True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 2195

Chapter 2195

Chigo ended his call shortly, only to find Sebastian frozen in place when he came back. Meanwhile, Claudia was doing some window shopping a distance away.

He glanced at Sebastian and asked, "Weren't you on the way to the barbecue restaurant?"

Sebastian quickly came back to his senses. He felt even more upset when he recalled Claudia toying with him and a faint blush appeared on his handsome face.

"Why are you blushing?" Chigo laughed.

Sebastian was slightly stunned. When he saw Chigo's sharp gaze, he felt a moment of shame and anger but immediately suppressed all his emotions. There was no need to feign ignorance that nothing had happened in front of someone as intelligent as Chigo. If not, he'd only make a fool of himself.

After a short pause, Sebastian smiled, "Let's go to the barbecue restaurant."

Despite knowing that Sebastian was trying to avoid the question, Chigo did not expose him. However, he did give Claudia, who was a distance away, a meaningful look. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Sebastian was shocked when he noticed Chigo's glance, and he couldn't help but admire Chigo's keen insight once again.

It was better not to argue with such an intelligent person.

Yet, silence meant that something was definitely wrong.

Chigo's smile deepened at that revelation.

Defeated, Sebastian instantly knew what Chigo was thinking about when looking at Claudia.

"It seems that Miss Loris has quite the charm," Chigo's smile widened.

Sebastian was speechless.

Chigo then walked to Claudia's side. Seeing that she was picking something out, he only chuckled and asked, "Miss Loris, do you want more time to shop?"

When Claudia turned around, she saw Chigo standing behind her. He was looking at her with a mysterious yet courteous smile on his face.

Chigo was indeed a dangerous rival for Kendrix.

Needless to say, Kendrix needed to up his game.

All the while, Sebastian followed behind Chigo with a blank expression on his face. When he looked at Claudia, his hateful gaze prated her

defenses.

Claudia just returned the polite gesture, "No need. I'm done. I was just waiting for you."

"Is that so?" Chigo raised his brow, not exposing her intentions either. He knew she was only trying to make more time for Kendrix to spend with Sylvia.

It was a blessing to have such a dedicated cousin.

"Sorry. I hope I didn't delay much of your time because of the call," Chigo said.

"It's alright. I used up a lot of your time too," Claudia laughed, "Let's go."

The three of them then made their way to the barbeque restaurant.

When they entered the restaurant, there were already two plates of grilled lamb kebabs on the table. Soon, the waiter just happened to bring over some grilled beef, grilled mushrooms, vegetables and the like.

Quickly, the whole table was filled with food.

Kendrix noticed the trio as soon as they stepped foot into the restaurant. As a policeman, he was more alert than the average person.

"They are here," He gestured to Sylvia.

Sylvia grabbed a piece of kebab and turned back to look at the door as she ate. She immediately saw Chigo, Claudia, and Sebastian walking towards them.

She waved her hand calmly, calling out, "Claudia, over here."

"Coming."

Soon, the three came to the table and sat down.

Claudia sat next to Sylvia. She looked at Sylvia then at Kendrix, realizing that they preferred sitting together.

It seemed unusual.

Judging by her understanding of Kendrix, he would never sit next to someone if there was nothing between them.

Yet, he came over right away after she told him about Chigo.

It could mean only one thing.

There had to be something between Sylvia and Kendrix.

With that, Claudia studied Sylvia's expression and realized that there was something fishy about the way Sylvia was acting.

Sylvia's face was red. Even if her head was hung low, Claudia could see the redness on Sylvia's cheeks.

Claudia withdrew her gaze and turned to look at

Kendrix.

Kendrix, on the other hand, looked calm as if nothing had happened.

He was still calm and composed.

In the meantime, Chigo sat down opposite Sylvia. After he sat down, he looked at her with a smile.

"Sylvia, how can you start eating before us? Is it delicious?"

Sylvia looked up and met his gaze. Chigo seemed quite happy to be here and he was greeting her casually. It seemed like no more but a normal conversation.

She felt that she had made it clear enough to him by returning the hairpin to him. He was pretty sharp. Sylvia was sure that he would understand what she meant without the need for her to say so out loud.

She believed that he could pick it up from her actions themselves.

Sylvia bore no romantic feelings for Chigo.

But now, he was sitting opposite her as if nothing had happened. She couldn't help but have some doubts.

Kendrix tilted his head and glanced at Sylvia.

Sylvia received the signal and immediately beamed. She said to Chigo, "It's delicious. You guys took too long to arrive, so I started digging in first."

"It's fine. You can always start first if you're hungry. I had dinner earlier, so I am not that hungry," Chigo replied.

"I've eaten too," Sebastian added.

Before sending Gary, Celeste and Lowell away, they had already eaten dinner at home. Sebastian was mystified how Sylvia still had the appetite to eat more.

"I haven't eaten yet," Claudia grinned, "Kendrix too. Isn't that right, Kendrix?"

Kendrix nodded, seeing that Claudia had purposely brought him up.

