Chapter 114 Where Am I
Chapter 114 Where Am I
The darkness made Fiona's mind race—memories and thoughts flooding it. As much as she wanted to
calm down, she couldn't. When she saw the slightest trace of light, she longed for more.
"Please don't... Go away!" Screaming, Fiona suddenly opened her eyes. She lay in the bed, staring at
the ceiling. She took deep breaths in an attempt to calm herself down. All the events of the previous
day were monopolizing her thoughts once more.
The jewelry store, Celine, the men in black, the kidnapping...
As the light shone through the window, Fiona sat up in bed and lifted the quilt. She got up from the bed
and began to walk out of the room, her mind blank.
As she ran to the door with her bare feet,
the door was suddenly opened from the outside. It was a servant who had opened the door. She
looked like she was in her forties . When she saw Fiona's face, she was stunned. "Miss, are you
awake?"
Clutching her chest, Fiona took a step back and looked at the woman in high alert. "Who are you?
Where am I? What am I doing here?"
"Well... you're asking so many questions. I don't know which one to answer first. You just woke up, how
are you feeling? Do you need me to call a doctor for you?"
The more polite the servant was, the more frightened Fiona became. She hurriedly stepped back,
shook her head, and suddenly shouted, "Help! Help! Help!"
The servant was frightened, not knowing what to do. So she tried to stop her instead. "Miss, please
don't shout! You..."
"What's wrong?" A man's voice came from the stairway as the sound of footsteps drew nearer. "I told
you to take good care of her! Why was she screaming? Hmm?" The voice sounded familiar to Fiona.
She instinctively looked towards the angry man as he walked into the room accompanied by several
other men.
When she saw the man's face, Fiona's mind went completely blank. Charles? What was Charles doing
here?
"Get this servant out of my sight!" Charles frowned as he pointed to the servant. "You're useless!"
"Sir, please don't!" The servant began to struggle and kneel down on the floor on both knees. "I was
wrong, sir! Please don't fire me! I will serve her well but please don't fire me!"
At the sight of this, Fiona was so shocked that she couldn't speak. Why was this woman kneeling in
front of Charles? Why was the woman looking at him with fear?
Indifferently, Charles waved his hand. Just as the two bodyguards approached the servant, she
suddenly walked towards Fiona and kneeled down in front of her. Grabbing her leg, the servant
begged, "Miss, please forgive me! I didn't mean to scare you. Please!"
Quivering, Fiona looked up, meeting Charles' gaze. "Why are you firing her?" she asked in a low voice.
"Because she didn't take good care of you. I heard you shout for help." Charles was more
approachable than usual as he was wearing casual clothes. He eyed Fiona from head to toe. Upon
noticing her bare feet, he frowned and said, "Even though it's warm here, you should still be wearing
shoes. Go on and put on your shoes."
This amount of concern made Fiona feel uneasy as panic grew in her eyes. Seeing Charles in such a
strange place didn't sit well with Fiona.
As Fiona seemed lost in her thoughts, Charles shouted at the bodyguards, "What are you waiting for?
Get her out!"
"Wait!" Suddenly, Fiona reached out her hand and stood in front of the servant. She felt frightened that
she didn't know what to say next.
"What? What do you want to say?" Charles looked at her with interest.
With a grim smile, Fiona glanced at the servant and said, "She just entered the room. She didn't do
anything. I shouted for help but it wasn't because of her. You..."
"You don't want her to leave?" Charles asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Miss, please save me!" the woman pleaded as she clutched Fiona's ankle, tears streaming down her
face.
Looking at her expression, Fiona looked up at Charles and nodded. "She didn't do anything wrong and
she wants to stay..."
"Then stay." The corners of Charles' mouth lifted into a smile. He heaved a sigh of relief and said,
"Then you can stay. If something like this happens again, I won't just fire you, got it?"
"Thank you, sir! Thank you, miss! Thank you, sir! Thank you, miss..." The servant immediately knelt
down and kept bowing to Charles and Fiona.
Fiona stepped back in fright. She didn't know where she was and why the woman was so scared.
Charles waved his hand dismissively as the two guards dragged the servant out in silence.
