Calvin took a deep breath before adding, “She is near. I’m going near her.”
“Why are you disturbing her? Maybe she wants to stay alone?”
“Because I’m free, and I have no other work than disturbing her.” Calvin grinned, on which Zordan shook his head in disbelief. “By the way, enjoy your Saturday and Sunday with your mate because, from Monday, you will have new work for you.”
“What’s that?”
“To find that bitch.” Calvin said and started running in the direction in which Ethlyn was all alone. He realized that Ethlyn was forgiving and could forgive her mother and her so-called half-sister, but he wasn’t like her. He would do the same to her that she did to Ethlyn.
Call him a villain, but he didn’t care. He swore to destroy Elena’s life for sure.

“Ah!! I thought you would be planning for a party.” Calvin commented when he saw Ethlyn sitting near the lake. Ethlyn didn’t turn her head toward him. So, Calvin went near and sat beside her, wrapping his arms around her shoulder. “What happened, Cinder? I thought you would be happy thinking now that the whole truth is out, and now you can mark me.”
All of a sudden, Cinder started fighting for control with Ethlyn. That was the best thing about any animal; they couldn’t stay away from the people they loved no matter what their mood would be.
In the next moment, Cinder hugged Calvin, resting her head on his chest. Calvin kissed her hair, caressing her arms.
“My human is hurt. That was why I couldn’t think about the positive part of this whole thing.” Cinder muttered.
“But why is she hurt? She should be happy that now no one will say tag her characterless or a cheat. She, too, wanted to get her name removed from all this, isn’t she?”
“No.” Cinder shook her head. She tried to speak further, but Ethlyn started fighting to keep her mouth shut, but Cinder overpowered her. “She didn’t want to do it by keeping her mother’s reputation at stake. Because she thinks that no one knew about the existence of her older sister until now because her grandparents were equally shocked. Maybe dad knew.”
“Or maybe not? Who knows what are the things that your mother has kept hidden from everyone?” Calvin muttered. “Only Moon Goddess, what else she would have done in her young…..
“This.” Cinder cut him in between. “This tone. She didn’t want others to use this tone for her mother.” Cinder pointed out, looking at Calvin while he was shocked to hear this. “So, can you please just not talk about mom in this way?” she requested.
Calvin’s jaw dropped, hearing this, and he kept looking at Ethlyn’s face as if she was an alien. “Whatever happened with her and whatever her sister did in the past. It all happened with her; she didn’t want any third party to speak anything about it.”
“Third-party? I’m the father of Rose. So, I have the right to speak.”
“You have the right to speak in any decision related to Rose.” Ethlyn snapped, pushing Calvin away. Calvin fell on his back on the grass and peered up at her with hooded eyes. “You’re no one to give your opinion on my mother’s character and whatever she did. It’s between mother and daughter.” She said in pure anger. Calvin wanted to speak again when Ethlyn shut his mouth again.
“Speak only when everyone is perfect, and never did anyone take the wrong step with your family members because I, too, have a mouth,” Ethlyn warned. Calvin couldn’t utter a word hearing her because he knew how his dad betrayed his mother by breaking her trust completely. He knew how his mother got pregnant with her boyfriend and had married his dad to hide the secret of her pregnancy from her family members.
Ethlyn stood up on her feet and was ready to leave from there to sit somewhere silently, someone where no one would disturb her.
“Where the hell are you going?” Calvin growled.
“Away from you,” Ethlyn replied. Calvin quickly stood on his feet and rushed toward her, grabbing her waist from her back. A current ran all over Ethlyn’s body, and when his hand touched her naked waist because of the design of the dress that she was wearing. She was about to yell at him when she sensed someone around. Since it was an open area, then anyone could be there.
And the last thing she wanted to do was shout at the Alpha of the pack in front of anyone. If he never let anyone speak against her and how could she do anything because of which, Calvin would become the talk of the pack. “What do you want, Alpha Calvin?” she asked calmly.
“I want you to stay,” Calvin said, not understanding the change in her tone. His eyes landed on the mark on her neck, which was screaming loudly that she was his. He softly pressed his lips at his mark, and in no time, Ethlyn’s heartbeat quickened. Calvin took a deep breath of his favorite scent from the day Roselet came into his life before speaking. “I promise I won’t touch that topic,” he added.
“Okay,” Ethlyn agreed because until when she could run away from him. In the end, she might have to share the same room with him at night. Moreover, Calvin just promised that he wouldn’t touch that topic then. There was nothing to be mad at him, right?
A minute passed, but Calvin didn’t let her go from his arms. That was when Ethlyn whispered softly, “We can sit just like our previous position rather than standing.”
“Hmm, yeah!!” Calvin said, stepping away from her. ‘Stupid, one-sided bond.’ He cursed mentally.
They silently sat beside each other, but unlike previous times there was a slight gap between them.
