Chapter 898 Cursed Violently
Chapter 898 Cursed Violently
"I-I'm having dinner with a friend," whispered Yulia. "You should've called me before you went to my house."
Hillary cut her off impatiently. "Just come back quickly. I have something to discuss with you!"
She was standing outside Yulia's apartment at the moment. Beside her stood Kendall.
They came to give Yulia a last warning, but they didn't expect that she wasn't at home.
Hillary glanced apologetically at Kendall and covered her phone, whispering, "Please wait a moment. I'll make sure she comes back!"
He was holding a bouquet of roses as he answered her with a faint smile, "There's no rush."
Despite his words, he was starting to lose patience.
She immediately spoke loudly into the phone. "Yulia, you have ten minutes. You'll face the consequences if you can't make it."
"Hillary, I-I haven't eaten anything..." Yulia protested. "Is it something urgent? Can I at least finish my meal before I go back?"
Kingsley's expression hardened at the sight of the troubled look on her face. Who is Yulia talking to? They didn't even let her finish her meal! How dare they boss her around?
His tone turned cold at the thought. "Miss Ansley, who's on the phone?"
As soon as the words left him, Yulia's face turned pale. On the other end of the phone, Hillary exploded with anger. She yelled at Yulia, "Yulia, where are you now? I swear I heard a man's voice!
You shameless girl! You refused to meet Mr. Lawson when I asked you, but you dare to sneak out for a tryst with another man!"
Her shrill voice pierced through the phone and reached the other end. Kingsley and Yulia were only sitting across from each other, and he heard everything.
Trembling under Hillary's anger, Yulia instinctively hung up the phone. But a few seconds later, her phone started to ring again.
"Give me the phone. Let me answer it for you." Kingsley reached out his hand as he furrowed his brows. "Let's see what else she has to say."
Yulia shook her head. "I-I don't want to make you a part of this."
He looked at her intently. "Putting aside our relationship, I saved you twice. You can trust me."
Her heart skipped a beat as she stared into the pair of light brown eyes. Somehow, they convinced her. As she handed her phone to him, she whispered, "Here you go..."
Once he took the phone, he immediately answered the call.
Before he could say anything, a harsh voice reached him. "Yulia, you have a death wish! How dare you hang up on me? You're a loser, and you know it. You're nothing but trash without me. You'll never become famous in this lifetime. I don't care where you are or who you're fooling around with. I'm asking you to come back right now. Mr. Lawson wants to see you."
She spewed those harsh words like a machine gun, hardly giving Kingsley any chance to interrupt. After she finally finished speaking, he coldly replied, "And who are you?"
Hillary was taken aback when she realized that a man was on the other end of the line.
"Who do you think you are?" she bellowed after a few seconds. "I warn you, stay away from Yulia. She was made for the international scene. A man like you isn't worthy of her. She belongs to Mr. Lawson. If you don't want to get on his bad side, you better stay as far away from her as possible." All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
Mr. Lawson? Kingsley frowned. Could it be Peter Lawson?
Before he could ask, Hillary demanded, "Kid, give the phone to Yulia. Tell her to come home within ten minutes! Otherwise, she'll have to pay the breach penalty."
