The Billionaire’s Maid Bride (Flanagan and Allison)

Chapter 497

Chapter 497

Sadie scanned her reflection in the mirror. A crowd of people were milling about her as if she were an

A-list celebrity.

Jay, can you after my eyeliner? I don’t want it this long,” she remarked, looking dissatisfied.

Jay appeared slightly uneasy. “The magazine specifically asked for this look. It’s supposed to be bold

and dramatic. You look great now, Sadie.”

“Really?” Sadie seemed skeptical.

Kendra chimed in from the side, “Absolutely, Sadie. You’re totally rocking this look. It’s got ‘leading lady’

written all over it.”

At that, Sadie chuckled. “I just don’t get why they’d have me come in with Allison for this shoot. Totally

kills the vibe. The whole ‘twin shoot’ idea is ridiculous. I’m the leading lady here, not

her.”

Jay frowned at Sadie’s blatant disregard for tact. The studio was far from quiet; surely Allison could

hear. Jay glanced over at Allison, who was busily scrolling on her phone while a makeup artist touched

up her face. She seemed unperturbed by Sadie’s remarks.

Kendra, never one to miss a chance to stir the pot, added fuel to the fire. “Why get worked up over a

supporting actress, Sadie? She’s not even in your league. Sharing a magazine shoot with her is like

charity work.”

Not just Jay, but also the assistant editor and the photographer looked displeased. Since when had

assistants become so brazen?

Emma gritted her teeth. “What do you mean by that, Kendra?” She wouldn’t stand for it, and marched

over to confront Kendra.

Kendra, hiding behind Sadie, didn’t seem fazed. “What could I possibly mean? It’s just the truth. Even

for a twin shoot, Sadie should be paired with the second lead, not a minor character. It’s downright

embarrassing.”

“Apologize to Allison!” Emma demanded, showing no signs of backing down.

Sadie watched the confrontation unfold. “Emma, my assistant is just stating facts. What are you doing?

Delaying the shoot?”

“Sadie, Epic Entertainment isn’t all about you. This movie isn’t a one-woman show. If you have Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

complaints about this shoot, take it up with your agent. You can’t just take Allison’s makeup artist and

threaten to quit if you don’t get your way. The diva here is you, Sadie. You’re the one disrupting the

shoot!”

The studio was filled with people from the magazine and commercial teams. As the argument

escalated, it became harder to ignore. People began to whisper and exchange glances. The deputy

editor frowned. Sadie was clearly not an easy talent to manage.

To Sadie’s surprise, Emma had the audacity to confront her publicly. She stood up abruptly, startling

Jay, who was in the middle of reapplying her lipstick.

*Emma, it seems you’ve forgotten your place. If you don’t want to work for Epic Entertainment

anymore, then leave. How dare you speak to me like that.”

Emma had tolerated Sadie long enough. This time, Sadie had publicly allowed her assistant to bully

Allison. Emma knew that Allison was kind-hearted, but she wouldn’t stand for this!

*Sadie, we are all part of Epic Entertainment. Your assistant, Kendra, owes Allison an apology! And

you, Sadie, need to take responsibility for your words!”

“And why should I apologize to her? She’s not worth it. And you’re nothing more than a lapdog, barking

for Allison.”
