Chapter 146 They Had a Quarrel
Chapter 146 They Had a Quarrel
Kara took a shower and deliberately picked a conservative cotton pajamas before locking the door and
returning to the bed.
She had just covered herself with the blanket when she heard a sound. James stood outside the door
and raised an eyebrow at her.
"Kara, you're not listening to me again."
James closed the door and walked to the bedside.
"James, didn't you say you would give me two weeks to adapt?" Kara shrank back in fear.
James bent down and approached her. Seeing her nervous look, he just wanted to tease her.
"Two weeks are too short, so I have to teach you now."
James deliberately let out a breath by her ear. He felt her body tremble and the smile on his lips wider.
From the time he forced her, he could clearly feel that she had deliberately distanced herself from him.
For his own benefit, how could James allow this to happen again?
After the engagement, he would not force her, but she had to adapt to his existence as fast as possible.
"No, no need."
"If you don't get close to me, how are you going to get used to my existence?" James burrowed into the
blanket and placed his long arms around her waist.
Kara was furious and shook off his arm. Not only did she fail, but her small hand was held tightly by
him.
"You don't sleep because you want to do something else?"
When Kara heard him deliberately asked her in a sexy tone, a numbing sensation flashed past her
ears, her cheeks flushed, and she closed her eyes to hide under the quilt.
"Kara, you can't breath under the quilt."
The little girl was like a shy kitten, shrinking into the quilt and not daring to look at him. He held back his
laughter and wanted to pull the quilt.
If she was muffled, his heart would break.
"No, I won't sleep with you!" She mumbled.
James sighed. Since she wanted to play hard to get with him, he could only cooperate.
He also got into the quilt. He wanted to catch her, while she wanted to hide from him, and the two
played happily in the quilt.
When Kara was really tired of playing, she reluctantly lifted the quilt and panted heavily.
At the moment, in the quiet room, one could only hear the breath.
Kara was not used to the silence. The scene of the Hemmings flashed through her mind, and she
asked tentatively.
"James, you don't seem to have a good relationship with your parents?"
James leaned to the side, stretched out his long arms, bent his wrist and rubbed her little head.
"What do you find out?"
If they wanted to be together in the future, he would not deliberately hide his relationship with the
Hemmings.
"Your mother doesn't seem to like you that much."
Because she observed that Keely did not even look at him from the beginning, and she looked at
James with fear.
"She is not my biological mother. You don't have to care about her attitude."
Kara stared at him in surprise. She wanted to raise her head to look him in the eye, but she was
pressed down by his arm and could only rub against his arm.
"Then are you a child of the Hemmings?"
"Of course, I'm my father's son, and my mother is another woman." James felt warm as he saw her
worried look.
Kara breathed a sigh of relief. Feeling that the cold air around him intensified when he mentioned his
mother, she gently patted his arm.
"Since you are so good-looking, your mother must be very beautiful."
James felt her comfort and the cold air around him dissipated a lot. He rubbed her little head harder.
"Kara, you should call her mother now."
Kara rolled her eyes and turned around with her back against him.
James was not angry either. He rubbed her little head as if he was stroking a kitten. He stared at the
ceiling, his mind filled with the bloody scenes from before. He narrowed his eyes.
He thought that thinking back to the past, he would definitely lose his sleep.
But hugging the little girl and smelling the faint scent on her body, he actually slept until dawn.
They changed their clothes and went to the sports room. The physical training was very tiring. Kara
supported herself against the wall.
James easily picked her up and sent her back to the bedroom without giving her the chance to
struggle.
After changing her clothes, she went downstairs to eat breakfast. She recovered some strength,
walked lightly, and smiled happily.
"James, I'm going to the art studio today."
James, who was sitting on the sofa and reading an email with a tablet, heard her words and thought
that she was going to move out to live with Donald.
Before he could settle this matter with her, she was already so eager to go to the studio to see Donald!
If he didn't teach her a lesson for a while, the little girl even dared to do something more unforgivable!
"You are not allowed to go to the studio!"
Kara frowned, obviously angry, "James, you are unreasonable. It is my dream to learn from Master
Larry. How can you just say no and not allow me to go there?!"
James was overbearing and his tone was firmer than hers.
"If I let you go to the art studio, then you could get close to Donald and even want to live with him?"
Kara was stunned. "I am not living with Donald. I just..."
"You just want to leave me!"
James lost his temper. His face was gloomy and he stared at her coldly. He was very terrifying.
Kara opened her mouth but found herself speechless.
They looked at each other silently. The tension around them was very strong.
Nobody wanted to compromise!
When Libby was serving breakfast, she heard the two quarreling. She was anxious and did not dare to
go forward to persuade them. She could only look at Kara.
Mr. James was very terrifying when he lost his temper, making her submit first.
Kara wasn't a tough person, so it wasn't like she wasn't afraid of James's cold gaze.
However, for her own dreams, she would never surrender to him.
Unable to withstand the pressure, her eyes turned red. She blinked quickly with tears falling down.
"James, you are bullying me!"
James saw her crying, and the anger all over his body instantly dispersed.
He pulled her into his arms and lowered his head to kiss her eyes.
Kara was still angry, avoiding him and pushing his chest with both hands.
However, her strength was only an itch to James. He held her in his chest, feeling extremely
distressed.
"Sorry, please don't cry."
"I am not crying. It is you who bully me."
Kara sobbed, feeling that she was so weak that she shed tears easily, but in front of him, the more she
wanted to control her emotion, the more her tears fell. NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
James looked at the tears that were falling from her eyes. He felt it was like poison corroding his heart.
He took a deep breath to calm himself.
"Okay, I promise that you can go to the studio, but you must promise me that you will stay away from
Donald!"
Kara knew that he had already backed down, so she didn't dare to retort and nodded obediently.
Libby stared blankly at them who were tightly hugging each other. She didn't expect that the war would
end with two drops of Kara's tears. She was very surprised.
It seemed that Mr. James really couldn't live without Kara!
James sent her to the studio.
When she got off the car, Kara said goodbye to him, but when she saw him get off the car as well, she
raised her eyebrows in surprise.
It was now half past nine. When they were in the car, Nolan had called James a few times.
However, the man who got out of the car was very calm. He was not anxious at all. But even she was
anxious for Nolan.
"What, you don't welcome me in?" Seeing that she was staring at him without blinking, James naturally
held her hand and asked sarcastically.
Kara came back to her senses and quickly shook her head, "How could that be? I'm just afraid of
delaying your work."
"Work is not as important as you." He said calmly.
Kara's heart missed a beat. If this man wanted to say something sweet and flirt with her, it was really
hard to refuse him.
