True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 2162

Chapter 2162

However, Chigo's words surprised Sylvia.

Perhaps he saw something she didn't; after all, onlookers see most of the game.

She fell silent again, looking down at her toes.

Chigo sighed helplessly, seeing her behavior as he ruffled her hair.

She took a step back out of reflex to avoid his hand.

Stumped, Chigo frowned slightly, but he wasn't upset, chuckling bitterly under his breath. "Looks like things are worse than I imagined."

"Chigo." She didn't want to be on tenterhooks anymore and went straight to the point. "You and I are in different leagues."

"Are you using this as an excuse to reject me?" He remained direct as usual.

She smiled. "I guess you can put it that way."

"Then do you think that Mr. Trevino is in the same league as you?" he retorted.

Her heart skipped a beat. Chigo was really good at guessing her thoughts.

He was right; all three of them were in different leagues, but what was ludicrous was that she was infatuated with Kendrix.

"It's too early to draw conclusions now," Chigo said, smiling as he noticed her silence and helplessness. "You don't have to be so nervous." "I'm not." Sylvia denied.

Chigo beamed; the smile spoke volumes as though he saw through her thoughts but only didn't point out.

Under that smile, she thought she had nowhere to hide.

Seemingly in a good mood, Chigo said, "I've always believed you'd only consider some things seriously when you've reached a certain age, even if you've thought about it at a younger age, it wouldn't be a mature enough thought. So some things are best considered after hitting a certain age; it's only then you'll know what you truly desire."

"I'm not young anymore," she retorted.

"Who was the one who told me she's still just a kid?" he asked.

Stumped, Sylvia took a deep breath, looked at him, and smiled.

She had to be strong facing such a formidable opponent.

He was truly impressive.

Smiling, she said, "What I mean is that I already know what I want even though I still haven't come of age."

"I know, but don't minor's your age enjoy being under a teacher's care?" Chigo said with a smile, "After all, the attention a teacher can give is different from that of a parent,"

He was able to retort every word she said with ease. Sylvia felt oppressed by him.

Was she slowly losing her sharp tongue?

She used to win him in any argument, so why was she in the lower hand now?

The discovery got her feeling a little depressed.

She noticed Chigo was good at attacking her by going at the minor details while not hurting her pride, but at the same time serving as a constant reminder for her to evaluate her feelings for Kendrix.

Just then, her eyes lit up, stuck with an epiphany. "How did you know Kendrix is my teacher?"

She was sure she didn't introduce Kendrix as her teacher.

Chuckling, Chigo said, "It's not that hard for me to find out what I want to know?"

Sylvia was rendered floored.

She couldn't believe Chigo had learned a good handful about her daily life.

Frowning, she studied him, "You didn't investigate me, did you, Chigo?"

"Do you know why I came back for the New Year?" He fixed his gaze at her, staring into her eyes as they stopped in the middle of the path. Sylvia saw many things in Chigo's eyes that overwhelmed her.

It was as if he knew everything about her.

Did he come back just to see her?

If that were the case, she'd be lying if she said she wasn't the least bit surprised.

She looked at him blankly, and he also looked at her with his head lowered.

A handsome man and a pretty lady stood in the path surrounded by beautiful tall trees that were bare.

They were stunning and looked just like a match made in heaven.

It was what Kendrix saw as he drove by, turning into the corner.

Even from a distance, the scene of the two of them stung him.

He pulled his car over around the corner and fixed his gaze at the two.

Sylvia looked away, feeling uncomfortable from his stare, her mind in a state of chaos.

How did things get to this point?

"I don't know why." She had to get it out from her chest. "But you're suffocating me."

"There's no reason for you to feel so." He smiled and saw the car parked by the corner.

He had long noticed the car from the

Meanwhile, Sylvia cast her gaze on the ground, feeling exhausted.

How could she not feel pressured?NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

It was rather suffocating.

Sylvia took a deep breath and said, "All I know now is that I'm still a student."

"You should be glad that you're still a student, Sylvia." Chigo chuckled, "If you weren't, I might..."

He left his words hanging, leaving it to her to decipher.

She frowned, feeling horrified

She was smart, so she didn't need to ask to know where he was going with it.

However, she could tell that he was determined to win her over from his tone.

She dared not say anything.

Finally, Sylvia said, "I apologize for giving you false hope; I didn't know any better back then."

"I've never and will never be mad at you no matter what you do," Chigo said with a tone filled with adoration for her.

Shocked, she looked up at him.

While he inched closer to her.

Sylvia took a step back reflexively, but he caught her wrist and pulled her into his arms.

Utterly dumbfounded, a foreign scent filled her nostrils the next second, smelling fresh and minty.

Feeling a little dizzy, she reflexively pushed him away, but he was strong, shackling her slender body, not giving her a chance to break free.

"Chigo." She whispered, "Don't do this."

"Are you nervous?" His teasing voice rang above her head.

How could she not be when she was in a man's arms?

They were no longer children anymore.

It was different from when they were kids; this was probably an indication of a mature man.

He had changed.

He had become domineering and resolute.

The discovery led her to think she shouldn't have said all that she did as a child, rendering her feeling guilty then.

As she recalled her past behavior, reflecting upon it, Sylvia forgot to push him away.

Meanwhile, gripping the steering wheel, the veins on Kendrix's hand bulged as he watched the scene unfold.

Soon, he started the car and sped, the engine roaring.

The car whizzed past Chigo and Sylvia, and it shocked her.

She raised her head subconsciously, but Chigo pinned her head down, saying Drivers these days. You ought to be careful; don't get dust into your eyes."
