The CEO’s Hidden Love Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires

Chapter 1364

Nyssa quietly shut the door behind her and made her way back to Dorothy with a mixture of hesitation and resolve in her steps.

"After wrapping up the morning meeting, Alaric and I decided to finalize the details for our site visit. The office was buzzing with too much noise, so we headed to the stairwell for a clearer conversation. That's when... well, we accidentally overheard your assistant, not sure who she was venting to, but she was definitely not singing praises about our company."

Dorothy paused, her eyebrows lifting in surprise, "Perdita?"

"Yes," Nyssa nodded, confirming. "That's her."

Dorothy's interest was piqued now.

Leaning back, she offered Nyssa a warm smile, "Take a seat, and tell me everything."

Dorothy was genuinely curious about how Perdita viewed Trust-E.

Encouraged by Dorothy's receptive demeanor, Nyssa continued, albeit with a bit of caution. She was worried about potentially stirring up office drama and possibly shooting herself in the foot.

"I missed the beginning of the conversation since she had been talking for a while by the time I got there. But I caught her saying that Trust-E was basically nothing without the backing of the Lopez Corporation. Without them, we'd be nowhere! Oh, and she went on about how you were just jealous of her capabilities, deliberately holding her back from projects to suppress her."

The more Nyssa spoke, the angrier she got, "She even claimed that Trust-E's promises of opportunities for newcomers and nurturing talent were all just a facade!"

Nyssa was out of the loop about any developments that might have occurred after the morning meeting, so to her, these accusations seemed completely baseless. However, Dorothy knew exactly why Perdita was venting.

It was all because Dorothy hadn't taken her along to Everglow City.

But as the company's CEO, wasn't it her prerogative to choose which assistant to take on business trips without needing to justify her decisions?

"Ms. Sanchez, if you have any

doubts, you could always check the

office surveillance. You might not. catch what she said, but it would prove she went into the stairwell. That should verify that I indeed

heard her bad-mouthing."

"I don't doubt you," Dorothy responded, her voice still gentle, betraying no signs of anger. "Nyssa, I appreciate you looking out for the company. I'll handle this. You can get back to work." "Alright." Nyssa stood up to leave, mumbling under her breath, "If she thinks Trust-E isn't a good company, then good luck finding a company that will put up with her."

Dorothy stood up to see Nyssa out of the office personally.

Once the door closed, Dorothy massaged her temples.

She knew being a CEO wouldn't be easy-juggling a multitude of tasks was one thing, but managing interpersonal office dynamics was another level of challenge that couldn't be ignored lest things turned sour.

Karen called just when Dorothy hadn't quite figured out how to deal with the situation. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.

"What's she thinking? Dorothy, you should fire her immediately! I can't stand people who spread rumors like that!"

"Perdita's new here. Firing her now would mean compensating her. I'm thinking about reassigning her instead."

Dorothy had never had to consider such matters before, but now, as the CEO, she had to keep the company's best interests in mind.

"If she dislikes Trust-E so much, why doesn't she just quit? Hold on, I'm coming over to your office to give her a piece of my mind!"

"Hey, no, no, no! With your current

health, you really shouldn't be

stressing yourself out." Dorothy was

genuinely concerned about Karen's impulsiveness. "Besides, this is just something an employee told me. Without any solid proof, if we accuse her and she turns it around on us, it could tarnish Trust-E's reputation."
