Unrivaled Dragon Lord

Chapter 57: Desperado

Chapter 57: Desperado

Maxwell was doing household chores as usual in the mansion while Harriet was reading a magazine on

the couch. As Maxwell was starting to wipe the tea table, a voice came from the side at once. “So you

don’t intend to show some gratitude for the favor I gave you during the auction?”

Maxwell’s hand which was wiping the table stopped and he turned his head to the side. Harriet had put

down the magazine and was staring at him with an interested look. With a startled look he let out a wry

smile. “A great favor is not enough to be thanked by words, therefore I chose to keep silent and repay it

with my achievement.” Harriet chuckled and replied. “Yeah, nice one. With your talking skill, no wonder

Gret gives in to you…I have to say you’re really bold when it comes to spending other’s money. Do you

think my money is just a piece of paper? I can’t believe you dare bidding two hundred million yuan for

the sake of your pride,” she said gruffly.

Maxwell gave her a flattering smile and said, “I only did it for Greta. That money was not to show how

awesome I am, but to protect Greta’s dignity. I certainly could not let that young master gets his way…

Greta’s reputation is high in the Ocean City and her dignity is more important than anything else. Even

three or four hundred million yuan is worth it.”

“But is that money yours? Only you can be that composed when you take and spend my money without

any guilt.” Harriet let out a chuckle and crossed her arms over her chest.

“You and Greta are besties. You would be willing to do it even if you’re the one who spend the money.”

Maxwell spoke with interest. Harriet was slightly shocked and she then glimpsed at him with a profound

look. “Moral blackmail does not work for me. Spending two hundred million yuan at a time, you’re not

really frugal,” she said with her heart ached.

“Harriet, I know there must be quite much money in your bank card and two hundred million yuan is just

a small case for you.” Maxwell chuckled. “How did you know?” Harriet was taken aback by his words.

Although she had lent him her bank card, she had never told him the exact amount of the money in the

bank card and she wondered how he knew about that.

“You must have earned large amount of money overseas, or else you won’t be willing to return to this

small city. You must have earned enough and with your ability, I won’t be surprised if you’ve earned

billions or even ten billions yuan,” Maxwell said blandly.

“I owe you a favor this time. Whenever you need me in the future, I’ll definitely be there, be it to climb

the mountain of swords or to plunge into the sea of fire.” He patted his chest. “Oh come on, do I need

you to owe me a favor?”

Harriet smiled and shook her head, still maintaining her composure; Maxwell smiled without minding

her words. She would not know how many top forces from the overseas had spent their money

extravagantly just to win the Dragon Lord’s favor, yet Maxwell had not cared about them a bit, and the

number of people who was able to have the Dragon Lord’s promise was only miniature.

The Dragon Lord never made his promise easily, therefore the colossi from the overseas used to say

that the Dragon Lord’s promise was extremely precious and valuable.

Even some small forces had treated the receipt of the Dragon Lord’s promise as the utmost honor.

If those international warlords knew that an ordinary female president had dared to reject the Dragon

Lord’s offer, they would undoubtedly be so shocked that their eyes popped out and coughed blood due

to rage and anxiety.

As Maxwell stood up and walked towards the huge backyard behind the mansion, his phone rang in a

hurry. He took out his phone and glanced at the screen of the phone with a level gaze that grew more

and more obscure. He picked up the call and asked with a soft voice that was barely audible. “What

happen?”

“Boss, bad news, the Japanese has come.” A young man spoke with a serious voice at the other end of

the phone.

“Japan…why didn’t they continue staying at that tiny little place instead of looking for trouble here?”

Maxwell asked and squinted. His frivolous and languid aura vanished and was replaced by a ruthless

and powerful aura.

“They belong to the one sword style school in the imperial capital.” The young man’s words made his

eyes glazed over with thoughts. The one sword style school in the imperial capital was the top force in

Japan in terms of kendo. It taught the top sword skills in the whole of Japan and every ace from the

school was a natural killer!

