Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 459

Chapter 459

When Chad got out of his car, he thought he had left unnoticed, but when he tiptoed into the living room

to change his boots and saw Molly sleeping on the couch, he was taken aback. Why was she sleeping

here? Could she have been waiting for him?

After washing the blood off his hands in the bathroom, he moved to the living room, staring at the

beautiful young girl asleep on the couch - a delicate doll, just like the first time he saw her.

He sat on the sofa, gazing at her from a close distance. His mind was flooded with memories of her -

the good, the bad, the sweet, and the infuriating. Each image of her was lively, like a little pixie dancing

in his heart.

He could be firm with anyone, but with Molly, he was always wavering, always indulgent. He spoiled

her rotten, making sure she only ever needed him. He cherished her deeply.

To protect his girl, Chad would crush any ill intentions before they even had a chance to manifest.

He carefully lifted Molly, cradling her sleeping form in his arms. She woke groggily, rubbing sleep from

her eyes. “Chad, you’re back,” she murmured, wrapping her arms around his neck. Her concern for him

was evident in her tone.

Chad chuckled. It was a deep, magnetic sound that tugged at Molly’s heartstrings.

“Chad, did you get in a fight?”

Chad said, “I’m a law enforcement officer. I don’t fight.”

“Okay,” Molly replied, though she didn’t quite believe him.

He brought her to her bedroom door, setting her down. “You can go back to sleep now.”

“Chad.”

“Yes?”

“Never mind.”

“Alright, go to sleep.” Chad opened the door for her.

Molly blinked rapidly, and then asked, “Do you want a kiss?”

Chad didn’t say anything.

Molly was playfully pushed back into her room by Chad, and then the door was closed firmly behind

her.

“Oh, I meant on the cheek. Chad.”

Chad had already left.

Molly pouted, “Fine, I’ll save my kisses for Mia’s baby.”

The next morning, Molly was still in bed at half-past seven for her eight o’clock class.

“Chad, can you wake her?” Coleen asked.

Chad walked into the kitchen and came out with a stainless steel pot cover in one hand and a spatula

in the other. Everyone in the Byrne household watched in surprise as Chad walked upstairs. A few

moments later, the sound of banging echoed from Molly’s room – the noise of Chad banging the pot

cover with the spatula.

Soon after, Molly’s voice rang out, “Okay, I’m up! Chad, I’m up! Stop banging!”This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Within three minutes, Molly was downstairs in the living room.

Chad set the pot cover and spatula down, staring at Molly. “Sit down and eat.”

Molly shook her head, trying to clear the ringing in her ears. “I need to wash up.”

“You have seven minutes to wash up and get dressed.”

Molly quickly retreated to the bathroom. Chad turned to the housemaid. “Can you pack Molly’s

breakfast for her? She can eat it on the way.”

After Molly left for school, Coleen turned to her husband. “Our son is so smart.”

Kendrick replied, “Our daughter seems a bit pitiful, though.”

Coleen said, “Our family needs someone who can handle Molly.”

After that, they both left for work.

Early in the morning at Cedillo Inc., Alice informed Andre, “Sir, Jack has been hospitalized again.”

Mia, who accompanied her husband to work, asked curiously, “What do you mean again?”

Caught in the crossfire again?

Having been Andre’s right-hand for years, Alice understood his command with just a simple look. “I’ll

get to work then,” she said.

As soon as Alice left, Mia, Andre’s wife, came to his side. “Did you go rough someone up last night?”

she asked.

Andre responded, “You were practically glued to my side last night. When would I have the time?”

“If it wasn’t you, then it must’ve been Chad.” With a single sentence, Mia unravelled the truth, not even

batting an eyelid.

Andre didn’t bother hiding anything from his wife. “Keep it down,” he said, “I’ll give someone a call to

figure this out.”

He received the response, “She didn’t say much, but someone needs a lesson, a warning to steer clear

of trouble.”
