Chapter 67 You Are Great
Chapter 67 You Are Great
Hearing that Master Larry was to take a new apprentice, several of his students ran over excitedly to
take a look.
They were all shocked when they saw it was a little girl in pink sportswear who looked like a junior high
school student.
If one wanted to be a student of Master Larry, he was either an excellent graduate of the Academy of
Arts or had done a few famous paintings.
However, this little girl seemed just a junior high school student. How could she become Master Larry's
student?
Master Larry said that she had to pass an examination if she wanted to be his student.
He gave Kara a painting topic on wind and sunshine and then started to drink tea below the window.
The crowd also stood by the side, watching and whispering.
Kara sat in front of the painting canvas. Her hands were still shaking when she picked up the brush.
She closed her eyes and thought of what Uncle James had taught her. Concentration.
The crowd discovered that she drew with her right hand, but sometimes with both hands. To their
surprise, many of her drawing techniques were also used by Master Larry.
Her hands moved fast and sketched out the outline quickly and then she got up to look for the paints.
"What do you need?" Seeing her searching for a long time, James asked softly.
Kara bit her pink lips and whispered, "I want a lighter color than watermelon red with a bright light and a
pearl glow."
James helped her find the color she wanted but failed. His cold gaze swept across the crowd,
searching for Nolan. If necessary, he planned to ask Nolan to buy it.
Suddenly, his gaze fell on a girl. Noticing that James was staring at her, she blushed and bowed her
head.
'Could he take a fancy to me?' She thought to herself.
James was tall and good-looking, a man that girls couldn't refuse.
'If he confesses to me, should I be a little reserved? Otherwise, he would probably be frightened.' The
girl thought.
Suddenly, James stroke towards her.
The girl's heart was pounding violently.
She felt that her heart was about to jump out. When James stood in front of her, she smelled a faint
fragrance of mint from his body and clenched her hands tightly.
'If he confesses, I will definitely give him a big hug. If he wants to kiss ... I could also accept it.' The girl
was lost in her mind.
"Excuse me, could you lend me your eye shadow?" James asked.
"What?"
The girl didn't understand. The way that men chatted up nowadays was so strange.
"Don't take it?"
The woman stared at him without saying a word. James grew impatient and turned to look for Nolan.
"No, I do." The woman quickly rummaged through her bag and produced a box of eye shadows.
The woman's eyeshadow was pearl-colored, similar to a watermelon-red color. It may be the color Kara
wanted.
When Kara saw the eye shadow box, her eyes lit up. "Uncle James, you're so great. How could you
find it?" Kara exclaimed.
"Anything else you need?"
"I've already gotten the rest."
Kara sat back in her seat. She moved her hands quickly. Ten minutes later, she finished her work.
The crowd glanced at her painting and were totally shocked not only because she applied the colors
over her painting in an extremely short time, but because these colors blended together in harmony.
The topic of wind and sunshine was a common theme. To create a painting on it that left a deep
impression on people was not an easy task.
"Master Larry, I ... I'm done." Kara nervously handed over her painting to Master Larry.
Master Larry held her painting casually. It was a simple sketch.
A woman was standing in the middle of the garden with a flower basket in her hand. She quietly
admired the flowers in front of her. Her eyes were bright and sparkling, with a reflection of the flowers in
them.
What's more, the woman looked similar to the one he painted in the studio upstairs. However, she
looked in a different mood now.
Outside the garden, there were desolate withered grass and branches.
The colors contrasted boldly, making a dramatic visual effect, and drawing people's attention.
The shadows of women and the flowers stayed with the theme of sunlight.
The withered petals on the ground and yellow leaves in the air proved it was windy.
So her painting was perfectly fitted with the theme.
She made the painting, trying to explain what she had said. When someone was in a good mood, he
always saw beautiful things.
That joy would also highlight the surroundings, so the flowers in front of her were somewhat
exaggerated and flashed with a faint red light.
When someone was in high spirits, he would ignore the bad things around him.
A good painting was not to show off the excellent techniques but to convey some ideas and emotions.
She did it quite well.
'She is timid but has a certain level of painting ability. Veronica has taught her daughter very well.' Larry
thought with a smile.
"You passed it. Stay for class this afternoon."
Master Larry said with a dull expression.
"Thank you, Master Larry. I will definitely study hard." Kara restrained her excitement.
"You'd better. Don't come if you can't pass the college entrance exam of University A," Master Larry
said sternly.
The smile on Kara's face froze.
She looked down and didn't dare to speak anymore.
Seeing her worried expression, James caressed her head and took her out to the nearby art exhibition.
They left Master Larry's studio. After ensuring that nobody could see them, Kara immediately pulled
James' arm excitedly and jumped up.
"Uncle James, I become Master Larry's student. I will definitely be smiling in my dreams."
James looked at her cheerful face which was gloomy before, feeling delighted too.
"Alright."
He was a self-restrained man who seldom revealed his emotions from his face.
They went to the exhibition and Kara became talkative in a good mood.
"Uncle James, look at this oil painting. I like the characters painted by Master Larry so much. They are
full of emotions..."
Kara tuned around and called his name with a beam. When he lagged behind, she would call his name.
When she saw a painting she liked, she would call his name happily. When she found something
interesting, she would call his name.
Her voice was sweet and soft and James was intoxicated in it. Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
Would she still call him like this when they lay on the bed...
James did not pay attention to those paintings. His gaze was riveted on her face. He was willing to stay
beside her and looked at her face this way forever.
After lunch, James sent her to the studio. He still had work to do and had to go back to the company.
Kara watched his car pulling away reluctantly before turning into the studio.
When she pushed open the door, she saw that everyone was staring at her. She paused, her amber
eyes filled with nervousness and helplessness.
She bit her pink lips and gently closed the door, wanting to find a place to draw.
"You. The one in pink. Yes. Go clean the studio!"
Suddenly, someone spoke. Kara glanced around and found only she wore pink. She pointed at herself
and the other nodded.
