The Imposter Bride (Natalia and Magnus)

Chapter 520

Chapter 520

“Look, just pull the records already. I'm telling you, he must’ve been harboring that vile woman, Gabby, who snatched my daughter. | need to find her," Magnus urged, striding into the police station with a mix of panic and determination.

"Your daughter? You've got a daughter, too? Man, how come you get all the good stuff? Can't you just let me have one kid? I'd help you raise them," Richard grumbled as he followed Magnus inside.

The guy had it all—a knockout wife, a genius son, and now a missing daughter. And what did Richard have? Nothing! "If you want kids that badly, find a woman to have them with!" Magnus retorted without a hint of sympathy. Richard pouted, "Where am | gonna find a lady like Natalia? | wish | could find a beauty like her."

“Back off! As if you could land a woman like my wife. You should be grateful if any woman gives you the time of day!" Magnus stormed into the records room, leaving Richard in a huff.

Richard, though peeved, went to fetch Grant's file for Magnus.

When Magnus found Grant's file, there was no detailed address, just a note about his background and recent activities. Finding Gabby would be like searching for a needle in a haystack.

By the time Magnus returned to the hospital, Natalia had woken up and was chatting with Jonas. The laughter and chatter between mother and son calmed Magnus' fraught nerves.

He entered the room, and as soon as he saw Natalia's improved complexion, he insisted they head back to Melfort. To their home, where she could recuperate properly.

With Jonas safe and sound, Natalia's spirits lifted significantly, and Jonas was allowed to stay home for a while before returning to school. So, that very evening, the three of them took a private jet and left the States.

Back in the UK, James arrived home from the States. He dusted off the travel weariness, only to find Angela, his wife, looking distraught and worn. "What's happened, darling? Where on earth is Vivian?" he asked, rushing over to her.

The sight of James had Angela running into his arms, sobbing, "James, Vivian's been gone for a day. We've searched the whole manor and found nothing."

James held her tight, trying to comfort her. "It'll be okay. Vivian is smart. She'll be alright." Though he said it to soothe her, deep down, he was worried.

Vivian had never left the manor grounds, and everyone there knew her, so it was unlikely that she'd be taken elsewhere.Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

After consoling Angela, James headed straight for the manor's security control room. He scrutinized every camera feed, but there was no sign of Vivian leaving the premises at any point during the day.

However, the garden held a secret, a hidden passage leading directly to the royal palace. This passage was a relic from a time when the kingdom had been betrayed by foreign interests seeking petty gains. They had plotted to assassinate the former Queen. It was through this passage that the former Queen had fled for her life.

James stood at the entrance, ready to brave the passage, when Angela caught up to him. "James, you can't go in there." "Why the hell not?" James was adamant. If his guess was right, Vivian had disappeared through this passage.

"No one but the reigning Queen is permitted through," Angela explained, her voice laced with unease.

"To hell with that! | need to find Vivian!" Ignoring Angela, James marched into the passage.

Left with no choice, Angela followed. Inside, a foul stench permeated the air, but James pressed on without hesitation.

After about half an hour, they emerged into the palace's back garden, where they were immediately confronted. "How dare you! Who are you to come out of the secret passage?" demanded a guard, his weapon at the ready.

James brushed the guard's arm aside. "Out of my way. Inform Her Majesty that my daughter, Vivian, is missing, and | suspect it's her grandson Michael who's behind it!"

Recognizing James and noting Angela's presence, the guard stepped back. "Please, Sir, return to your home. We have not seen your beloved daughter here at the palace."

Pointing at the guard, James demanded, "Tell me where Michael's quarters are!" Although Angela was the Queen's niece, she rarely entered the palace. James' direct entry from the passage was indeed a severe breach of protocol.

Reluctantly, the guard lowered his weapon and pointed to a palace across the way.

Angela pulled James into Michael's quarters, and as they entered, they heard Michael shouting furiously, "Did you hit me? You're dead!"

“And why shouldn't I? You're despicable and shameless, luring me with tales of a beach beyond the passage. You tricked me here and now won't let me leave. I'll show you!" Vivian's voice rang out clearly and defiantly.

James hurried forward and found Michael bound to a chair with Vivian lashing out at him with a riding crop.

Seeing her father, Vivian gasped, "Daddy!" She dropped the crop and ran into James’ arms. "It was Michael. He lied about the passage leading to a beach, and then he trapped me here. | waited for his guards to leave before | tied him up," Vivian explained between sobs.

James held her tight. "It's alright, princess. Daddy's here." He then glared at Michael as Angela hurried to untie the young man.

Furious, Michael glared back at James and Vivian. "You'll pay for this. I'll have granny punish you severely." After Michael stormed off, Angela clutched James' arm. "What do we do now, James?" James looked at her, his gaze resolute. "Don't worry, I'll handle it."

But before they could leave, Michael returned with a squadron of guards and surrounded them. James, holding Vivian close, faced them with a cold stare.

Angela stepped forward, protective and defiant. "What do you intend to do?"

"What on earth are you up to, Angela? Sneaking your beau through the secret passageways into the Queen's private chambers-y\ ae \fou-Stading a cOvp. ais this some sort of twisted rendezvous? James handed Vivian over to Angela and then positioned them behind him. His gaze turned steely as he faced the guards with their guns drawn on him.

"You think you can take me down? Dream on!" He said with a scoff, striding forward confidently. The guards began to retreat, step by step. "Don't move, or I'll shoot!" one of them yelled out.

With a swift kick, James sent the shouting guard flying, and in a lightning-fast move, he snatched a gun from the hand of another. “Bang, bang, bang!"

Before the guards could react, their weapons clattered to the ground, and they clutched their bleeding wrists in agony.

"Ouch!" Amidst their cries, James picked up the guns from the floor, eyeing the inept uards\ijth@isalr. ‘Eggsisier this bleSson. | hate having guns pointed at me. | was a crack shot while you were still in diapers. Do you think you can play this game with me?" Please read the original content at .
