The Invincible Arthur Gardner

Chapter 85 - Accelerated Learning

Chapter 85 - Accelerated Learning

"Ah, Mr. Cosmo, thank you for your generous offer," Arthur said, trying to be polite to the owner.

"However, I wanted to try it myself."

"But I'm the owner, and I am also a professional athlete. I'm sure I can be of assistance," Cosmo

insisted, his pride slightly wounded but still determined to demonstrate his expertise in the area.

Alicia then turned to Cosmo, boasting of Arthur. "Did you know this guy is better than anyone? He's

even better than a professional athlete!"

"Hush, Alicia," Arthur said.

He then looked to Cosmo. "Mr. Cosmo, I really believe I can do this myself. I don't want to trouble you.

It would be best if you left and allowed us to continue practicing alone, okay?" Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.

"Are you kidding?" Cosmo asked with a chuckle. "I don't mind if you don't want me to train, but saying

you're better than me is a bit of a stretch, don't you think?"

He shook his head at their audacity, wondering if they really knew who he was and his background in

shooting sports.

Alicia then felt annoyed due to the constant interruption and attempted to give the man a face slapping.

“Oppa, why don't you show this 'uncle' your skills? It's really bothering me that he showed up out of the

blue. Let's make him feel satisfied and have him leave this place quickly,” she suggested.

"What? Uncle you say? I'm not that ancient!" Cosmo retorted in annoyance.

"No..." Arthur shook his head. "We can't be arrogant, okay? Just let him go alone after this."

Cosmo's temper flared. "Why don't you show me how good you are?" he asked, his voice raised.

Arthur looked Cosmo in the eye. "Is it important?"

"Of course it's important," Cosmo replied. "You have belittled me, a professional athlete. And one more

thing, I believe you guys rented this place intentionally to have an affair, right? You don't want your wife

to get caught for playing with a young girl, am I right? But don't worry, I'm not going to report you. I'm

simply asking you to respect my abilities and accept my offer."

Alicia felt a wave of nausea wash over her as she heard Cosmo's words; she couldn't help but laugh.

"Ha ha ha. You're so funny, Uncle! Do you really think we're having an affair? Ha ha ha...I wouldn't

worry about telling his first wife about us - I'm sure she won't mind him taking a third wife, like me." She

said, barely containing her laughter.

Alicia then grabbed Arthur's arm and looked at him. "Come on, Oppa, show him. Show him that you're

really good at shooting."

"Come on, show me," Cosmo said, emphasizing his request.

"I'm a professional athlete with a variety of medals; I can give you some advice." He spoke with

confidence and great heart, trying to give Arthur the opportunity.

He felt that maybe he was the most patient person on the planet that day, despite being demeaned, but

he still tried to remain optimistic.

Arthur had no other option but to take the gun from Alicia, having felt his training session had been

disrupted. He pointed his gun at the target and, without even looking, he pulled the trigger.

Bang!

A loud explosion followed, and Cosmo looked at the target in amazement - Arthur's shot had hit the

mark without fail.

"What?!" Cosmo exclaimed in amazement, unable to believe his eyes.

"This must just be a coincidence, right? Hehehe..." Trying to stay composed, he let out a nervous laugh

in an effort to mask his awkwardness.

Bang!

Bang!

Arthur pulled the trigger of his gun multiple times, each time hitting the target without looking.

"What happened?" Cosmo asked, astonished. His disbelief was evident.

"Something like this only happens in the movies. It couldn't be real."

The employees watching from the control room couldn't believe their eyes; they all gaped and shook

their heads in disbelief.

"Did he use a trick?" someone asked, incredulous.

"What kind of tricks can he use to shoot? There's no such trick; he really did it without looking."

Someone else kept shaking his head nonstop, his amazement visible. “Is it possible that he is even

better than our boss?”

"I find this hard to believe," another replied, "but I think it's true."

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Arthur then shot successively, and each hit its target without even the slightest misses. He glanced

over at Cosmo, who was still standing dumbfounded with shock, not uttering a single word.

"Thank you for the offer Mr. Cosmo. May I now practice alone with this girl?" he asked.

Cosmo blinked repeatedly and slowly began to regain his senses. He turned to Arthur, his eyes wide

with disbelief, "Am I dreaming?"

He then stumbled away, forgetting even to say, "excuse me." He returned to the control room, where

his employees were equally astonished, all of them gaping in awe.

"Who is he? I've never seen anyone shoot so accurately," he said to his bewildered staff.

"Is he just using a trick, boss?" one of his men inquired.

Cosmo studied Arthur carefully and could immediately tell the difference between a professional and an

amateur. Arthur held the gun with a firm grip and didn't flinch when he pulled the trigger.

"No! Not at all. He certainly knows how to use firearms. I'm even wondering if he might be familiar with

other types of weapons besides handguns? He definitely looks like a pro," Cosmo explained.

"Looks like I said something rude to that guy; maybe I should apologize," he continued. "He's not only

wealthy, but he's also quite skilled at shooting," he continued.

As the clock struck noon, Arthur and Alicia put their practice on hold and settled into a corner of the

room to have lunch. The food had been specially prepared by the chef at the Golden Park Restaurant,

and although it was only simple boxed rice, they ate it with relish.

"Open your mouth, Oppa," Alicia said, handing him a spoonful of her food.

“Ah..” Arthur obediently opened his lips, and she fed him.

Alicia giggled as they savored their lunch.

"How am I doing, Oppa?" Alicia asked, her voice full of anticipation. "I'm quite talented in this field, am I

not?"

Arthur nodded, clearly impressed. "Unexpectedly, you are quite adaptable and you learn fast," he said,

his tone conveying his surprise at the girl's rapid development. "In such a short time, it seems you have

mastered the ability to shoot quite well."

[Host, I forgot to tell you something important, If you train those on your partner list, you will be able to

transfer your skills to them more quickly, provided they have talent in that particular area.]

[So that's why Ms. Alicia can quickly learn to shoot.]

[It's because she's your partner, and she's also talented at it. You can do the same with your other

partners.]

“Ah, really?” Arthur muttered in response to the system's words. "It seems that this is great news,

because it means I can help Edna and Claudina to develop new skills too."

Astounded by Alicia's rapid progress, Cosmo couldn't believe what he was seeing. "Did you say she

just learned how to shoot?" he asked his men.

"That's what they tell us, boss," one of them replied.

"I saw her struggling with it this morning and now she looks like a pro. How did this happen?" Cosmo

said, astonished.

He watched as Alicia hit the target time after time and felt a wave of disappointment. With a heavy sigh,

he realized all the years of practice he had put in seemed to have been for nothing.

"I don't feel so good. I think I'll head home," he said, as he made his way out of the building and

towards his car.

Upon seeing Arthur's luxury car, he murmured, "What a lucky man."