“Eijiro Chiba, the young heir of the Chiba Dojo has brought his own men here to the Ocean City and I’m

afraid their intention is not good!” The man’s words made Maxwell’s urge to kill exploded. His powerful

aura made the flowers at the backyard shivered and the temperature of the yard dropped. “Is the Chiba

family seeking for its own demise? His grandpa did not even have the courage yet he as the grandson

has come.” Maxwell sneered.

“Boss, Eijiro Chiba was picked up by Young Master Sandoval the moment he walked out of the

international airport.” As the man finished his words, Maxwell’s expression changed instantly.

Sandoval! It’s him! He suddenly understood why the people from the one sword style school would

come to the Ocean City. They must be under the command of Sandoval and his targets were exactly

him and Greta!

“Damn you, Sandoval. If you dare lay a finger on my woman, I’ll definitely let you die!” A handsome

face that was wearing a creepy smile floated before his eyes. His mind was unreadable, just like his…

Maxwell had never expected Sandoval colluding with the Japanese pirates to deal with Greta. He

clenched his fists and veins bulged on his arm like ferocious and horrifying dragons. Sandoval’s action

had completely sparked Maxwell’s anger and it also meant he had been blacklisted. Maxwell took one

step forward and vanished into thin air. He was darting towards the far end like a lightning.

Inside the hotel, color unnoticeably flooded Greta’s smooth and delicate face. The alluring fragrance

accompanied by a light alcohol smell from her body was far more bewitching. Mr. Baron was giving a

lewd stare to Greta who was half-drunk and his eyes were filled with lust. One of his hands had held

her slim waist while the other was approaching her large boobs as he caressed her loin.

Greta would definitely refuse to let that jerk do what he wanted during normal time, yet she was now in

a daze and she would not remember what happened the next day she woke up even if she had been

slept. As Mr. Baron’s hand was about to touch her boobs, the glass window of the suite was smashed

into pieces. One shadow leapt into the suite from the outside followed the other and Mr. Baron widened

his eyes due to shock at once. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

“Who are you?” Mr. Baron was both horrified and raged when he saw them yet he quickly regained his

composure because he had witnessed far many peculiar events during his years in the Ocean City.

“How much money do you want? I can give you whatever you want.” The comers did not utter a word

and they stared at him with an icy look.

Just then, a series of hurried footsteps echoed from the corridor outside the room. A man showed up at

the entrance of the suite while holding a long blade drenched with fresh blood. Mr. Baron’s pupils

shrank the moment he saw the blade in the man’s hand and he was feeling uneasy and nervous. “Who

on earth are you? Tell me what you want and I’ll give it to you.” He tried to calm himself down. How

could he expect that a simple dinner would attract a bunch of desperadoes? The air was filled with a

light smell of blood. With his sharp mind, he could directly tell that those people were not ordinary

robbers and they could most probably be the killers hired by his enemy.

Eijiro glanced at his surrounding and saw Greta who was in Mr. Baron’s arms. Lust flashed across his

eyes. The woman that was mentioned by Sandoval must be her. “We’re here to kill you.” He spoke

blandly without giving Mr. Baron a glimpse at all. The moment he finished his words, those killers that

surrounded Mr. Baron tightly all took one step forward.

“Stop!” Mr. Baron panicked and roared. “Do you know who I am?” Those killers froze as expected. “I’m

the head of the Stanford family---” Without even letting him finish his words, something was shot from

Eijiro’s hand and it pierced through Mr. Baron’s chest. It was a dart. Mr. Baron widened his eyes and a

trace of blood flowed out from the corner of his mouth. He could have never guessed that those people

did not care about his identity and status at all!

“Coward.” Eijiro spoke blandly and threw a disdainful glimpse. His eyes fell on Greta who was half-

drunk and he asked, “Young Master Sandoval said that there’s still another man here. Did you see

him?”

“No. We only saw the woman who was guarding the entrance. She was already defeated by us.” A

subordinate answered. “Let’s go. I’ll lead you all to enjoy the fun.” Eijiro stared at Greta’s writhing sexy

figure and a reckless smile broke upon his lips.
