Chapter 2170
Chapter 2170
Looking at the girl's blushing face and dreamy eyes, more fleshly thoughts surged beneath Kendrix's eyes.
Pursing his lips, he pulled out all the stops to repress his carnal desires.
However, his voice was still hoarse. "Got it?"
"Huh?" Sylvia had no idea what he meant.
Right then, her mind had gone totally blank.
It wasn't until she came to her senses that she realized that kiss was intended to be a punishment.
Her face went pink.
Giving a peck on her cheek, Kendrix mumbled, "Return it to him. Hair combs mean something special to girls like you. You can't simply accept it."
With that, Kendrix fell silent shortly before he continued, "Not only this, don't accept anything from anyone."
"Not even girls? Like presents from my friends or something?" Sylvia asked in a whisper.
Stumped, Kendrix said, "It depends on the situation."
Pouting, Sylvia had a tender tone. "I didn't realize you're so domineering."
"I'm indeed a very domineering man. I will not allow my woman to be a two-timer."
"Your woman?"
Another flush of shyness rose to Sylvia's cheeks.
She was still just a girl, not a woman.
Probably noticing the error in his words, with a calm expression, Kendrix added, "You're my girl."
Flabbergasted.
Sylvia went red.
She thought Kendrix would never utter sweet nothings, but it would outclass those of any other men if he did.
It was because men like him looked too humorless, and everything about him screamed celibacy.
However, something about a man like him just oozed hotness when it came to speaking sweet nothings.
Sylvia nodded as she buried her face into his chest.
Kendrix stiffened again, feeling her warm breath gushing at his chest.
He coughed and cleared his throat, reminding, "C'mon, get up."
Stumped, only then did Sylvia remember she was still sitting on his lap. The two were too close, and she vaguely felt something alien.
It was a very baleful existence.
A romantic ambiguity marked the atmosphere, and Sylvia froze.
She didn't dare to move.
Technically speaking, she couldn't because she was too enervated at the moment. She only wanted to slouch on him indolently, just that she was in a menacing position.
She could neither advance nor retreat.
Her face was now bright red from embarrassment as she looked down at his lap; they were now only fractions of an inch from him.
The kiss just now had really addled her brain that she couldn't think straight anymore.
It was only now that she sensed his erection.
It turned out that Kendrix had been aroused, and most importantly, it happened because of her.
It was so erotic.
Looking down, she was utterly dumbfounded.
When Kendrix realized what the girl was gazing at, he froze and stretched out his hands instantaneously to cuddle her.
He heaved a long sigh, seemingly helpless.
Sylvia couldn't resist but giggled. "Haha."
"What are you giggling at?" Kendrix's croaky, sexy and alluring voice rang next to her ear.
"I didn't realize I'm a girl of great charm." She murmured to herself.
When she realized what she had just said, she went crimson and buried her face in his chest, talking in a muffled voice. "Don't laugh at me."
How could he not?
His deep and pleasant laugh echoed in her ears; it was so seductive. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
It was the first time she heard Kendrix's laughter, which was so euphonious. She couldn't help raising her head to look up at him.
A smile hung on his similarly scarlet yet resolute face.
It was so fetching, warm and brilliant, just like the light of the sun.
Showering with such warm radiance, it gave her a great sense of happiness.
Her eyes curved into a crescent as she flashed an adorable smile, gawking at Kendrix's face.
Kendrix riveted his gaze on her again. The chemistry between them was running wild.
The look in his eyes became softer. "You can't sit on my lap anymore."
"Just this once," she muttered. "We have a pact between us; it'll be a few years until I can be this close to you again."
The little girl's tone was full of grievance and accusation, even a hint of unwillingness.
Stumped, her words reminded him. A few years, huh?
He thought they didn't necessarily have to abide by the pact strictly. They could still hug in private.
However, he couldn't propose such an idea, could he?
He was a policeman, after all, and a teacher in her school still; he naturally didn't dare to do anything out of line. Moreover, he had e chucked all his principles out the window with his actions that night.
He had become increasingly unlike himself.
However, he was left with no other options as he feared losing the attractive, intelligent girl.
Perhaps, he had long since been smitten with her, just that he didn't realize it.
Not until he saw Chigo hugging her, at least.
He tried to drown his sorrows by swilling, thinking that this was their end. But who would've thought the girl would show up at his door.
How could he let her go so easily when she had come on her own accord?
Sylvia couldn't guess anything from his expressions, just that he was silent, deep in his thoughts.
She looked up and saw that he was indeed absentminded, and his body was very tense.
Flushing from embarrassment, she still got up from his lap.
She was a girl, after all, and she'd feel embarrassed about certain things compared to men.
Now that she left in his arms, Kendrix was nonplussed all of a sudden, failing to give a response.
He was seized by a devastating feeling of reluctance, as though he had lost something important.
He had a sudden feeling that their pact was actually created to restrict himself.
He came to his senses in no time and returned to his usual collected manner, which was rather inscrutable.
"How did you get here?" Kendrix asked her, changing the topic. He checked his watch to find that it was already ten.
It had already been past nine when she arrived.
It was getting very late. She'd better go home.
"I snuck out," Sylvia whispered.
"Claudia called me, worried that you
might be drinking. I didn't believe her at first, but I was still worried, so I snuck out, thinking I should check up on you."
"Were your parents unaware that you've come out?" Kendrix furrowed his brow.
Seeing his grave expression, Sylvia knew she was going to receive a lecture. Sticking out her tongue, she muttered, "Yeah, they don't know."
"Let's go. I'll send you back," Kendrix said.
"No, you can't." Sylvia shook her head.
"Don't tell me you're planning to go back by yourself?" Kendrix didn't think he could let her go back atone
at such a late night; he would be fretful.
This was his girl.
