Chapter 126 Fatherless Bastards
Caroline picked up the call hastily. “Hello?”
Alice said, “Will you please come to the school now, you Ms. Shenton? This is the situation. Liora got into a fight with a boy, and she scratched his face.”
Caroline’s heart was racing. “How about Liora? How is she?”
Alice said, “Liora is fine. Don’t worry.”
Caroline said, “I’m coming over now.”
After ending the call, Caroline hurried to the kindergarten, which was just a 15–minute car ride away from her company.
Swiftly, she went to the teacher’s office, where she immediately heard a woman’s scolding voice
at the entrance.
“What sort of student do you enroll in your school? How could you enroll such an uncultured child? I demand a justification for this incident and want compensation from her parent!”
Mockingly, she muttered, “Fatherless bastards!”
Caroline walked into the office with a cold expression and clenched fists.
A slightly chubby woman sat on the sofa, holding her son overbearingly. The boy’s face bore two bloody scratches.
The teacher stood by, apologizing repeatedly.
Liora and Tyler confronted the woman, silently staring at her.
Liora’s eyes were teary, and her fists trembled.
Noticing Caroline, Alice hurriedly approached her and announced, “Lia’s mother is here!”
Liora and Tyler turned their heads and saw Caroline. Liora burst into tears, exclaiming, “Mommy, I’m not a bastard! I’m not!”
She pointed at the boy, sobbing and shouting, “He started the bullying first! He called the other boy who looked just like Tyler abnormal and claimed he looked like a madman.”
Caroline understood the situation after Liora’s explanation.

Caroline got down on her knees and gently wiped Liora’s tears with tissues.
Caroline said softly, “Lia, I know you did it to help someone. That is great, and you deserve to be praised. However, there are many ways to help a person. Hitting someone is not the way. What do you think, Lia?”
Liora sobbed. “I know I was wrong, Mommy.”
Caroline picked up Liora and patted her back before she looked toward Tyler and asked, “Ty, did
you apologize on behalf of your sister?”
Tyler’s eyes were cold. “I did, but his mother isn’t very pleased with that.”
Caroline nodded, caressed Tyler’s head, and stood up. She looked at the woman and said, “I’m very sorry, madam! I will pay for the medical expenses because my child injured yours.”
“The medical expenses won’t be much!” The chubby woman hit the table in rage. “My child is emotionally traumatized!”
Caroline looked at the boy, engrossed in playing a game on the phone. He did not seem emotionally traumatized at all.
She chuckled. “What would you like to do then?”