"Go put on your shoes," Charles ordered.
It seemed that Fiona was just snapping out of her daze. Shaking her head, she refused, "No, I don't
want to. Tell me where we are."
"This is my house," Charles said simply.
"Your house?" She looked around in disbelief. "You said that this is... the Wen family's house?"
"No." The corners of Charles' mouth lifted into a mocking smile. He slowly walked towards Fiona and
said, "This is my house, and we are in T Country." He reached out and tucked the hair from her
forehead behind her ear, doting on her as if they were a couple.
Fiona froze.
Slightly raising her head, she stared at Charles, her eyes filled with confusion, shock, and disgust.
"I'm in T country?" Fiona couldn't help but be suspicious. Suddenly, realization dawned on her. She
yelled, "Was that you, Charles? Did you kidnap me?"
Despite Fiona's yelling, Charles said softly, "How could I do that to you? I brought you here because
you weren't behaving well. Look, I prepared this room especially for you. Don't you like it?"
Didn't he basically admit that he did kidnap Fiona?
Fiona continued to retreat, her eyes turning red and her lips trembling. Trying to suppress her fear, she
protested, "I don't want to be here! Charles, I want to go home. Please send me back to M City!
Please!"
The room was so quiet that only Fiona and Charles could be heard talking. The bodyguards and the
servants stood aside in silence.
"You just arrived and you've barely had any rest. Why are you in such a hurry?" Charles' eyes dimmed
as he spoke. "Just be good and stay here. I'll give you whatever you want."
With that, she moved closer to her and raised his hand gently to touch her chin. He bent over and
slowly moved closer to her face.
"Go away!" Fiona turned her head away in disgust and pushed Charles away. Her body trembled in
fear. In a weak voice, she threatened, "Don't come closer!"
Charles frowned and asked, "Fiona, are you afraid of me?"
"You bastard! Why did you bring me here? I'm leaving!" Fiona yelled hysterically. As soon as she
finished speaking, she attempted to run out like a crazy woman. However, it didn't take long for Charles
to block her. She was only able to take two steps before she was blocked.
"Fiona!" Charles carried her in his arms, walked towards the bed, and threw her on it. In a vicious tone,
he spat, "Unless you promise to be with me, you're never getting out of here!"
'Be with him?' Fiona clenched her fists as she yelled, "No way!"
"We'll see." Charles' eyes were gleaming mischievously. He grabbed her pajamas and tightened his
grip on her shoulder. Tearing her clothes off, he lowered his head and started kissing her on her
collarbone.
"Ah––" Fiona waved her arms and legs desperately, tears running down her face. She shouted,
"Spencer! Save me! Spencer, Spencer!"
"Shut up!" Charles growled as he raised his head. He stared at Fiona, gnashing his teeth. "Don't you
ever mention his name again!"
"Boo...hoo..." Fiona's voice choked with sobs, unable to say a word as she trembled.
A cold look on his face, Charles bellowed, "From now on, you'll never get to see Spencer again." After
he spoke, he turned to the servant by his side and said, "Give her the drug and make sure she doesn't
go anywhere. Take care of her. I don't want to hear her call for help again."
"Yes, sir."
'Drug?' When Fiona heard this, her heart skipped a beat. Grabbing her clothes, she retreated to the
bed. "I don't want to..."
One of the maids carried a small tray on which there was a single syringe. The maid slowly made her
way to where Fiona was as she took out the syringe. "Miss, please don't make this difficult for us."
"No! Uh..."
Before she could finish her sentence, she was pinned down as a sharp needle pierced into her skin
successfully crippling her. NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.
When Charles reached the door and heard Fiona groaning, he stopped in his tracks and turned back to
look at her. Briefly frowning, he turned around and left.
The effect of the liquid in the syringe that had just been injected to Fiona was paralyzing. No matter
how hard she tried to move her hands and feet, she couldn't.
"This drug doesn't have any side effects but it does paralyze you temporarily lest you misbehave. Rest
well and we'll prepare breakfast for you."
After saying that, the servant quietly pushed the door open and left.
The room fell into a thick silence. Fiona began to sob as she mumbled to herself, calling out the name
that always brought her relief. "Spencer..."
