Chapter 443
Chapter 443
Mia nudged her husband Andre’s arm. “Hush, we’re in this together. Don’t let your old man hear. The
money I swindle, isn’t it still ours?”
Andre laughed. “I told you to swindle less, not to stop entirely. If you take too much at once, he’ll get
suspicious.”
“Sneaky!”

Molly just thought astrology and fortune-telling was fun but nothing serious. Two days later, she had a
surprising encounter at the entrance of her office that made her truly appreciate the wonders of the
universe.
Jack was standing there holding a huge bouquet of roses for her!
The bad apple! It arrived!
“Molly, just finished work?”
Molly said, “No, just taking a breather.”
Molly already finished her work, but she turned to head back into the office.
Quick as a flash, Jack blocked her path. “Molly, these are for you,” said Jack, extending the roses
towards her.
The sight of Molly being given a bouquet of roses by a well-dressed man attracted the attention of her
colleagues who were also leaving for the day. Discreetly, they observed the scene, not wanting to make
a scene at the door.
Molly put her hands behind her back. “Jack, what are you up to?”
Jack didn’t seem offended by her question. Instead, he explained, “Molly, my family has been going
through some difficult times recently, and I didn’t want to burden you with it. I just stayed away. Now,
everything is back to normal. I can confidently pursue you.”
He offered the roses again, but Molly was firm in her refusal. “I've already said no. This is harassment.”
Unfazed by Molly’s reaction, Jack said, “Then consider this harassment, Molly. I like you. From the
moment I saw you, I was amazed. I can’t forget how good you looked in pink the first time we met…”
“Stop.” Molly had no idea how annoying he could be.
Jack continued, “I know my family can’t compare to yours.”
“You got that right!” Molly was always confident and assertive, whether it was because of the prestige
of the Cedillo family or the values instilled in her by the Byrne family.
Jack went on, “My parents have divorced, and I now control the company. I can give you a good
future.”
Molly was infuriated. She took a deep breath and said, “I think you might not understand why I refused
you. I just don’t like you.”
Jack responded, “Molly, you used to like me.”
“No, no, no. I was indifferent to you before. Now, I’m annoyed. Do you understand?”
Jack gripped the roses tighter and looked at Molly, holding back his frustration. Then, struggling to keep
a pleasant demeanor, he said, “Molly, you have the right to refuse me, and I have the right to pursue
you. I will keep trying until you agree to be my girlfriend. I love you, and that’s a fact.”
Molly retorted, “I’m not planning to lose weight right now, so please stop making me vomit.”
He tried to give her the roses again, but Molly refused. When he tried to force the roses under Molly’s
arm, she warned, “Try to force me again, and I’ll have Chad come sort you out.”
Jack laughed. “Then call Chad. I’ll tell him the same thing I told you. I like you, and I won’t give up.”
Last time, Chad’s warning had scared him for a while, but this time, he wasn’t afraid of Chad’s threats.
Why? Molly was puzzled. Did he know that her brother wasn’t at home and she couldn’t contact him?
But how could he know that?
Just as Molly was about to explode in a fit of rage, her mother Coleen appeared. “Molly.”
“Mom, help! I’m being harassed,” Molly cried out. Everyone around heard and started to gather around.
It turned out, the man wasn’t Molly’s boyfriend but a suitor.
Coleen quickly stepped between her daughter and Jack. She looked at the roses in his hand and asked
knowingly, “Mr. Jack, why are you suddenly free to come to my company doorstep?”
Addressing Coleen with respect, Jack said, “Please, just call me Jack. I’m here to see Molly.”
Speaking straightforwardly, Coleen said, “I will still call you Mr. Jack. We’re not that close. My daughter
and you have no relation. Please stop bothering her with roses at my company’s doorstep. We’re all
part of the same circle, Mr. Jack. Be considerate.”
“Are you going to stop me from pursuing Molly?”
Jack seemed to have changed in an instant, becoming arrogant and disrespectful towards Coleen.
Sensing Jack’s disrespect, Molly felt her temper flare up. She was about to retort when Coleen stopped
her.
“As her mother, I have the right to interfere with her love life.”
“Ha-ha.” Jack laughed and glanced at Molly. “I’ll leave now, Molly. I’ll ask you out another day.”
Coleen added, “There’s no need for that. Save some dignity for yourself.”
Jack looked at Molly. “But if I can’t her, I feel uncomfortable.”
“Stop coming to see me. I’m not a vet. I don’t treat your kind of sickness,” Molly finally snapped.
Jack was stunned.
Coleen finally realized how refreshing it was to speak one’s mind.
Shielding her daughter, Coleen headed to her car. This time, she didn’t scold Molly for her lack of
restraint.
“What a thankless bastard.”
Coleen continued, “For such a person, your father, brother, and I, we wouldn’t let you be with him.”

Coleen replied, “I don’t know either.”
Once back home, Molly sent a text to Stephania about being pursued by a guy. “Where on earth is my
Mr. Right?”
“The one in your heart.”
Molly replied, “There’s no one in my heart.”
Stephania said, “Then I must have misread.”
“No, you’re spot on. You said I’d have some unwanted suitors, and here they are.”NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
