Chapter 475
Chapter 475
Daisy was hanging around the bookshelf. Every time she left, she’d take a book with her. After a few
days, she’d return and put the book back in its place. It seemed like some sort of an unspoken
agreement between her and Frances.
Frances walked over to his desk, opened a drawer, and pulled out a deep blue box. Coming from a
family of jewelers, Daisy immediately recognized it as a jewelry box. She was raised amidst a pile of
jewelry, having seen all sorts of precious stones.
“This is an amethyst, not worth much Got it from a crystal mine when I was still in good health and
tagging along with a friend. I cut it myself and made a necklace out of it.”
Daisy held it in her hand. “Is this for me?”
Frances nodded, watching her reaction, fearing she might not like it, considering she’d seen tons of
these growing up. He felt quite crappy, not even having a surprise gift for her.
Daisy’s eyes were sparkling. “I love it, thank you.”
“That’s good.”
Daisy carefully placed the jewelry box in her bag, then she left the bedroom. Going downstairs, her
steps seemed lighter. During this time, she had developed a strong interest in Frances. Interest was the
beginning of liking someone. Maybe, being married into the Boswell family wouldn’t be so bad.
She started hoping Francés would get better. She even wished this time would last a bit longer.
A black Land Rover was parked in front of the Boswell residence. Wilton stepped out of the car, handed
the keys to a servant, and strode into the house.
His servants all bowed their heads in greeting. “Mr. Wilton.”
Wilton entered the living room, just as Daisy was coming downstairs. Their eyes met, and Wilton
immediately recognized her as Daisy: He slowed down.
Hearing a servant call out “Wilton,” Daisy looked up at him. This man looked so much like Frances,
they were practically identical.
She had heard that Frances and Wilton were twins, and their features were strikingly similar. However,
Wilton seemed more brooding than Frances, they both had dark eyes and high noses, while Frances
had a certain gentleness.
One was like ocean, the other like ice.
As Wilton was about to go upstairs, Daisy stepped aside to let him pass. He stopped and said in a
deep voice, “Ms. Daisy.”
Daisy took a deep breath. “Mr. Wilton.”
“Ms. Daisy, are you planning to leave?”
Wilton’s eyes were full of inquiry. Daisy felt like his gaze was trying to pierce through her, he was
seeing into her soul, and she felt a chill. She shivered slightly. Just in a few minutes, her goodwill
towards Wilton had vanished. “Yeah, Frances is about to rest, so I’m heading out.”
With that, Wilton shifted his gaze and headed up the stairs. Daisy took a deep breath, patting her chest
lightly.
Wilton reached the second floor, a smirk playing on his lips. He muttered to himself, “She’s already
using Francès’ name so familiarly. It seems Mina’s people really know how to play the game.”
He reached the third floor. John greeted him, “Wilton, you’re back.” This is the property of Nô-velDrama.Org.
“How’s Frances?”
“Ms. Daisy left already. Frances should be resting.”
