a boy."

Hansen's joy deflated instantly. In a slightly sulky tone, he said, "I don't have a grand-daughter, so I

wouldn't know."

He was still waiting for Mia to promise to give him a grand-daughter for his second child.

Mia asked again, "What if your daughter was pregnant? Would you hug her then?"

Hansen stared at his seemingly deranged daughter-in-law and retorted, "Am I insane?"

Then, Hansen added, "Her husband should be the one to do that. Even a father has to have

boundaries with his daughter. What kind of question is that?" Hansen added dismissively, "Waste of

breath. Pointless and boring."

Hansen then went back to enjoying his juice.

However, Mia's expression turned serious, "Dad, I saw Finley today. The same Finley who tricked you

into drinking lemonade, caused you to sprain your ankle and land in the hospital, and constantly held

down my brother's promotion. And... well, the one who's always at odds with our family."

Hearing the sour past being brought up, Leo silently got up and left the living room.

Hansen's expression of disgust was indescribable. He gave his daughter-in-law a wry look, "You could

have just mentioned Finley's name and I would have known. All that unnecessary explanation, you've

practically talked my ears off."

"I was just worried you'd forget who Finley was due to your old age."

Upon hearing this, Hansen reached for his cane to scare her. Mia quickly dodged to her husband's

side, "I saw him with a pregnant woman today, and he was hugging her waist. Like this." She couldn't

find the words to describe it, so she grabbed Andre's hand and wrapped it around her waist to

demonstrate.

The expressions of both Hansen and Andre immediately turned serious.

"Mia, are you saying that while I was out getting you your fruit tea, you saw Finley with a pregnant

woman?" Andre asked sternly.

Mia nodded blankly, saying, "I actually saw them at the hospital during my check-up last time too."

Andre looked up at his father, his dark eyes filled with concern. Hansen put down his cane and his

juice. His brows furrowed.

Mia felt the atmosphere in the living room change, and her husband and her father both looked serious.

"Dad, honey, what's wrong?" In the living room, hers was the only voice.

Hansen said to his daughter-in-law, "Mia, remember to steer clear of Finley Walton’s family."

Mia realized something was very wrong. "If you don't tell me why, I'll get curious. And you know what

they say, curiosity killed the cat. Especially now that I'm on holiday and have a lot of free time, and I'm

not exactly the obedient type, so if..."

Hansen interrupted, "Finley is the last of his line."

Mia was so shocked she couldn't finish her sentence. Her mouth hung open as she looked back and

forth between her father and her husband.

Andre nodded slightly, "He's a bit extreme. Dad's worried that since he doesn't have any children, he

might not treat you well when he finds out you're pregnant."

Mia blinked, "Honey, you're saying he won’t have kids? Why?"

Andre replied, "It's all old news from dad's generation."

But Hansen told his daughter-in-law, "Mia, don't mention seeing Finley and that pregnant woman to

others."

Mia pouted and obediently nodded.

"Andre, come to the study with me."

The Cedillo family's living room was left with Mia, who also quickly left the living room.

Over at the Byrne family's...

Chad finally made it back home, immediately asking his sister if Jack had made any contact with her.

Molly shook her head, "He called twice after you left, then I had exams and was busy studying. He

hasn't called since, probably got the hint."

Chad felt a weight lift off his chest; he was always worried someone would make a move on Molly

when he wasn't around.

"And what about you, bro? Anybody shown interest in you?" Molly questioned with a detective-like Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

intensity.

Chad responded, "Once they found out I had a 'girlfriend', no one's been giving me second glances."

"Give me your phone, let me see who you've added anyone on Facebook since you left."

Chad handed it over, "They're all, you know, family men, male colleagues." He didn't even add any

married female colleagues, let alone single ones.

Molly took a quick scan and sure enough, they were all men.

Molly was as reassured as she could possibly be!
