Chapter 101
Chapter 101
101 . Wouldn’t it be easier for me to kill her husband?
Jessie’s face instantly turned red, “Didn’t we only meet today? Wouldn’t the elders think that i t was too fast to talk about marriage so soon?”
“Talking with them is just a formality. The wedding is our business.” He threw the suit he took off into her arms. “Hang it on the hanger and bring me a set of casual clothes.”
Jessie was prepared to obey him on these matters in the future, so she did not say anything else. She got up and naturally hung his suit on the hanger. She opened the closet and took out a light gray casual cotton T-shirt and a pair of pants of the same color.
When Jessie turned around and handed it to him, she found that he was only left with a pair o fblack underwear.
She turned around with a swoosh and her face was as red as blood. “Why did you take off your clothes so quickly?”
Alex walked in front of her with long legs and took the clothes from her arms. “It’s not like you haven’t seen it before. Why are you so shy?”
Jessie had no choice but to see his well-proportioned body again. He had long and straight legs, wide shoulders, and a narrow waist. The muscles on his strong chest had explosive power. The perfect scene made her face even hotter. She covered her face and ran to the window.
“You also hid from me like this after we got married?” He had already walked behind her and extended a clean and slender hand. “Help me buckle this sleeve.”
“I didn’t dodge.” Jessie’s face was still red as she reached out two hands to buckle his sleeves.
After the buckle was done, Jessie could not help but look at his arms a few more times before letting go, “It’s done.”
Alex did not take back his hands, but looked at her mockingly, “Do you really like it that much?”
Jessie’s face was even more shocked. She raised her fist and punched him. “Who likes it? Narcissism!”
He deliberately put his strong arm in front of her, “You can touch it.”

In the study, Grandma Restall dialed Grandpa Rudolf’s number excitedly. “Alex and Jessie specially came to see you. Hurry up and come back! You can go to Restaurant and bring back a roast duck.”
After Old Madam hung up the phone, she saw Nanny Lisa had returned. “Did you buy prawns?
Last time in Tianji Residence, she saw Jessie and the two children had similar tastes and quite liked to eat big prawns.
“It’s too late now. I went to two supermarkets and they sold out all their prawns. I found some at a small supermarket. “But they’re not big.” Nanny Lisa showed the prawns in her bag to her.
“They’re so small. Send them to the kitchen first. Louis’s family seems to have relatives doing seafood business. I’ll call them and ask them to send some over.”
After Alex finished changing his clothes, he led Jessie downstairs and saw Grandma Restall personally carrying a large net bag full of prawns in.
Jessie hurriedly ran over, “Auntie, I will help you!”
“No need. You and Alex sit and watch the television for a while. The meal will be ready soon.” Grandma Restall smiled and carried her bag to the kitchen.
Jessie still wanted to rush to help but was pulled back by Alex. “Be more reserved!”
Did she not be reserved?
But she was still moved in her heart. She had been married to Mike for five years and Linda was half paralyzed. Usually, she would not even bend down to pick up a roll of tissue that fell to her feet. Instead, she directly ordered Jessie to pick it up.
In those years, as long as Jessie was at home, Linda was like the Empress Dowager and must order her around.
Jessie was already used to doing this. Later on, she thought that all the mother-in-law and daughter-in- law got along in this way.
After all, no wife was willing to work without dignity for the rest of her life, including Jessie. Most of the time, she was actually quite resentful towards Linda in her heart, but when she thought that she was her mother-in-law, she endured it.
But now that she saw what Grandma Restall did for her, Jessie finally understood that not all of the mother-in-law were like Linda and not all of the wives must treat their mother-in-law like the Empress Dowager…
When dinner was almost ready, Grandpa Rudolf carried a box of roast duck into the house.
Alex had been holding Jessie’s hand on the sofa in the living room watching TV. This kind of situation where she waited for food at her boyfriend’s house had never happened to her before and she felt a little uncomfortable. She wanted to go to the kitchen to help but Alex – held her hand tightly and did not let go.
When she saw Old Master Rudolf come in, Jessie was so nervous that she stood up. “Uncle, you are back.”
Wouldn’t it be easier for me to kill her husband?
Rudolf looked at her indifferently. He handed the bag containing the roast duck to her. “Take this to the kitchen.”
Jessie saw that Rudolf did not want to be polite with her and was so excited that her face turned red. She quickly ran over and used her hands to take the roasted duck before sending i t to the kitchen. Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
Alex looked at her excited expression and felt angry and pained at the same time.
Rudolf’s face turned cold again as he glanced at her. He looked at Alex and said, “Alex, come with me to the study!”
