The Divorcee and Her Three Chaotic Children (Olivia Clarke and William)

Chapter 39

Chapter 39

At the hospital.

Because of the effect of the anesthetic, Olivia only stayed awake for a while before she fell asleep

again.

When she woke up, she wanted to leave the hospital in advance. But Reed stopped her and insisted

that she should stay in the hospital for 24 hours for observation after surgery.

Olivia also wanted to get better as soon as possible, so she agreed.

However, to prevent anyone from taking the opportunity to investigate the people around her, she

refused Reed and Gideon’s proposal to stay and accompany her.

“It’s just a good night’s sleep in the hospital. It’s not difficult!” she thought.

It just so happened that she was really sleepy after she had suffered for a whole night.

However, even with the help of anesthetics, Olivia still couldn’t sleep well.

She was lost in a whole ma** of dreams that made her feel sad and confused. In the end, she lost

herself in that sad parting.

She was trapped on a rainy day when William wronged her and abandoned her without a second

thought.

She could still clearly feel the pain in her stomach in her dream. It was so painful that she couldn’t

breathe.

The feeling of suffocation grew stronger and stronger. When Olivia woke up, she found that someone

was trying to suffocate her with a pillow.

She could not breathe because someone was trying to murder her!

This sense of danger made her awaken instantly. She struggled to find the fruit knife hidden under the

quilt next to her and stabbed it straight at the killer.

Although it didn’t hit him, Olivia managed to break loose and catch her breath. While the killer evaded

the knife, she successfully sat up and turned on the light.

She saw that the murderer was a man, but he was wearing a mask and a cap, so she couldn’t see his

face clearly.

“Wait, this outfit… It was the person who had tampered with my car before!”

While Olivia was thinking, the man took out a dagger and rushed toward her.

Each move was fatal.

Olivia also had some skills, but one of her arms was injured and her physical condition was not very

good, so she soon couldn’t withstand the attacks.

Seeing that Olivia was in a disadvantageous position, the killer became a little excited. He attacked

even more fiercely, as if he wanted to kill her as soon as possible.

Olivia didn’t have the strength to fight anymore. All she could do was to defend herself, and it was

getting more and more difficult for her.

The fruit knife in her hand fell to the ground with a clatter.

Then, the killer kicked her in the abdomen. Olivia was sent flying and hit the opposite wall. The wound

on her arm reopened and it was so painful that she broke out in a cold sweat.

Seeing her collapse, the man stepped forward swiftly with a dagger. Olivia wanted to get up, but she

had no strength. A trace of despair seized her.

Just when she thought that she was about to die again, someone grabbed the killer in front of her by

the collar and threw him backward.

The man flipped over in the air but landed on the ground.

He was really good at martial arts. He didn’t look like an ordinary killer.

After Olivia was rescued, she saw that the person who had saved her in the nick of time was William

“Mr. Kinsman?”

“Miss Clarke really has a lot of enemies!*

William said and his tone was full of sarcasm.

The killer did not seem to give up just like that. He fought with William again. When he saw all the

bodyguards of the Kinsman family, he fled in a hurry.

William had Marshall chase after the killer, while he turned around and went back to the ward. He

carried Olivia, who had fallen to the ground, in his arms

Olivia’s whole body was in pain, and the wound on her arm had split open. At this moment, she was in

a mess.

But she remembered a fact.

William saved her!

He actually saved her!

Back then, when she was pregnant and wronged, he didn’t even think about saving her child, did he?

Now that she had changed her identity and appearance, even William would act bravely for the sake of

justice.

How ironic!

“Miss Clarke, do you know who wants to kill you?” William stood by the bed and looked down at her

pathetic state. He watched the blood oozing from her wound. It was obvious that he did not intend to

call a doctor for her.

“I don’t know. Thank you for what you did just now, Mr. Kinsman!” Although her emotions were surging

inside, she quickly sorted out her thoughts to prevent William from noticing anything.

As Olivia spoke, she pressed the emergency call button on the wall.

“Miss Clarke, you really don’t know?” There was a meaningful look on William’s face.

Olivia didn’t know what he was thinking, so she could only choose to ‘tell the truth’.

“I don’t know, but I’ve only offended Mr. Kinsman and Gianna recently. If that person wasn’t sent by Mr.

Kinsman, then it must be Mr. Kinsman’s fiancée who wanted to kill me to vent her anger. Now,

shouldn’t you regret that you saved me just now?”

Olivia even tried her best to looked wronged.

William looked at her and his face instantly darkened.

Seeing that the atmosphere in the ward was getting colder, Olivia segued into a new topic.

“Mr. Kinsman, you came to the hospital so late at night. Were you just pa**ing by? Or did you come to

see me because you knew that I was injured?”

“My child is sick, so I brought him here for an examination. I didn’t expect to witness Miss Clarke being

a**a**inated.” William felt that this excuse was particularly reasonable.

Even if he didn’t bring a child with him!

He felt that the reason why he had to come was that he felt that this woman was suspicious.

In fact, he was inexplicably restless in his study at home. He came to the hospital to look for Olivia, but

he had inadvertently stumbled upon her almost being a**a**inated.

However, he would never let Olivia know the truth. Otherwise, this woman would think too highly of

herself and try to seduce him!

That was so annoying!

“Your child is ill? What happened?” When Olivia heard what he said, her heart was in her throat. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

Ezra had always been in good health. How could he suddenly fall ill?!

“Miss Clarke, you seem to be very concerned about my child.”

“Oh, don’t

you understand? It’s called ‘love me, love my dog’. Besides, I’ve seen Lucian. He’s so cute and now

he’s sick. What’s wrong with me asking about him?”

Olivia realized that she had almost been exposed just now, so she immediately acted coy.

*Luci is fine. He just had an allergy. Thank you for your concern, Miss Clarke.” As William spoke, his

suspicious and deep eyes were fixed on Olivia’s face.

It seemed that he wanted to see through her, understand her thoroughly, and then dig out her real

thoughts.

“It’s an allergy and treatment can’t be delayed. Have you checked the source of the allergy? Maybe he

ate something like ginger? Mr. Kinsman, you must make sure he gets a thorough checkup!”

Olivia was indeed anxious. Ezra had always been in good health. If it was an allergy, it must be a

hereditary issue, as she was also allergic to ginger.

She had been careless and had forgotten to remind Ezra to be careful.

However, did William realize that Ezra was not Luci?

Or could it be that Luci was also allergic to ginger because he inherited it from her?

Olivia couldn’t figure out the answer for a moment, so she couldn’t help but feel nervous
