Chapter 571
Chapter 571
“In Epic Entertainment, there’s no woman I can’t have. I don’t care who’s backing you up. Is it
Kenneth? What’s the point of sticking with that loser Kenneth? What can he even offer you? You should
be with me. I can give you everything.” As he spoke, he roughly grabbed Allison’s hoodie.
Allison was dressed casually in a hoodie and sweatpants that day. When Hudson tried to pull it off, it
didn’t come down easily. Frustrated, Allison twisted her body trying to break free. She hadn’t expected
Hudson to be so brazen, to dare to assault a female artist right in the heart of Epic Entertainment.
“Hudson, you lay a finger on me and I swear, you won’t have an easy time at Epic Entertainment!”
“Oh, listen to you, all high and mighty. Even Mr. Landry wouldn’t talk to me like that. What, did Kenneth
fill your head with promises? That jerk isn’t even fit to shine my shoes. Stick with me, and you’ll have
access to all the resources you could ever want. Your big-shot agent Patty has to show me respect.
You’re just a hooker on display, a plaything for other men. Don’t play the innocent with me.”
Hudson leaned in to kiss her. Allison resisted, twisting her neck as a wave of his foul scent hit her. She
grabbed the first thing her hand found — a glass tumbler — and hurled it at him. Hudson howled in
pain. “Damn, you bitch, how dare you hit me?”
The tumbler had struck Hudson’s back but didn’t break. Instead, it further enraged him. He yanked at

lust. “You are really hot.”
He inhaled deeply, savoring the faint scent of blossom on her. “Damn, you smell good. Just give in, and
you can have all benefits with me. You want a part in a big director’s film, a luxury brand endorsement?
It’s all yours. Forget about Patty. What can she offer you? Just take care of me, and your future will be
set.”
Allison bit her lip hard. “Hudson, if you touch me, you’ll regret it.”
Suddenly, there was a loud knocking at the door. Annoyed, Hudson barked, “What is it? Miguel, if
you’re interrupting me for nothing, I swear I’ll make you pay!”
Miguel’s voice was frantic from the hallway. “Something happened! There’s a fire!”
What?
Hudson stood up, not even bothering to pull up his pants fully as he rushed to the door. Smoke billowed
outside, its origin unclear. Hudson covered his mouth and nose. “It’s a fire, Mr. Sears! We must go. It’s
spreading!”
Hudson ran off with Miguel.
The smoke slowly invaded the office, choking Allison. She coughed and tried to sit up, using the
couch’s armrest for support. Despite her disheveled appearance, she was still decently clothed. She
exhaled a sigh of relief, astonished that Hudson would dare to do such a thing at Epic Entertainment.
She gritted her teeth and covered her mouth and nose, making her way out.
The smoke was thick and suffocating. She could barely see and found it hard to navigate.
Her phone was ringing incessantly. Allison answered, “Hello?”
“It’s me, Emma! Allison, where are you?”
“I just left Hudson’s office.”
“Wait for me. I’ll come to you. Don’t worry. The smoke’s not dangerous, just irritating. Find a corner and
stay there!”
About five minutes later, Emma arrived, steadying Allison and handing her a sachet of lavender to hold
under her nose, which made the air seem much fresher. Emma led her to the elevator. Allison was
confused. “Are we not supposed to use the elevator in case of a fire?”