Claudia continued, "Since Mr. Robinson and Sebastian have already eaten dinner, you two can take a stroll outside while we eat, Don't mind us. You can even go home to get some rest. Kendrix and

าวน

I will look out for Sylvia, so you don't have to worry. We'll send her home for sure."

Sylvia almost choked on her food after hearing what Claudia had to say.

Claudia was driving the two third-wheels away so indignantly.

Sylvia didn't expect Claudia to do that at all.

Calmly, she took a peek at the smiling Chigo. He didn't seem mad that he was being driven away.

Sebastian had almost little to no

reaction, but there was a snicker on his lips, "Thank you for your concern, Miss Loris, but I received orders from Ernest to look out for Sylvia, so I can't leave just yet. Meanwhile, Chigo is with me, so he has to stay too."

Chigo nodded in agreement, "I don't have anything else to do anyways. I'll just sit here for a while. Who knows? Maybe I'll get hungry the minute I leave."

Sylvia looked at Chigo, smiled, and said nothing.

Claudia was not embarrassed. She gobbled down the food while saying, "Sebastian is such a good brother."

There was a trace of sarcasm in her tone.

Sebastian looked at Claudia and shrugged, "Sylvia is as delicate as a flower, so of course I have to be there to protect her. If I aren't here, who else

can be there to protect her in times of need?"

Even fools could tell that he was secretly insulting Kendrix.

Claudia rolled her eyes, "Just look at you. You make Sylvia seem like she doesn't know how to protect herself."

"She's different from you. You're

much older than us, and that makes

l

you an adult while she is just a minor," Sebastian deliberately emphasized the fact that Claudia was much older than the rest of the

group. of the

Sylvia felt her heart tighten. Minor, huh? How ironic.

Claudia's face turned pale, but she retorted nevertheless, "Aren't you a minor yourself? How can you be sure that you can protect her?"

Claudia did not hold back as she shot back in a sarcastic tone.

"That's why I asked Chigo to come and help me look out for her," Sebastian finished calmly.

It seemed that Sebastian had won the competition.

Claudia frowned. She took a kebab and bit into it hard to vent her anger.

Meanwhile, Sylvia thought it was strange when she saw the blatant aggression Sebastian and Claudia were showing each other.

Sebastian was acting differently when with Claudia.

He didn't behave like a gentleman at all in front of her.

It was very abnormal.

Sylvia wasn't mad, though. Anyhow, she got what she wanted now and was sitting next to Kendrix although he had been silent all the time. He looked

at them bickering as if all this had nothing to do with him.

Not everyone could do this.

Sylvia looked at Kendrix before asking, "Mr. Trevino, why aren't you eating?"

She handed the kebab to him.

He looked at her bright, sparkling eyes and took the kebab from her, muttering, "Thank you."

"You're welcome," Sylvia's face turned red again.

Claudia grinned when she saw their reactions. She looked at Chigo and Sebastian proudly.

Just then, Sebastian looked at Kendrix and asked, "Mr. Trevino, how are you suddenly so free to come join us for a meal today?"

"I've always had some free time in my hands," Kendrix turned towards Sebastian, his eyes as sharp as ever.

"That's rare," Sebastian chuckled, silently mocking Kendrix.

Nevertheless, Kendrix did not take it to heart and continued eating. He had a small appetite, so he didn't eat much.

Sylvia was a little worried about him and asked, "Mr. Trevino, have some more. You haven't eaten enough." "That's right. Don't you have a bad

stomach? You should have some more," Claudia added.

With that, Sylvia continued to grab food for him.

He accepted whatever she gave him. If it wasn't for Sylvia helping him, he wouldn't have taken any food for himself.

Sebastian threw them a look of disdain, seeing how Kendrix only ate the food Sylvia gave him.

"Mr. Trevino, aren't you an adult? Why do you need my sister to feed you?"

Sylvia froze and glared at Sebastian. She secretly grumbled in dissatisfaction, "What's wrong with him? Why does he have to go against Mr. Trevino?

He's obviously targeting Mr. Trevino."

Then, she shot Sebastian a warning gaze.

However, Sebastian acted as if he didn't see anything.

In an attempt to help Kendrix, Sylvia interjected, "Is there a problem with me taking food for him?"

"Exactly. Why do you have to make it seem like she has an ulterior motive for doing so?" Claudia defended Sylvia.

Chigo just laughed, not wanting to say anything.

Meanwhile, Sebastian looked at Kendrix, waiting for him to say something.

As a result, Kendrix calmly said, "It's common courtesy to pay respects to elders and teachers. You should respect Sylvia for doing so. Why do you

have to make it sound like it's something nasty?"

Sebastian was stunned when he heard such a remark.

He was in a daze as he looked at Kendrix before bursting into laughter.

Only Kendrix could say such shameless words and make it sound righteous.

Sebastian was fully convinced.

He chuckled, "Mr. Trevino, my sister is a minor, and you're an adult. Shouldn't you take care of yourself?"

"Isn't it normal to start practicing good values from a young age?" Kendrix replied.
