Chapter 93 Love Triangles
Indeed, money is never the issue for them.
Both Harry and Samuel were wealthy, therefore they wouldn't have an issue in the future.
"Since my husband is rich, I should make use of his money and have several gigolos for fun?" Lola
remarked and the room erupted in laughter. The mood was finally light and happy. Ella gave Daniel a Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.
strawberry toy that was beside him, but he threw it away with a disgusted look on his face.
Ella was surprised by the boy's sudden move and thought it to be rather cool.
"I agree" Harry mused.
"Since we are planning our children's futures, I might as well give birth to a daughter that Daniel can
marry?" Ella remarked, holding Daniel tightly in her arms.
Samuel looked at Ella, an evil glint in his eye. Ella looked up at Samuel, and her body visibly sank into
the sofa as if to make herself look smaller. She knew all too well what that look symbolised- "the
punishment."
Lola noticed this interaction and moved closer to Ella. "What is it? Why is he looking at you like that?
Will everything be okay?" She wanted to find out if Ella will be okay. She didn't like what was
happening.
With Jerry in his arms, Samuel stood up and put Daniel in Lola's arms. Then he placed his son where
Daniel was. He caught Ella by the elbow and prompted her to stand up.
"Thanks for taking care of my wife and son these past few days. We'll go home now." And with that,
they walked towards Samuel's car.
Lola was about to object but Harry held up his hand to stop her. Lola succumbed and escorted them to
their car. Standing by the main door, Harry, Lola and their children looked on as Samuel and his family
entered their car. Ella looked back at Lola and said, "I'll call you tomorrow. Thank you."
"Okay! You are more than welcome to come here if you want. My door is always open." After saying
those words, Lola waved them off.
Ella pulled down the window and responded. "Of course! Goodbye."
"Bye!" said Lola.
Both husbands were angry with this new development, Samuel more so than Harry.
They are annoyed by the fact that their wives are more close to each other than to them.
Half an hour later, they arrived at The Old House.
Upon seeing Ella and Jerry, Melody run to the door to welcome them home.
"Finally you have come back. Oh, how I have missed you, come here you two." Melody embraced them
both. She took Jerry in her arms, and proceeded to the living room.
Melody glanced at Samuel for a second and noticed his sullen expression. She wasn't sure how to
tackle the situation. So she opted to occupy herself with Jerry. Ella changed her shoes and proceeded
to the kitchen.
It was time for dinner.
Soon after, Vincent and Viola arrived also. They all sat down to share a meal.
They were delighted when they saw Jerry.
Ella and Samuel sat on opposite ends of the dinning table, each in their own world.
After finishing dinner, Melody ushered Vincent and Viola to the living room. Samuel followed suite. Ella
excused herself and went outside with Jerry in her arms. She wanted to take a walk and clear her
head.
Jerry fell asleep soon after, forcing Ella to cut her walk short. She needed to place Jerry in his cot so
that he could sleep.
Just as she opened the door, she heard Viola's voice coming from the living room. "I saw Emma
yesterday. I felt sorry when I saw the bruises on her face. I can't believe Ella did that. How can you
stand her? Do you know how heartbroken Emma is?"
"I did ask her to apologize to Emma but then, she got upset and took Jerry, disappearing from home for
three days!" Samuel responded, his voice almost a whisper. "That's just disrespectful!"
Do you know Emma is still waiting for you? She cries and tells me that she still loves you. Don't you
love her anymore?" Viola was the opposite. Her voice was loud and she didn't care if Ella could hear
her. She sat there and waited for Samuel's answer.
"What if I still love her? Nothing can happen between us. I am a married man." Samuel's voice
sounded impatient but clear.
Ella stood still as thoughts raced through her mind. It was because of me and Jerry that he refused
Emma, even though he still loved her. Ella thought.
"You can still be with her. Divorce Ella, and marry Emma. Anyway, Emma loves Jerry too. It's a match
made in heaven."
"Mom! ..."
"Ella, why are you just standing here?" Vincent's voice boomed behind her. Ella didn't realize that
Vincent was also outside.
He was loud enough for Viola and Samuel
To hear so the living room went silent.
Vincent placed his hand on Ella's back and pushed her forward towards the living room. Ella felt glued
to the ground, her mind numb from thoughts and her heart bleeding in pain.
"What's the matter?" Vincent frowned as he noticed Ella's pale face.
Her breath became shallow and she felt that she was about to faint. Her world was closing in on her.
Run Run Run. The words looped in her mind until she couldn't do anything but obey them. She gave
her son to Vincent and prepared to run outside.
The door was closed, so she struggled to open it, as tears fell from her face.
The door finally opened, but she couldn't run. Samuel had caught up to her and was holding her from
behind.
However, mustering all the strength, she wriggled free and kept running.
Lightning suddenly lit up the sky, followed by a thunderclap.
However, Ella run, oblivious to the change in weather. Samuel caught up to her. "Ella, stop. Come back
to the house."
"Samuel, just let me go!" Ella's shouted at Samuel, attracting many passers-by's attention.
"Please let me explain."
"You don't have to. It's all my fault. I took advantage of you in a moment of weakness and got pregnant.
I ruined your relationship with Emma." She couldn't breath. She felt a deep sense of desperation.
It began to slightly drizzle. Hearing Ella's words, Samuel frowned and begged "Please, let's go home
and I'll explain. Please."
Samuel reached out and grabbed her by the waist. But Ella squirmed a few times and even sank her
teeth into Samuel's arm. But he fought the pain and held on.
"I don't want to go back to the old house! I promise I'll divorce you, so that you can be with her. Just let
me go now." Ella didn't want to live such life anymore. He loved another woman and besides, his
mother-in-law didn't like her at all and hoped they divorced as soon as possible.
As his phone rang, Samuel didn't pay attention to it. But it kept ringing. He held Ella with one arm and
retrieved his phone with the other. "Hello." He finally answered the phone in a impatient voice.
Making use of this chance, Ella extricated herself from Samuel and took a couple of steps back,
preparing to run again.
"A car accident?" He didn't speak loudly but Ella could hear him. Immediately, her anger dissipated.
"Call Catherine, her sister, this has nothing to do with me. It's none of my business." Their eyes locked
and Ella could finally see it. His love for Emma.
Drizzle turned into heavy rain, and by fate's chance Ella's phone began to ring too.
She stared at Samuel quietly. "I'll be there." He responded to the other person on the line and hang up
his phone.
Samuel walked to Ella. "Wait for me at home, I need to go to the hospital now. My... friend has had an
accident and they are unable to contact any of their family members. Please Ella. Don't run away
again. Wait for me."
The rain drenched their bodies. Ella reached out and gently touched Samuel's cheek. She closed the
gap between them and asked
"It's Emma, right?" Samuel's expression changed to one of heartache.
For this moment, she was willing to put aside her pride and ego and look passed them. She could see
Samuel hurting.
In fact, Ella knew he hid his emotions when it came to Emma. Her fears had come true.
Ella could see clear as day light, that he loved Emma. And the fact that she was in a hospital hurt him,
deeply.