Alex stood up and followed him in. In the study, Old Master Rudolf sat in the chair and pondered for nearly a minute before speaking in a deep voice, “How long have you two been together?” Alex sat down on the sofa across from him. “I can’t remember.”
Rudolf snorted and asked again, “Half a year?”
*Dad, why are you always thinking about this question? I brought her back today so that she can go through the motions. We will handle other matters as we see fit. You don’t have to worry so much.”
Before he could finish his sentence, a wireless mouse came crashing towards him.
Alex was quick and nimble. He caught the mouse in time.
Rudolf slammed his palm on the table, causing the computer screen on the table to tremble a few times. “Answer me properly if I ask you. What kind of attitude is this? Marriage is not child’s play? You were born by me, why can’t I ask? Or did you really do something shameful and want to muddle your way through?”
Alex frowned. “Did I do something shameful?”
Rudolf stood up and paced around the desk a few times before he stopped. He stared at him and lowered his voice. “You fell in love with a married woman and have separated her and her husband, right?”
Alex sneered. “If I took a fancy to a married woman, how could I try to separate her from her husband? Wouldn’t it be easier for me to kill her husband?”
“You inhumane bastard!” Rudolf was furious. He grabbed a lamp and threw it at Alex.
When Rudolf heard the rumour at the golf course, he sent someone to check Jessie’s marriage situation. He found out that she was really divorced less than half a year ago. He calculated the time Alex and Jessie spent together, and with his understanding of Alex, suddenly, he thought of the possibility of Alex forcefully breaking Jessie’s marriage. He did not expect Alex to not refute a single word.
He really did not dare to believe that Alex would do something to seduce and force a married woman to do it, but at this moment, it was not up to him to not believe it.
With the current status of Laurent family, Alex could marry any kind of woman he wanted, but he used the advantage of his family to do something like this. Thinking about how outsiders might talk behind their backs, he felt very embarrassed.
This time, Alex did not reach out his hand to receive it. He only moved his body to avoid it.
The lamp broke on the ground.
“What are you doing now?” Madam Restall heard the sound and ran in. She closed the door again and ran to the back of the desk. She raised her hand and patted Master Rudolf’s shoulder. “My daughter-in- law is still outside. Can you not scold Alex?”
Rudolf pointed his finger angrily. “Look at what he has done! We should not have spent so much effort to save him when he was seriously ill. We might as well let him die!”
Alex’s face darkened. Without saying anything, he opened the door and strode away.
Madam Restall hit Old Master Rudolf again. “Are you confused? How can you say such vicious words?”
“If you don’t know anything, then don’t speak!” Rudolf also walked out.
Madam Restall, Old Master Rudolf, and Alex all went to the study room. Jessie had nothing to do in the living room. She took out her phone and was about to call Felix when Fia called her.
Her tone was mysterious. “Mommy, guess where brother and I are now?”
Jessie heard her crisp voice and all the uneasiness and nervousness were swept away. She gently smiled, “You guys are watching cartoons in the studio, right?”
Fia had told her more than once that there was a very large movie studio in Mountain and River Residence. She felt very comfortable watching cartoons and movies there.
“No, guess again.”
“Are you eating in the restaurant?”
“It’s still not right. Mommy, we are now on the way to Grandma’s place. Are you happy? Are you surprised?”
Jessie’s smile widened, “Really? Who sent you here? Driver Bart?”
“Yes, Mommy. We are almost at the door.”
“I will come out to pick you up!” Jessie quickly walked out.
Jessie passed by the garden and ran to the main door. They had already jumped out of the black car.
“Felix, Fia!” Jessie squatted down and hugged them. “Why are you wearing so little? Are you cold? Let’s quickly enter the house.”
Driver Bart greeted them and returned to Mountain and River Residence.
Alex had told him to only bring the children back to Mountain and River Residence. He didn’t ask him to bring them here, so he didn’t dare to stay here any longer.
“Why did you ask Driver Bart to send you here?” Jessie led them into the garden and asked with a smile.
Fia sweetly rushed to answer, “Because I miss you.”
“Mommy, in the future when you and my father go out on dates, It’s better not to tell us the address. She was very angry when she heard that you came to grandpa and grandma’s house to eat delicious food but did not bring her along. Housekeeper and the others had no choice. That’s why they agreed to let Uncle Bart send us over.” Felix sighed as he spoke. He looked like he really couldn’t do anything to Fia.
Fia gritted her teeth and roared, “Felix, if you continue like this… Even if you are my biological brother, I will still beat you up!”
