Chapter 555 Parent-Child Sports Event
It was soon the day of the parent-child sports event.
Many parents came to the kindergarten, some even wearing matching outfits prepared by the kindergarten in advance.
Symeon brought Dulcie to the kindergarten entrance, but Dulcie refused to go in and waited eagerly for Casey to appear.
“Alright, let’s not wait anymore and go inside. The event is about to start, and we need to change clothes.”
Symeon held her little hand, but Dulcie stubbornly stood still, constantly looking into the distance, hoping Miss Casey would suddenly appear.
“Please, don’t go inside yet. Miss Casey promised to come to this event, so she will definitely come. Let’s wait a little longer, Daddy. Don’t be so impatient.”
As she spoke, Dulcie kept looking ahead, her eyes shining with anticipation.
“Stop waiting. She would have arrived if she wanted to come.”
“No, Daddy. Let’s wait a little longer. Miss Casey said she would come, so she will definitely come.” Dulcie firmly believed that Casey would not deceive her.
That left the man speechless, but he had no choice but to accompany this little one and wait.
He didn’t react much to Casey not fulfilling her promise. After all, that woman didn’t have much of a good character. Otherwise, how could she abandon her own child?
So, it was normal for her not to keep her word, and there was nothing to be angry about. It was just that Dulcie seemed unable to believe that fact.
The parent-child sports event was about to start, and he even heard the teacher’s announcement on the kindergarten’s loudspeaker, indicating that it would start soon.
Forget it. This matter isn’t important. We can just forfeit.
The man stood aside, motionless, while watching his daughter. He wanted to see how strong this little one’s perseverance was.
Suddenly…
A gleam appeared in Dulcie’s eyes, and she happily shouted toward the distance, “Miss Casey, over here. We’re waiting for you here!”
Hearing her screams, Symeon looked up and saw Casey getting out of a cab and running toward them. looking very rushed.
“Sorry. I’m so sorry. I was a bit busy today, so I tried to finish my work before coming. I’m not late, am I?” She gasped for breath as she ran up to the father and daughter.
Dulcie shook her head. “No, you’re not. it hasn’t started yet, so we can still go inside now. I knew you would come.”
“I’m really sorry. Let’s go in, quick.”

“Forget it. It has already started. Let’s go home,” Symeon said.
But Dulcie stubbornly held the man’s hand. “Daddy! It’s just the beginning of the first game. Even if we don’t win the first one, winning all the games that follow will still be impressive. Let’s go inside. I told Aiden that I wanted my parents to come. Miss Casey agreed to be my mommy for a day. Why aren’t you being more proactive?”
She was getting frustrated, feeling like her father didn’t understand anything.
Symeon looked puzzled, even laughing at the situation. “What should I be proactive about?”
“Be proactive in calling Miss Casey your wife, or else the other kids at kindergarten will figure out that you’re pretending…” Dulcie pouted, looking like she was about to cry.
Casey sighed with compassion. “Alright, let’s go inside. Don’t worry, Dulcie, your daddy and I will do our
best.”
After hearing that, Dulcie finally smiled and happily skipped inside the kindergarten.
Then, Casey looked at the man beside her. “Why don’t you understand children’s feelings at all? She wants to prove to the other kids that she also has parents who love her, and today is a perfect opportunity.”
Her words were followed by silence.
“Let’s do our best today just to make Dulcie happy.”
Symeon didn’t say anything more and followed behind Dulcie into the kindergarten.
At the parent-child sports event.
The first game was almost finished.
Symeon, Casey, and Dulcie came out after changing their clothes. Meanwhile, the teacher from Dulcie’s class was almost going crazy from anxiousness when she saw them.
“Why did you come so late, Dulcie’s dad? The first game has already started. I was so worried. I tried calling you, but you didn’t answer. But… we need both parents to participate. Isn’t Dulcie’s mom coming?”
The teacher remembered that Symeon had mentioned before that the woman beside him was not Dulcie’s mom.
Before the man could speak, Dulcie spoke up first. “Miss Brown, this is my mommy. She’s my mommy!”
Seeing the teacher’s awkward smile, Casey explained with a smile, “Miss Brown, please help us keep this well-intentioned lie a secret. Children also have their pride.”
The teacher immediately understood what was happening and didn’t ask any further questions.
“Then, head over quickly. The second game is about to start.”
“Okay, we will do our best,” Casey smiled and waved to the teacher before walking toward their position.
However, she noticed that Symeon was staring blankly at something and followed his gaze to see Amanda wearing matching outfits with her son while feeding him some water.
<
Casey’s heart skipped a beat. She had almost forgotten that he and Amanda were in love and that Amanda’s son and Dulcie were in the same kindergarten.
Just then, Dulcie shouted at Aiden, “Aiden!”
Immediately after, Elias and Amanda turned their heads to look over. The two children quickly ran toward each other, whispering something that the adults couldn’t hear. However, the expressions on the adults’ faces were not pleasant.
Elias and Amanda looked at the two people in front of them and exchanged a glance, feeling incredulous.
“Are you lying to me, or is Casey lying to you? Didn’t you say Symeon wanted to strangle her? Now, she has become Dulcie’s mother and came to participate in the parent-child sports event?” Amanda. questioned.
Elias’ handsome face tensed up, and his tone sounded extremely displeased. “Who knows what their relationship is?”
However, Symeon walked over to them in a generous and natural manner. That left Casey with no choice but to walk over as well.
After all, the two children were in the same class.
Symeon looked at Amanda and asked, “Did you win the first game?”
“So what if we did?” Amanda didn’t want to talk to Symeon and subconsciously played with the mineral water bottle in her hand.
On the other hand, Elias unabashedly looked at Casey and asked, “What’s this? Why are you walking with someone who almost strangled you in the past? Are you trying to be his daughter’s mother? Are you out c your mind?”
These words were spoken without any politeness, almost to the point of cursing.
Casey hadn’t had an opportunity to explain yet when Symeon interrupted, saying, “Doesn’t this further demonstrate my irresistible charm? Also, you’re being too critical. How could I possibly strangle her in front of everyone? Evidently, you saw a beautiful woman and became so infatuated that I wanted to play the hero. Why are you defaming me?”
