The Rejected Luna: Daddy, Where is Mommy?

57

The warriors started getting worried when the pups didn’t return even after an hour more. So, after discussing it between themselves, a group of warriors left the pack in search of them and was shocked to find them in this state in the hunter’s area.

Lemieux went and brought Roselet with him at the time of the funeral because those pups were her friends as well as she should keep learning how an Alpha acts and behaves at the time of the funeral by watching him.

“Calvin,… if.. if I would ha.. have gone to… play wit.. with them then thi…thiss wouldn’t have hap…happened.” She said, crying bitterly. “Be.. because Lemi s.. stays near.. near me.” She added, hugging Calvin.

“Don’t blame yourself, love.” He whispered softly, caressing her back. “I know my daughter would have gone to play with her friends if she would have any idea that this could have happened. So that Lemi would have been you to protect everyone.”

Roselet stopped crying, listening to this, and nodded her head, indicating that he was right. She would have done the same and then looked at the parents of those pups who were crying too.

“Calvin put me down,” Roselet said, on which Calvin did the same and was her daughter walking toward her other friends. She stopped them from crying, too, and then walked near those parents with all her friends.

“Mom, please don’t cry.” She said, wiping the tears of Alexia’s mother. “My daddy won’t kill everyone who did this to my brothers and sisters.” She added, hugging Alexia’s mother.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Eva, Alexia’s mother, hugged her back and started crying, holding her. Roselet’s friends copied her and tried to calm down the mother and fathers of their parents.

Ethlyn couldn’t help, but her respect for Calvin as father increased a lot in her heart for raising their daughter in the best way. She could bet that even Roselet’s maternal Grandparents couldn’t raise Roselet this well.

Roselet stared at her black clothes. She used to love wearing black, but today she knew she had got ready in black to attend the funeral of the pack.

“Ready?” Ethlyn asked her, to which she pointed toward the zip in the frock.

“Where is Calvin?” She asked.

“Your daddy is busy, dear,” Ethlyn replied. “An Alpha has a lot of things to do in such a situation.”

“Oh,” Roselet mumbled, nodding her head.

After a while, they reached the ground where they had asked to arrive.

“Evening, everyone. I wish we were meeting tonight under a different situation.” Calvin spoke, and his voice rang all over the area because of the pin drop silent. He looked at the faces of all the pack members, gathering strength to continue because it was the hardest thing that he had to face as Alpha. He had lost a lot of warriors but never did pups targeted.

“Seven innocent pups of the pack are brutally killed by the hunters. Although they were just pups and didn’t contribute to pack development, but it had a huge impact on us because they were the future of the pack. We lost nieces, nephews, friends, sons, daughters, granddaughters, and grandsons that can never be replaced or forgotten. Tonight, we will bid them a final goodbye and pray to Moon Goddess to give them the peace they deserve. We will also pray to send them in one or the other form.” With this, he bowed his head slightly, respecting the soul of the pups.

Following him, everyone did the same, and then one by one father of those pups came forward and placed the bodies in flames. Once again, the cries of the families filled the silence.

This was the second time when Calvin was facing the same situation, last time, he managed to sign the peace of treaty with the hunters because he wasn’t powerful to defeat them completely, neither were they powerful even to wipe out the whole pack, not when Calvin had Caroline, a witch by his side. But it was the incident of twelve years back.

All the wolves howled loudly for a long time, expressing their pain.

“We have to find the exact location of the hunters, and this time, I won’t be signing any peace of treaty but just wipe them from our life,” Calvin said in front of one of his best spies. “They can’t come inside our pack because of the shield around the pack made by Caroline, but that part can only keep us safe; it won’t sort the problem.” He said and pointed toward the map. “This whole area belongs to hunters.”

“You need to enter their area, and the fact that you are human is the benefit to you. I don’t care what method you will use. Act to fall in love with a woman who is a hunter if required, but I need each and every information of that hunter’s group.”

“You’re the best in your work, David, so I won’t suggest how to do your work, but just don’t end up making any woman pregnant to get this job done,” Calvin warned.

“Don’t worry, Alpha. I give you my words; this matter will be permanently solved before Christmas.” David Fincher, a human born from a human father and werewolf mother, was used to being treated weak and useless all his life just because he was a human until he realized that even the fact that he was a human was a boon in a lot of cases.

“Hmm. Just don’t get caught.” Calvin advised, and once he left, Calvin looked at Zordan, who was looking at the sketch of that woman.

“You have to scan that sketch and send it to the Beta of the pack all over the whole,” Calvin said, on which Zordan glared at him.

“Like seriously? You should at least have asked her name or from the pack she was.” Zordan muttered, looking at that woman.
