The Ceo’s Convict Wife

Chapter 1382

Although she was Calvin’s girlfriend, he had no feelings for her and didn’t even see her as a friend.

After wiping the tears from her face, Hanna got off the bus. She went to buy some groceries before going straight home.

But she didn’t expect to see Calvin when she walked to the door of her apartment.

He was standing in front of her door. At the sight of her, he stepped forward. “You are finally back. I will probably go to look for you if you’re not coming back.”

She bit her bottom lip and asked, “Can I help you, Mr.?” Her tone was polite but alienated.

Calvin frowned slightly. He was displeased with her tone.

“Well, I shouldn’t have yelled at you in the hospital today. I’m sorry.” He seldom apologized, but now he sincerely apologized to her.

Hanna was stunned because she had never thought Calvin would apologize to her. She raised her chin slightly and looked at him in a daze. “I-It doesn’t matter. I understand you were so worried about Rosalie back then.”

Calvin suddenly narrowed his eyes and cupped her chin with one hand. “Did you cry?”

Hanna was startled and wanted to look away, but she couldn’t because her chin was held by his hand.

She hurriedly made an excuse, “Well, I got sand in my eyes on the wa back.”

“I’m sorry,” Calvin suddenly said. This was the second time he apologi to her today.

“It has nothing to do with you,” she replied awkwardly, “Shall we go in?” Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

He withdrew his hand and replied, “Okay.”

She took out the key, opened the door and walked into the room.

“What would you like to drink? Tea, water, or coffee?” Hanna asked.

She sounded like she was receiving a guest.

“Water, please,” Calvin replied.

“Okay, wait a minute,” Hanna said, pouring him a glass of lukewarm water.

Calvin took a sip of water and said to her, “Do you mind if I stay for dinner?”

After being stunned for a moment, Hanna responded, “N-No.” Calvin used to eat the dinner she had cooked. “Please wait. I’ll cook right away.” With that, she was about to go to the kitchen.

“Wait,” Calvin said abruptly, grabbing her hand.

Hanna looked at him strangely, only to see that he rolled up her sleeve.

The scratches on her left wrist immediately came into his eyes.

She moved her wrist and wanted to withdraw it, but she couldn’t break free from Calvin’s grip.

“Sorry, I misunderstood you without knowing the truth,” he said.

Hanna smiled awkwardly. “You’ve already apologized to me.”

“Does it hurt?” Calvin asked, looking at the scratches. He suddenly thought of Amelia’s words that she had never cried or told them about this along the way.

“No. They will go away in two days,” Hanna replied.

“Did you apply ointment on them?” Calvin asked.

“No need,” Hanna replied, blinking her eyes.

“Do you have any ointment at home?” he asked again.

“Yes. I don’t think it’s…” Calvin interrupted her before she could finis sentence.

“Where is it?” he asked, staring at her.

Hanna had no choice but to take out the ointment. Calvin opened the lid and applied it for her.

When Calvin applied ointment on her wrist, she had a strange feeling. Her heart was beating faster and faster.

What was wrong with her? He did nothing but apply ointment for her. Why did her heart race?

She shouldn’t have a thing for Calvin. Because it was impossible for them to be together. Not to mention that he loved another woman.

Hanna told herself over and over that she should ignore Calvin. After Calvin had finished, she quickly withdrew her hand. “I’ll go prepare dinner.”

However, Calvin stopped her before she could leave. “Well, your hand got hurt! Let me cook dinner for you!”

Hanna’s eyes widened in surprise. Did she hear it wrong? Was Calvin going to cook?

The next second, Hanna saw Calvin take off his suit jacket, roll up the sleeves of his shirt, and walk into the kitchen.

He opened the plastic bag containing groceries she bought from the market and took out all of them one by one.

He washed the vegetables and meat, cut them, and started to cook them. Hanna was taken aback. Calvin was not just saying and he was indeed cooking.

When the dinner was ready, Hanna said awkwardly, “Thank you for cooking for me today.”

“Never mind,” Calvin said.

Hanna lowered her head and began to eat. For some reason, she always felt embarrassed while being with him.

Perhaps the scene in the hospital today helped her realize her place in his heart.

Calvin’s eyes flickered while seeing Hanna’s face burning in the could feel her alienation from him.

It was all his fault.

Jonathan said that he didn’t love Hanna and anyone could tell. Jonath and Amelia knew it. Then what would happen next? Would Rosalie fin out?

Calvin’s heart suddenly ached when he thought of Rosalie lying in the bed with a pale face.

He didn’t want her emotions to swing again, and he couldn’t let her discover that he had no feelings for Hanna.

“Are you willing to be my real girlfriend? “Calvin suddenly asked in a hoarse voice.

Hanna suddenly stopped eating and looked up at him, dumbfounded. “What do you mean?”

“I want you to be my real girlfriend,” Calvin murmured. “It’s not an act, but true.”

Hanna blinked. “Why did you suddenly say so?” She didn’t understand why he suddenly wanted their relationship to be real. “You don’t love me, do you?”

Even though he said that he wanted to be in a relationship with her, he didn’t look at her with affection.

“I don’t want Rosalie to know that we are in a fake relationship. Now she can’t afford to experience any emotional fluctuations,” Calvin said.

Hanna instantly understood and fluttered her eyelids. That was it. He made such a sudden decision because of Rosalie.
