Passion 32
Daphne's expression was grim. She didn't know what was going on, but Tristan seemed to have changed completely in the last four years. He ignored all her demands.
As for Xavier, Daphne wasn't confident that he would help her. But there was nothing she wanted that she couldn't get.All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
"Find a way. No matter what, I need to get her song"
As Yvette hung up the call from Kelly, she had a cold look in her eyes.
No one knew Daphne better than she did. Over the years, whether in the entertainment industry or the music industry, Daphne had always been a fraud.
She plagiarized others' work and robbed them of their careers. If it hadn't been for Xavier and Tristan helping her unconditionally, she wouldn't have made it this far.
For someone with a hearing impairment, creating music was incredibly challenging, and no one understood that.
Over the years, Yvette had worked tirelessly to take care of Zachary, Noah, and Viola and make sure they had the best living conditions.
She had earned enough to support her family. How could she possibly sell her music to Daphne for money?
After returning to her residence, Yvette set her phone aside and went for a bath. She pondered how to get what she needed as quickly as possible.
Perhaps she was too exhausted; before she realized it, she had fallen asleep in the bathtub. She was woken up by a call from Kiki.
"Yvvy, I'll be back in a few days."
Yvette put on a bathrobe and came out. "I'll give you a warm welcome when you return."
"Great. How have you been lately? Is Xavier treating you rudely? And that hypocrite, Daphne-does she know you're back?" Kiki was very worried about Yvette being alone. "Daphne doesn't know I'm back yet, but she will soon."
Yvette walked to the window. Feeling the summer breeze, she said, "As for Xavier, don't worry. I'm not going to let him intimidate me."
While she was speaking, the doorbell rang.
It was already 9:00 pm. Who could come at this hour?
Without Ray around, Yvette felt a little uneasy.

Ray had insisted on staying outside to protect her, but he hadn't had a break in days. So, Yvette had told him to go back and get some rest.
She went down and looked at the surveillance video by the door. Her breath hitched in her throat.
Why was he here?
Xavier was standing at the door. His face looked particularly cold under the streetlight. He was right here at the door.
Yvette figured she had no reason not to let him in, so she opened the door. She was wearing a loose bathrobe, and her hair cascaded over her shoulders. She leaned against the door, looking seductive. "I was wondering who would come looking for me so late. Mr. Lane, is there something you need?" Xavier was taken aback by her appearance. The way Yvette looked now was vastly different from the conservative look she used to have.
He felt a strong urge to learn what had happened to her over the years.
"I came to tell you about our encounter." Xavier narrowed his eyes. His piercing gaze shone directly toward Yvette.
His intense gaze made Yvette sweat. She calmed herself down and said, "Mr. Lane, you don't intend to stand outside and tell me, do you?"
Xavier suddenly stepped forward. He pinned Yvette against the wall and closed the door behind him.
The atmosphere in the house became intimate right away.
Yvette leaned against the wall. But before she could speak, her lips were sealed. Xavier lifted her up. 1
