Take Me Away

Chapter 82 Get Hurt (Part One)

Chapter 82 Get Hurt (Part One)

Celine was stunned for a moment after seeing Spencer, but soon a faint smile spread across her face.

‘Ha-ha! That's what I was looking forward to.’

As soon as Fiona heard Spencer’s voice, she quickly pulled herself out of Ryan’s embrace and wiped

the tear from the corner of her eye. She turned to him, looking surprised. "What are you doing here?"

"Why are you here?" He glanced at Ryan, then looked back at her. "Come here!"

As he looked on at the couple, Ryan thought about how he had always felt inferior to Spencer. Even if

he didn’t want Fiona to leave, there was nothing he could do.

And yet, she looked at Spencer as if she intended to defy him. In return, Spencer narrowed his eyes

coldly.

Sophia’s head hurt more the longer she watched what was happening, so her eyes darted around,

quickly trying to find a solution.

In the midst of the commotion, the fat woman took the opportunity to leave with the baby in her arms.

"Hey!" Sophia suddenly shouted, grabbing the woman’s arm. "She hit Fiona, and now she wants to run

away! Catch her!"

Everyone turned their eyes to her.

"What’s wrong with you?" the woman asked as her eyes flashed with anger. Noticing Spencer staring

at her, she scowled. "A lot of people come and go around here! People bumping into each other is

normal. What’s wrong with you? I have to go, my baby is crying!"

As if on cue, the child in her arms began to cry once more.

Fiona grabbed Sophia’s arm and shook her head. "It was my fault for running too fast. Please let her

go."

Spencer’s eyes narrowed. One look at the woman, and he immediately felt something was off.

She had good taste in clothes—in fact, she wore a thick fur cape, but she didn’t carry any bag to

match.

The baby was crying, but what she was swaddling was oddly rounded, as if something had been

stuffed in it. As the woman hurried away, Spencer reached out a hand towards her direction. "Stop!"

The woman paused. Charles looked on with raised eyebrows.

"May I have a look at your child?" He strode forward, his right hand hovering near the gun on his waist.

His instinct was almost always right, and right now it told him this woman was trouble.

"What’s wrong?" Taken aback, Sophia’s voice trembled. "Is he actually going to take her child away

because she bumped into you?"

"I don’t think that’s it." Fiona shook her head. Even she felt something was wrong. The atmosphere at

the airport had been a bit strange the whole time, as if a lot of eyes had been following them.

"You’re even weirder!" shouted the woman. "Why should I show you my child? Are you a human

trafficker? Are you trying to take my baby away from me?"

"Cut the crap!" In one swift motion, Spencer pulled out the gun and pointed it in between her eyes.

"Give me the child now!"

It wasn’t the first time Fiona had seen Spencer shoot, but she hadn’t seen him look as serious he did

now. The idea that he could be on a mission flashed across her mind. Was that why he suddenly

appeared at the airport?

As soon as he drew out his weapon, four men who were seemingly passersby a moment ago suddenly

surrounded the woman.

The woman cried out as she saw them. "This man took out a gun and is trying to steal my child away

from me! I don’t know what his problem is. Please help, I’ve just been minding my own business!"

Passengers started to gather around.

Sophia froze where she stood, unblinking. She’d never seen a real gun before, and now she was

staring at Spencer pointing one at the woman.

Startled for just a moment, Ryan quickly realized something was wrong.

He was about to get Fiona out of the way but found that Charles had already pulled her aside. "What

are you doing?" Fiona struggled as Charles continued to drag her away. "Let go of me!"

"It’s getting dangerous. You should leave." A few men followed behind them quietly, as if to watch their

backs as they left.

As clueless as Ryan felt, he tried to remain rational. He proceeded to pull Sophia towards the safety

belt while Andrew followed them closely behind.

Only Celine remained there, at a loss for words.

"Don’t you dare try to run away!" RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

Just as Spencer was arguing with the woman, Eric’s voice echoed from the other end of the airport

lobby.

He was running after a well-dressed middle-aged man, who was reaching for something in his shirt

pocket. Spencer recognized what it was as soon as he turned to look.

"Get down!" he shouted.

The man pointed his gun upwards and swiftly fired a shot

that rang in the ears of everyone in the lobby.

Before anyone could start to run, however, he then aimed low and shot several more times.

He eventually hit a man, who dropped to the floor, blood soaking through his clothes. The hall was in

immediate chaos. Screams and cries mixed together as passengers desperately rushed towards the

exit.

The woman took advantage of the chaos and used the time to escape. In an instant, she’d stopped

crying and took out a gun holstered on her waist. She then covered her face and tried to blend in with

the crowd.

She was no longer the same woman that she had been five seconds ago.

"Don’t you dare move! You think you can get away that easily?" Spencer shouted.

The woman fired a shot.

His instincts worked overtime as he dodged, the bullet grazing his side before embedding itself into the

wall behind him.

Many who seemed like boarding passengers before the chaos then stood up and took out their own

weapons, also firing at Spencer.

They were all obviously positioned to give the woman a chance to escape.

Spencer’s eyes narrowed. He was right about the swaddle hiding something after all. At the sound of

gunfire, he pulled his own trigger. As long as they manage to catch the woman, they would be able to

find out what drugs they were selling. It would also be a great consolation prize to find out more about

X straight from the mouth of one of its own members!

"Get down!"

Meanwhile, Charles managed to drag Fiona to a relatively safe spot. Hearing gunshots, he quickly

pressed her to the floor. Fiona trembled as she covered her ears with her hands.

The corners of Charles’ lips lifted slightly as he scanned the disastrous scene around the airport. Even

if the transaction failed, the chaos worked to their advantage. At the very least, they would have not

made it easy for Spencer.

The only thing he didn’t take into account was Fiona showing up at the airport. If it weren’t the case,

Celine would have been made hostage. Then he would see if Spencer was willing to save her. She was

such a stupid woman anyway. Charles didn't care if she died.
