Chapter 179 A Old Vampire Tale
It was the year 2008. I was very set in my ways of Vampire Master with my days of exploring the female kind so recklessly behind me. Yet, I still had my witch here and then, even perhaps a fairy once, but my way of chasing a ‘skirt’ as they would like to refer to it these days, was long over.
It was a cold winter’s night, there was a slight mist covering the road, and the rain was pounding down onto the roof of the car. It was down south here in London by where some of the old warehouses are found. My path led me there that night with the hunt of two of our kind.
The male and his bride went off and a frenzy which they so casually referred to as their honeymoon. Guess that beats going to the beach, but yes, I was fresh on their path and quickly gaining ground. They were about a block out of my reach, and I was moving pretty quick in my black sedan, which I so foolishly was conned into buying.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
So I was near, but a few meters, and I would have been upon their location; while I so casually abandoned the car in a rush, there was another car that was parked on the very road where I was headed. Not thinking much, I ignored the accidental presence and proceeded to hunt my prey.
But I was pleasantly surprised as I stepped into the warehouse to find two other men with my two Vampires; now, I would love to have said that it was their meal for the night. But there was something that did strike me as odd; they were cornering the two Vampires with daggers in their hands.
My first reaction was that I do not have to get my hands dirty, but then the anger set in that there are two humans running around in my city trying to kill Vampires. They were rather young but seemed quite experience. I don’t think the boys were even out of nappies, but they had great skill in their hands.
Then from the corner of their eye, they spotted me entering. Now, of course, they immediately know that I was a Vampire, and not having to put any doubt in their mind, they did aim what is referred to as a Colt, directly at where my dead heart was sitting. This enraged me even more, so as I do present myself often, I only but raised my voice a pitch louder and demanded they name themselves.
Then that is when my very first surprise came, and I should have noticed it by the Impala that was parked outside that I indeed had the Winchester boys in my presence. They needed not even have to introduce themselves. And here is where my paths crossed with Dean and Sam. Well, at this stage, in fact, for many years, they did try to kill me every time we had an encounter. It is only in recent years that we had started working together. Though Bobby still tries to kill me whenever the opportunity presents.
So here we are as a bunch of misfits hunting Roberto, and this is where I can say that Sam has no calm in taking his life, for he sees the Lecardes as superior Vampires and with Roberto consumed with this Evil, he is presenting himself as a big threat.
With a new determination, we are finding ourselves piling into two cars; of course, Dean does not want whom he calls Gandalf with him in the car, so Cassidy and our own dear Vampire Hunter are ahead, while Alatar is constantly checking Roberto’s location.
Now, I personally have had enough of hearing this word The Darkness; I am not leaving this car until one of these boys tell me what it is, “Okay, I have had fairly enough of being told that The Darkness, this great Evil has possessed my brother. Now can one of you clowns tell me what it is?”
“First of all,” Sam starts, “Just because you called me a clown, I will shoot you and your brother. And second, I don’t think you want to know.”
“Believe me, my friend, I do want to know. If it comes to me having to kill my own blood, I want to know why. Now, do you know what this is, or are you just as useless as that Wizard?”
“Well,” Dean is the one to start; in fact, even though Sam is more clever, Dean does not sugarcoat things. So let us hear what he has to say, “Your brother is creating an army; they are soulless, for he is consuming their souls. Now you know that you bloodsucker have no souls. Therefore you have no calm in slaughtering people.”
Then I immediately stop him, “Is this the same Darkness that Stefan was taken with?”
“No, Stefan was just some stupid Vampire that believed killing Vampires would give him power. What Roberto has, is the true Darkness.”
“You say that he is possessed with it? Is it a spell, or is it a demon?”
Well, as soon as Dean gets that wicked little smile on his face, I do know that I am not going to like it, yet he continues, “It is the oldest, the first demon ever created.”
Now that is enough to render me completely speechless, “Well, that explains the whole soul-eating thing, but why on earth has hell brought him here?”
Dean only but bursts out in laughter as he looks at me with a stupid smirk, “Food supply, new playground. Here he is superior, and your brother, well, I would not know how they crossed paths, I would say it was being in the right place at the wrong time.”
“Fair, we know what we are dealing with, so how do we get rid of it?”
“Yes,” I hear Sam mumble behind me, “Dean did sort of lost the Colt that will kill him.”
“What?” the echo of my voice fills the car with absolute horror, “How do you intend in killing this thing?”
“We will have to get it to leave his body and then trap him.”
I honestly am not getting the logic of these two, for there is one little matter, “What stops him from going into one of us?”
Well, Dean so casually pulls his shirt to the side to reveal a rather large tattoo, “This, my friend, this stops possession.”
I only but huff at him as I pull my shirt to the side, “Does it look like I have one?”
“Well,” Sam starts quite confident, “Then we have to kill all of you Vampires.”
“Oh yes,” I snap at him, “And what about the other Hunter and our dear Warlock?”
Yes, perhaps I should not have asked, for the chuckle coming from Sam does explain his outlook on this whole situation, but then much to my relief, Dean sets me out of my misery. “We are hoping with the strength of your Wizard and the two of us; we will manage to manifest a spell strong enough to trap him before he takes another vessel.”
“Fair then, let us find Roberto.”
Then just as I say this, Dean nearly rams into the Jacob in front of us. There seems to have presented a situation that we are rather not equipped for, if I may say. Here ahead lies a great number of the army that Roberto has created. I am going to assume that they are stalling us so that he can put some distance between us. So with somewhat of a worry, I look over to Dean, “Now what?”
And yet another word comes to the surface, and I wish these Hunters will stop coming up with these phrases that mean absolutely nothing to me, “Well, if you have founded your legacy, we might not be in this situation.”
“Okay, this is yet another thing that I wish no bullshit over; what on earth are you talking about?”
“That, my dear friend,” the words come rolling from the mouth of Sam that has now started to arm himself, “That is something that you will have to figure out, or perhaps find that page that is missing from the Book of Destiny.”
“My god, the words that you two come up with is enough to make me dizzy.”
Then…
BANG…
There is a loud thud and a great impact that pushes the car right to the side. As we glide off the road and onto the paving, with only but horror, we watch as a large group of Roberto’s followers is ramming the car. They are beating at the windows and tearing at the doors. It only takes but mere seconds, and we are completely surrounded.
As I look ahead before Cassidy disappears before my eyes, there is only but the terror that is filled in her eyes. Then I hear a door snap open; next, there are the screams of a woman.
