“Now, I really wish that woman would have been me. In that way, I would have a daughter of your age. Of course, that would have cost your absence from everyone’s life.”
“What do you mean?” Roselet asked curiously.
“Nothing. It’s a big people stuff; you won’t understand.”
“I will. Calvin says that I’m the most understanding daughter in the whole world. So, speak up. What do you mean by that?” She demanded.
“Okay, if you insist. What I meant is that your daddy and your mommy shared a room together in their drunken state, and you’re the result of that mistake that neither of them wanted to commit in their conscious mind.”
“But… daddy told me that I’m a gift from Moon Goddess.” Roselet’s voice broke, and she was ready to cry.
“I’m sorry to break this to you, Rose. But just because you asked me the truth, I have to say this that you’re a mistake, neither a gift nor a pup made out of love. That’s the reason your other grandparents got rid of you just after you were born and left you outside the pack in a box.”
“And Alpha Calvin had to keep you with him against his wish because his parents forced him to raise you; otherwise, you’re an unwanted pup in both your parents’ life.”
“You… you’re lying,” Roselet said, wiping her tears. There was no way she was unwanted. Her daddy never let her feel that way, or she felt to understand his feelings for her.
Was she really a mistake?
“I don’t have any reason to. Moreover, these are the things that your daddy told me on his own. He told me how he had to sacrifice his happiness, his mate, because of you and for a long how he had to suffer for the mistake that he had committed back then.”
“But I… I never asked him to… sacrifice his… his happiness for me.” Roselet cried. Not able to handle all these things. “I… always… wan.. wanted his happiness.”
“But he will always have to unwillingly because of you; otherwise, your grandparents will cut their ties with your father. If you really love and want your father’s happiness, then I will suggest you leave.”
“Le.. leave?” Roselet hiccuped.
“Yes. Because you’re the reason behind all the tension and stress in your father’s life, imagine how amazing his life would become without you. He doesn’t have to work three shifts. In the human world, then in the pack, and then around you.” Hearing this, Roselet recalled how tired his father used to get by the end of the night that he most of the time used to sleep on her bed while telling her bedtime story.
“Neither he has to spend life with your mother, whom he doesn’t like. Just like he and his wolf wants to stay with his mate.”
“Alpha Calvin is suffering because of you. If I would have been you, then I would have left my father for his happiness. You can do that same if you really love him.”
Chloe leaned toward Roselet and looked into her eyes, trying to control her mind, which was damn too difficult because of the flowers.
“You have run away from here.” She ordered her. Roselet nodded her head and ran out of the room. ‘Problem solved.’ She thought mentally and really hoped that Roselet would be able to leave the pack even in the presence of this tight security because her spell wasn’t that strong, and Roselet would be out of it anytime.
‘Even I should leave because my truth will be out in any minute if that little pup would end up opening her mouth in case she couldn’t run away. Or what if Ethlyn recognizes me?’ Chloe thought and started leaving the bed. She grabbed her belongings and really hoped in her mind that her plan would work.
At the same time, Lemieux walked inside, looking for Roselet. Calvin mind linked him to get her after he had reached the elevator in anger, telling him that Roselet was still in the pack hospital.
“Is Rose here?”
“No. She ran away just a minute before.” Chloe replied and watched him leave. ‘No one can save me if anyone from the pack will get a hand on that pup.’ She gulped her saliva in tension and left the room in which she was and looked around to leave.
Before she would have walked out of the hospital, she heard a loud roaring howl of a wolf; a shiver ran down her spine when she realized that it was an Alpha’s howl.
‘Does that pup successfully sneak out of the pack?’ She thought, and a smile appeared on her lips. She quickly dialed the number of the hunter’s leader.
“Hello, It’s me, Chloe. The princess of the pack is somewhere in your land. Alert all your hunters. Once you will get her, the killer of your son and the Alpha will be begging in front of you.”
“In which direction she ran from the pack?”Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
“I don’t know. You might have to search in all three directions of the pack.” Chloe said before disconnecting the call. After disconnecting the call, she looked around and found all the pack members in the hospital glaring at her.
‘Holy shit! I was talking to the hunter in the corridor.’ She realized her mistake that she ended up doing in excitement. In the next second, she received a punch in her punch.
“Aahhh!!” She fell on the floor and looked up at the person who had attacked her.
