Chapter 126 He Will Have to Quit the Position!
Chapter 126 He Will Have to Quit the Position!
People were coming and going in the spacious hall.
But at this moment, the hall was silent because of the aura about James.
Everyone liked to hear the tea, but not the tea on James. His gloomy expression indicated that any
audience would be in trouble.
When questioned closely by James, the deputy director of the sales department could not speak. Her
glib tongue seemed to be sealed.
"Are you a mute?"
"She soiled the floor and ordered me not to step on it. President, I just wanted to remind her to clean it
up quickly." © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.
James sneered and glanced at the deputy director's high heels.
"You care too much about your shoes. Now run a hundred laps around this building and then clean up
every corner of the building."
"Mr. James, it's not my fault. Why should I run?"
At the thought of running in high heels, the deputy director felt her legs went weak before she got
started.
It seemed that the president was even going to transfer her to the logistics department to be a cleaner.
"You're not satisfied with a hundred laps? How about a thousand?"
The area covered by the SA Group building was not small. With the park beside the building, a lap
could mean about two miles round.
Hearing James's words, the deputy director collapsed to the ground.
"Which department are you from?" James asked the woman next to the deputy director.
The woman covered her mouth in surprise when she found the president was talking to her. "Mr.
James, I, I am from the Sales Department."
"Supervise her while she was running. If she runs one lap less, you will be punished with ten laps!"
The female employee of the sales department stared, with a bitter face, at the deputy director who was
sitting on the ground.
She suffered because of other's fault.
James glanced at the crowd. Everyone was scared, lowered their heads, and then left, pretending that
nothing had happened.
Standing beside James, Kara was also frightened by the aura around him. She lowered her head and
clenched her hands with fear.
James looked back at Kara and noticed that the little fool was scared by him.
He took a deep breath and restrained himself. And then he carried Kara in his arms without a word,
walking up the stairs.
"Uncle James, my bag..."
"Shut up. I will deal with you later!"
Kara struggled in his arms to go for her little bag. James gritted his teeth with annoyance. He took two
steps back and carried her little bag on the back.
"Nolan, clean up the mess!"
Nolan, who only got downstairs for a moment, was speechless.
Kara pursed her lips and covered her face with a coat in embarrassment, in case that others could see
her face.
Kathleen, who was upstairs, saw James carrying a woman into the office and stared at the woman in
his arms in surprise.
"James, who is she?"
James did not give her a single glance. He carried the woman in his arms into his lounge.
When he worked overtime, he would stay in the lounge.
In terms of quality of life, James would never mistreat himself, so the lounge had almost everything.
He carried the little fool into the bathroom and threw his clothes to her.
"Take a good bath. We'll talk about the things later!"
James gritted his teeth as he spoke, as if Kara would be punished if she did not tell him the truth.
Kara's heart trembled as James slammed the bathroom door. Looking at the clothes in her hand, Kara
could still smell the faint scent of mint. She was shy and blushing.
Kathleen followed after them, and when she saw the woman enter the bathroom, she got angry.
"James, shouldn't you explain it?"
James walked by without looking at her. Hearing her words, he frowned in confusion.
"Explain what?"
Kathleen clenched her fists and complained with red eyes, "We are going to be engaged in a week, but
now you are carrying a woman into your bathroom. Do you take me seriously?"
Her roar in a hoarse voice only sounded ear-piercing to James.
'The little fool's voice was much more pleasant, soft and low. Even when she lost her temper, she
would only shout my name out.'
"I don't care about you," said he.
Kathleen gritted her teeth. She knew that James never paid her any attention, but he went too far this
time!
However, when Kathleen realized that she had been shouting so loudly, which did not fit her image as a
lady, she took a deep breath and held her temper.
"Mr. James, you promised Grandma that you will take engagement photos with me this afternoon. You
shouldn't break your promise."
"You want to be my fiancée? Are you qualified?" James stared at her with a sinister smile.
"You..." Kathleen felt diffident and did not dare to look at him.
But his words were too insulting, and she could not bear it.
"Grandma designated me as your fiancée. Do you want to go against her wishes?"
It was obvious that Kathleen tried to threaten James.
However, James hated people threatening him the most. Those who had threatened him never had a
good ending!
James sneered.
Kathleen was a little anxious. "How can you go against her? You promised Grandma that if you don't
get engaged to me this time, you will resign from the SA Group."
"So?" James looked indifferent.
It seemed that in his eyes, the position of SA Group's president was nothing.
"You..."
Kathleen really panicked. When James's grandma told her the promise, she was sure that James
would be engaged to her for the position of president.
But now, looking at James's arrogant face, she suddenly felt unconfident.
James was such an outstanding man who had been able to support the SA Group. Even if he left the
group, he could still build up another powerful business empire.
"Mr. James, I was too impulsive. Please don't be angry."
James sat on the sofa and touched the black diamond ring on his finger. He looked up and found that
the arrogant woman just turned humble in no time. It was a pity that she was not an actress.
"Mr. James, the SA Group is your treasure. Grandma won't allow you to resign."
Hearing her annoying voice, James looked rather impatient. He entirely ignored her and stared at the
lounge.
Kathleen noticed that and also turned to the lounge. She was furious.
But now she couldn't lose her temper!
Kara, who was in the lounge, took a quick shower and put on James's clothes.
The large hoodie looked like a knee-length dress on Kara.
She had hardly walked out of the bathroom when she heard Kathleen's words.
'If Uncle James does not get engaged to her, he will have to quit the position!'
She bit her lip and thought of the photos in her bag. At this moment, she did not know whether she
should take them out.
She walked to the door of the lounge, pulling the hoodie downward. Seeing that both James and
Kathleen were staring at her, she clenched her small fists nervously.
James saw that her hair was still dripping with water. Thinking that she was weak, he frowned slightly
and got up to find a towel to help her dry her hair.
"Uncle James, I..."
"You weren't this respectful when you called me this morning."
Seeing her resistance, he sneered and held her little hand in an overbearing manner, telling her to
behave herself.
...
Kara pouted. She was no match for him in arguments so she had no choice but to give up struggling.
When Kathleen saw that the woman who came out of the lounge was Kara, she flew into a rage at her.
Kathleen rushed up and intended to bring Kara out of the office. However, someone came to Kara's
side before her.
The man was tall and straight, holding a towel to help Kara dry her hair. It was clear that this was not
the first time he had done such a thing.
"Kara, what are you doing here?"
Kara frowned and glanced at Kathleen with a smirk on her face.
She put her arms around James's strong waist, raising her eyebrows at Kathleen provocatively.
"Isn't it obvious?"
