Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 408

Chapter 408

Leo felt slightly embarrassed. At his age, he still found himself seeking refuge behind his Uncle Andre

whenever he got scared. Therefore, he decided to stay put.

Andre didn’t force him. He figured if Leo was really that terrified, he would eventually join him.

The two guys inside were already spooked, jumping at the slightest noise and running aimlessly around

the room. Before long, they found themselves in another chamber. This one was with a distinctively

eerie theme.

As soon as they entered, the atmosphere changed. A fog began to fill the room, and out of the mist, a

figure appeared. On closer inspection, it was a skeleton. It was a girl wearing a school uniform, and her

face was as white as a sheet.

“Ah!!!”

Before the ghost, a girl in a bloody school uniform, had a chance to start her scare tactics, a scream

echoed through the room. “I haven’t even started scaring you yet.”

Michael directed her. “Go after them. This theme is a haunted school.”

So, they found themselves being chased around by a schoolgirl ghost. The tapping of her shoes

echoed eerily in the silent room. “Come out. I know you’re here. It’s fun. Come play with me.”

The father-son duo fled aimlessly until they found themselves in what seemed like a safer room. They

shut the door behind them, only to hear a knock echoing in the silence. Each knock felt like a punch to

their hearts, making their legs go weak.

In their fear, they forgot about their pretense of being mad men. They didn’t dare open the door. But

inside the room, there was something even more terrifying.

The room was filled with dolls – old, bloody, and some that seemed to move on their own!

Then, an eerie laughter filled the room, which was a sound deliberately added in post-production. The

laughter was chilling, like a baby’s. “You’re here, finally. Will you play with me?”

Hearing this, both of them were rooted to the spot. Their eyes were wide open in terror. They even

forgot to run.

The previous fear made them run instinctively, but this baby doll room made their legs shake

uncontrollably. They both ended up wetting their pants.

Then, the baby’s laughter turned into a wail, echoing continuously in their ears. A room of dolls all

seemed to be staring at them.

Ellory was the first to surrender, stuttering in fear, “No, no, don’t come for us. We didn’t harm you. Your

mother is alive. You can be reincarnated.”

Andre frowned at the screen, puzzled.

Kyle, another family member, kneeled on the ground. “Don’t come for me. I didn’t harm you. It wasn’t

me. Don’t come closer. We’ve already paid the price.”

Leo also frowned, wondering what was happening.

The knocking stopped at that moment. The father and son got up from the floor, finding nothing scarier

in the entire room than the baby dolls. They were frightened enough to prefer dealing with other ghosts.

However, as soon as they opened the door, they saw a high school girl standing at the door with a

creepy smile. The light hit her from under her chin, making her look frighteningly ominous. Also hanging

in mid-air was a red-dressed ghost drifting towards them, as if coming to claim their lives.

At this point, Ellory and Kyle felt like fainting.

Michael appeared in his costume, floating there, looking like a real ghost from hell. To be more

convincing, his voice also turned eerie, "I heard, you guys are fools, I like to play with fools the most."

Then, various crawling things, mechanical walkers, and jumpers from the corridor all headed towards

this room. Behind them was an inescapable nightmare of a baby's cry, and in front of them was a group

of ghosts that were terrifying.

Ellory was the first to lose control, kneeling on the ground and crying loudly, "I'm not crazy, I'm not

crazy, ah!"

Kyle just exchanged a glance with Michael, terrified to the point of collapsing on the ground, "Help,

help!"

Leo was ready to take them out when Andre stopped him. “Let’s use this opportunity to find out who

they were apologizing to.”

Leo nodded and sent a message to Michael.

Someone in the production room saw the message on Michael’s phone and relayed the information to

Michael through the crew’s internal communication system.

Michael, dressed as a ghost, with blood dripping from his nails, asked in a chillingly low voice, “Who is

the child you killed? Who? Who?”

The ‘high school girl’ moved closer, with the sound of a baby’s cry echoing from the room behind her. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

Unbeknownst to them, a crawling ghost had already reached Kyle. He was so scared that he fainted.

Only Ellory was left in the room.

“The child... was my daughter’s,” he confessed.

Leo was taken aback. Kyle’s only married daughter was his mother! Andre also suspected that this

might be related to Naomi’s miscarriage.

The ‘high school girl’ threatened, “You’ll have to join me if you lie.”

Fearing for his life, Ellory confessed everything. “It is my daughter, Naomi. I didn’t mean for this to

happen...”

Back then, the Cedillo family was consumed by tragedy. Their lives were bleak and colorless. Only

Naomi, the sole woman in the family, was holding the family together.

Then, Naomi got pregnant. Her pregnancy was like a burst of color in the Cedillo family’s

monochromatic life.

The family finally had something to celebrate, and the gloomy atmosphere lightened.

Hansen felt a renewed sense of hope. Andre visited Naomi a few times. Bruce even got promoted.

Naomi’s status in the family rose implicitly.

The Cedillo family was slowly improving, and surprisingly, they didn’t fall apart.

However, the person who wanted to see the Cedillo family crumble, to see them lose all their women

and live in sorrow forever, couldn’t tolerate this. He wanted to ensure that the Cedillo family remained

colorless, and made their life a living hell.

It was his command that sealed Naomi’s fate. His lawfully wedded wife and eldest daughter were green

with envy over everything Naomi had. Their jealousy was a lethal weapon for him.

Years ago, his wife and daughter were manipulated by this man into killing Naomi. They obeyed his

orders, exploiting Naomi’s gratitude towards Mr. Rodrigo. They told her, “Your grandpa is on his last

legs. Come back to bid him a final farewell.” That was how they tricked her into returning to the Mastin

family.

Little did Naomi know, her return would lead to her imprisonment by the Mastin family. They locked her

in the basement, torturing her with all means until her legs were covered in crimson, until she passed

out from the pain.

In fact, he could have killed Naomi directly. But after all, that meant taking a life, staining his hands with

blood. So he decided to wait it out and let the grim reaper take her naturally when she could no longer

bear the torment.

In the end, the Cedillo family stormed the Mastin house, forcing Rodrigo to reveal Naomi’s

whereabouts.
